One of the best steak restaurants! The taste was incredible. We had a steak to share for you and it was more than enough. It comes with salad, potato, butter, sour cream and bread! Everything was perfect, especially the medium tbone steak!

Okay so whenever I travel in US or Europe one of the key check list is to find one of the best stakes around. And boy o boy, did I find one. Not only did I find the best one in Hamburg but The Best! I have ever had in my life. A must visit restaurant whenever. In Hamburg. They pretty much have multiple outlets across every german city I guess (saw many in Berlin, 1 even in a small town called Lubeck) We also tried the Agloo Olio pasta which also was spot on. The service was perfect and the ambience and vibe was lively with great view from this particular outlet.

Block House is a Hamburg-based restaurant franchise that specialized on steaks and was formed in 1968. On September 26, 1968, the first Block House opened its doors. I adore everything. The service is excellent, and the entire staff is quite kind. We Indians prefer to consume completely cooked food. I was a little concerned about Meat before attending, but I figured, why not give it a shot? While taking my order, she asked whether I wanted English or German, and I responded English because I am new here. She then asked if I wanted completely cooked beef or pinkish, and I said fully cooked because I was so comfortable. The beef was delicious and well cooked, and the baked potatoes were delicious. The entrance to the restaurant is spectacular. I rarely write such lengthy evaluations, but this location is worth it. The service was excellent. When I want to eat steak, there is no better place than this one. This restaurant is one of my favorites on the list. I enjoy eating at this restaurant. When it comes to the price, I believe it is a little high. If you want a good steak, I highly recommend this dining establishment. I don't know if delevery service available.

Because of new year's day most restaurants were closed and we ended up here. That turned out to be a great experience. Ok there was a 15 minute wait before being seated because the place was packed! My rough estimate is that they can seat over 200 people. Food was delicious. Onion soup had a delicious layer of cheese on top and the ordered rib eye was medium to it's perfection. Service was excellent so a well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars.

Everything was perfect, honestly. We spontaneously got a table with a direct view of the Jungfernstieg. The place was not too crowded so the Atmosphere was pretty cozy. One thing to highlight is the attention of the staff. The waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful all the way. I rarely get this level of service, so thumbs up!! Highly recommend!

A great steak house in a great location that’s next to the river. I believe this is a hidden gem in Hamburg. This restaurant offers mostly American style steaks and burgers. The ribeye steaks are very popular and saw many people order that. I had a Mr. Rumptseak with medium well done. It was grilled perfectly and the steak was juicy and full of flavor. Even though I can not claim it to be one of the best, but it was very delectable. The dish came with baked potato and a French onion soup. The French onion soup was mediocre but the baked potato was awesome. I guess Germans do potato well. The menu also offers many BBQ beef items and burgers. For the people who like fish, our waitress told us that their salmon is very popular too. There is a salad bar like what Sizzler offers in the US. I didn’t have chance to try that but saw many people lined up for the salad bar. The restaurant is not that big and crowded but the staff here are very friendly. Try to seat close to the window and you would have a very good view of the river.

Excellent quality of meat 🍖 . Amazing service 👏 prices are very nice and affordable. Very nice environment and clean restaurant you can see the kitchen is a open plan. And the restaurant has nice view. For sure we gonna visit again!!!

Food is very nice. Bit pricey but you get good portions. We ordered the steak which was very good and the prime chicken which was a bit dry. Also the salmon was good.

One of the best steaks I have had, served in a very warm and nice place. Thanks to the staff, the service is efficient and pretty quick even though it was a busy weekend time. Do not get intimidated by the rude receptionist. We almost left the restaurant and now we are glad we did not. It is a whole different vibe as soon as you step inside the restaurant in the second floor. Highly recommend this place.

I ordered Hereford rib-eye, it was really tasty 😋. I really had a nice time there, nice view to Alster lake. Nice staff . Really recommend

The salad was fresh and very good. I love the Gulasch soap....my highlight. I don't gave 5 Stars because the Fries 🍟 that are those that you buy at the supermarket.

