Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever experienced. My partner and I have been there several times already. You can tell how much love and effort they put into their food, all of their ferments are absolutely delicious and a result of months of preparation. Everything there is homemade, and that makes all the difference, they even made me love tofu ! Everytime we have a lot of energy after eating there and the next day as well. Whether you're vegan or not, if you have the opportunity to go eat their delicious food, don't hesitate !!

It's an organic Japanese vegan restaurant. When the chef asked us if we were Korean, she welcomed us because she was Korean. She was born in Japan and cannot speak Korean, but her parents are from Korea, especially her mother is a haenyeo from Jeju Island. It was a little expensive, but I was very satisfied with the Japanese home cooking. It tasted very healthy. I don't think it'll be easy to taste this taste again wherever you go. I think I found a good restaurant today, so it's nice

Very impressive Japanese home made Vegetarian restaurant. I was very moved by the efforts the owner insist on recipe and taste. We had the cold tofu and Weekend special which is really simple but I can taste the details and works on it. I love the tasting plate of the Weekend special, recommended to have it if you are coming on Fri to Sun. Servers will explain the ingredients of what you are having. I had kombucha with mixed fruits which is refreshing and nice. Vegan Burger and curry with Katsu also beyond my expectations. This restaurant is located in a rustic wooden house, the atmosphere is peaceful, a bit away from the city, yet it's easy to come by Grab car though.

All Japanese, all organic, all vegan, all aesthetically pleasing and all prepared carefully and respectfully. While waiting for your delicious food, peer into their open kitchen, browse their little store, or simply wait on their side deck in a garden atmosphere where you will enjoy your dining experience. That's what I did!

LOVE this place for its well-crafted homemade and natural food. The Japanese owners are very kind. And their kindness and dedication can be felt from this house's warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Japanese curry we had was light in texture, yet so favourful because of the spices. The same can be said with the homemade worcestershire sauce which is the tastiest I have tasted in my life. There is so much packed in the sauce and one couldn't help but appreciate the combination of this sauce and the cold firm tofu. I also love the perfectly fried Tempe tonkatsu and cold charcoal noodles. Don't forget to try to fermented juice of each day. It does not only taste good but feel good for your body! And if you really enjoy how wholesome the food is, I recommend buying house-made sauces and spices which is displayed on the first floor. I bought some back and was really happy that I can now make Japanese curry from scratch, without relying on boxed curry roux. This place easily became my favourite place in Chiang Mai and is on my list of a must re-visit place!

The outdoor area has a nice atmosphere. The staffs ware nice and speak English well. I’m not a vegetarian so I can’t appreciate the food as much. It’s a nice idea. We accidentally order more dishes that come with rice. The owner is nice enough to refund the cost of rice. There were a lot of flies outdoor. I couldn’t enjoy fully because of that.

I ordered Tempe curry and orange cider. The food was delicious even it has no meat. The cider makes you feel fresh and they have many choices in seasonal. Nice customer service. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Nice vegan food. We had a lovely meal in the outdoor seats with a garden view. I only wish they serve riceberry instead of mixed rice. Would have willing to top up and pay extra to eat riceberry here.

A good concept restaurant. Great atmosphere, very cozy and homey style. Parking is also very limited. Took two of my foreign friends there since they are vegetarians. We all agreed that the portion was more like Thai size, not small but none of us was full and a bit pricey. I noticed that their menu is very healthy, so even beverages also have few choices. Service was nice and we had a good time overall.

A Japanese vegan restaurant focuses on fermentation - runs by a Japanese family in the most beautiful part of Chiang Mai Suthep which is both close to nature and centre. They make everything from scratch as I LOVE! I'm chef and not into fermentation, I love fresh and raw food. But I really appreciate the taste and effort goes into their food. First time in my life I loved miso soup. In general miso soup comes out very salty and dense. They do really great work! If you're in Chiang Mai, I highly recommend to go and give them a try. Tempeh bowl was my favorite!

Visited Aeen Japanese Restaurant in Chiangmai and it's easily one of the best vegetarian and vegan spots in town. The emphasis on homemade sauces and locally sourced ingredients ensures you know exactly what you're putting into your body. The menu offers very healthy options, using tempe instead of processed vegan meat. The local-style ambience adds to the charm, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Despite a smaller staff, the service is fast and convenient. I love this place and can't wait to go back.

Simple and Healthy! This is exactly what I wanted to eat after eating spicy and deep fried Thai food for a few days. Wish they have explanations of food on the menu.

Real taste of Japanese homemade cooking. They made their tofu from scratch. The prices are a bit on the high side, but it’s worth it. Give their fermented mango&ginger drink a try 👍🏼👍🏼.
