Extremely disappointed, called in advance to book a available time slot and was told that the reason they do bookings was to prevent overcrowding. The moment I walked in the door I was surprised to see large group of 15-20 people which was fine until I had paid and got situated, and was informed by a employee that I was restricted to two walls and wasn’t aloud to climb the larger walls because the birthday party were there priories and we unable to spot someone that wasn’t in the party on the larger walls. This was very upsetting and made me feel like my money wasn’t valued the same as the group. Luckily the lady at the front desk was understanding and offered to put a credit on my account to cover the equipment rental the next time I was in

Lots of fun and a great work out. It was our first time trying climbing and the staff was very helpful by walking us through a step by step orientation. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent climbing gym with amazing staff! Mostly rope climbing but also a bouldering wall and a small exercise room. They offer courses as well, and sell a small selection of equipment

Great space, staff and community. The routes change at a reasonable rate. Staff are helpful at a level appropriate for one's skill level. The fitness area is basic but high quality and very usable. Safety is a huge priority along with cleanliness and inclusiveness. Plus the area has plenty of great spots to cool down with a drink and/or meal afterward.

Really kid friendly and excellent staff. Been there two times. Once it was very quiet and the other time it was busy and each was a quality experience. The rentals for harnesses and shoes are convinient and they apparently also have birthday parties.

When I arrived here, there were a lot of people, so I couldn't take a picture. When I went there, college students were working hard to climb the rock wall. The atmosphere was filled with the passion of the learning student and the teacher. The space wasn't that big, but there was enough space between people.

A good time and fun day out! We were first timers and the orientation was great. Staff was kind and our fellow climbers were very helpful. Very kid friendly and the day pass means you come back again and again if you’re going to be in the city for a while. Would recommend!

Come here regularly. Very good place. Clean, friendly, helpful. Not the cheapest place to buy things, but that’s not really surprising.

An amazing experience! The staff here are so friendly and very thorough with explaining the proper/safe way to climb. Worth every single penny (very affordable) especially considering it's an entire day pass, so you can stay as long as you want. We will DEFINITELY be back 👍👍👍

Great top rope climbing gym with really kind staff! Mac was kind, patient, and personable to my girlfriend and I and we felt very welcomed by not only him but the rest of the staff.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try something fun and new as we were evacuated during the wildfire in Hammonds Plains. My kids 8 and 10 really enjoyed their experience and are looking forward to coming back. The staff were really helpful and friendly, great instructor. The facility was clean, fun and well laid out.

Incredible experience! My daughter loves it and I’m getting hooked as well (pun intended). Parvin is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. Her energy and passion for helping others is remarkable.

East Peak rules. Great variety of routes for all skill levels. Awesome staff. Routes are changed up often to keep things fresh.

My first time climbing with East Peak was a wonderful and fun experience thanks to their amazing staff and my climbing guru, Annabelle. Mac's training was first rate, with lots of responsible positive reinforcement along the way. They want you to succeed and progress at your at your own level and feel proud of each achievement. On my first try, I got about a foot off the ground and thought that was it. On my third try... made it right to the top. Fist bumps all around. Climbing is a super activity for all ages.

Signed up for the 4 week intro climbing workshop with a few friends and so far it’s exceeded expectations. Ali is a great teacher, facilities are amazing with lots of well marked routes/bouldering wall/top rope/comp routes/auto belays etc, and overall it seems like a very busy and popular spot (without feeling crowded).

A great place to climb. The routes are fun and well thought out. The grades are spot on! Keep up the great work. We will see you again very soon.

Very fun. A little costly, but the fact that you can stay for hours or even leave and come back makes it completely worth it! My son is HOOKED. Staff are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They're gonna be seeing a lot more of us! Edit: My only complaint is their lack of autobalayers and spare balayers. Having been here a bunch of times now, it's starting to get boring a lot faster when they're confined to literally just a couple walls, which really sucks.

Had a great time. The staff were friendly and patient on a very busy night. I took my five year old and everyone was welcoming and supportive.

First EAST PEAK IS AMAZING! However this review is more for feedback purposes. As the app is not accurate for how many people are climbing, when calling to find out if it's worth paying bus cost and sitting on 2 busses for an hour, to be told it's average....is not cool. Having the staff go into a little more detail would be great. The last few times I've called and got Leia, she has said it's average, so we turn up and sit waiting to climb for hours (the gym is so packed you can't move) and then don't get on a route. Then I've overheard multiple membership holders (as I am) complaining about staff letting non-members in during member hours...why pay for a membership then? This is not a bashing review as East Peak is absolutely amazing and deserve an award for being fantastic, but the above things I do think need some consideration.

Great gym if you're into toprope climbing. The bouldering wall is tiny with just a few problems. I don't top rope or auto-belay but they had tall fun walls for all levels. My mum never climbed at a gym before and she thoroughly enjoyed toprope/auto-belay. For what it's worth, she's 50 and 5'2". If your mum is that size, then let her try! Staff is great, and the rental shoes are nice. There are also movie theatres seats for you to sit down in and watch people climb!

What an impressive experience, worth every penny! Helpful and organized staff, friendly, courteous, and encouraging members, a variety of climbing options, and a unique space with eclectic details. Took my 10 yo daughter and 3 of her friends as a birthday experience. Paid the regular (and very reasonable) Day Pass rate, gear rental for each, plus the extra to have a staff member one on one for the hour to guide/belay for them. Well worth it, especially if you happen to get IVAN! Obviously meant to work with others, he is a natural teacher and enthusiastic encourager. His interaction and positivity was authentic, his directions clear, and instructions knowledgeable (not that I have any clue really, but you could tell!). Ivan’s personality and style helped the girls’ confidence shine and their courage explode! Absolutely perfect for rock climbing! They had an incredible time, didn’t want to leave, and will most certainly will be back!

Lead, Top Rope, Auto Belays, Small Boulder wall. Can challenge for lead/top rope certifications, don't need their course. Lead test consists of showing and explaining the dangers of back clipping, z clipping, how to catch a lighter/heavier/same weight climber and considerations for near/far from deck belay technique. Then an announced fall, unannounced fall, and clip the top and lower. Retie knot after every fall. Grigri required for test. Top rope test consists of how to tie a figure 8 with safety and how you know its tied properly. Grigri or atc for this one. Same falls and lower. Good luck!

Love this place. Pricing is a little steep though for punch cards as a family

Every time I go it's amazing! The staff and community are fantastic, the gym is a comfortable size, routes change often, prices are below what I personally expected to pay. I would highly recommend it!

Super helpful and friendly staff in a good sized climbing gym. Lots of top rope but also a dense bouldering wall. Try it out!

Very friendly staff. My son was there for a birthday party. And although he didn't love it due to a fear of heights it was still an awesome place to be. Staff were bright, happy and willing to jump in and help out.

Had an awesome time here. Not from Halifax but my son loves climbing so we thought we'd take him here while in town. The staff were absolutely amazing with him. Showing him how to use the different features of the climbing gym safely. Next time we are in Halifax we will definitely be back.

😠 I was a member at this place for years. Don't know what’s happened lately, but the staff are incredibly rude at times. I was told to get off my phone while I was having a conversation with someone concerning work. However, it was ok for the guy across from me to text and hold up the machine for 25...

👍 I love this gym and love the staff. They leave me alone to do my workout but are there if I need anything. 👍👍 It's a really great studio. Positive energy, great teachers and fun classes. I especially like the chill vibes of the evening yoga which is both a great work-out and calms me down and gets me ready for bed. The classes are always full quite in advance which was frustrating at first, but now that I'm...