Nice, worm and cozy restaurant, one of the feelings that I can stay there all day. Fast and lovely service, they make shure that everything is in place. We waited 15 min to get in, but it was worth it. And most important, it is pet frendly.

The meat was perfect and delicious! That wasn’t the last time that we have eaten here! The atmosphere is loud, but the good food makes up for it.

We were here on a holiday without a reservation and still got a table for two relatively easy. The steak was very tasty, and so was the potato, the bread, and the salad. The service was very friendly and fast, prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend it and will probably come back :-)

This block house is always full and a bit too packed for my taste. Also, it might just be a German thing, but I ordered a “classic block burger” and got a beef patty with some seared vegetables and garlic bread on the side. It was tasty but not what I expected…

Nice food and helpful staff. The steaks were cooked juicy and delicious. I was there a little bit before lunch time so it wasn't difficult to find a table. But if you can't come before 12, perhaps you should make a reservation. Because the place became full house very quickly.

Very juicy steaks. The salads were also good. They provide the menu in English and some other European language too which is handy for tourists. Very recomended to visit this restaurant!

I went there with friends during a random late night excursion to Hamburg, were better to get hamburgers than in Hamburg right? We all ordered burgers and I had some filled portobello mushrooms and a starter. My burger was really good but we had some language related trouble with ordering one of the burgers, we had to send one of the burgers back 2 times before they got it right. My friend also complained about his burger being overly cooked. The place it self is really well made and clean though, it has a good steak house feel to it, though I would have liked it to be little more quiet. The staff was mostly friendly and polite, our servers English could have been better though.

As a flagship Block House restaurant, it is naturally very crowded during dinner hours, but the staff were still very professional and friendly towards all guests. Especially the staff ( his name is Mehmet) who served my table, was so friendly and helpful, which makes the waiting time more bearable. I would totally suggest to visit during more off-peak hours as the chef might not get the doneness of your steak quite right (I ordered medium rare, and the steak came rare) during dinner hours.

Very nice and cozy place with great view. Kind and fast service, huge menu selection. The stake was the one of the best I ever tasted. I would recommend for the stake lovers.

Nice staff, they speak English and they have a menu translated in English. The steak was very good and the price not high. There is a nice menu that you choose your steak and it comes with fresh salad (a full plate), a garlic slice of bread and thin french fries. The price is very good for the quality and quantity of the steak.

One of the best restaurant in Hamburg Come early to find a place to sit.The food was delicious ,the seating was comfortable The service was good staff friendly you can ask for English menu.The location is in the middle of the city.

The same as everywhere. The friend I was with ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. Breast was just thrown in there uncut on some leaves of salad with something the called parmesan, but it was clearly a cheap knock off of gouda or so. I asked for my steak medium rare. Parts were well done, others were raw without any juices. Would recommend stick with medium or well done since they clearly lack the aptitude. Tartar tasted like pure ketchup. Around the corner at Cafe de Paris you will get better steak and tartar and wine and caesar salad. For nearly the same price.

Very good steak house, you have a great choice of streaks which are cooked just right to you preference. Also Excellent service from the staff.

It was wonderful well done steak and because I am a flexetarian (that is, I only eat meat from countries where animals are treated humanely), the concept of this place was important to me.

We arrived at the restaurant without making a reservation, the restaurant was full but we were immediately seated and the food arrived very quickly. The food is excellent and the service is amazing. We had a great time🍻

Very disappointed. I got the opportunity to attend EMP 2023 exhibition this year and visit Hamburg by the way. I searched steak restaurant on Google Map and attracted by the images. Me and my friends ordered 2 rare ribeye and 1 medium fillet steak. My friend’s rare ribeye is fine, but my rare ribeye was almost well done! The medium fillet steak was also terrible, it tasted like coal！ My well-done ribeye was returned, the a free rare ribeye was offered to me. But this time, the ribeye was almost entirely rare! This first taste of the steak was even cold!! I am very disappointed and will never come to visit this store again! Do not recommend if you want a pleasant steak!
