It's a nice place. They have a small zoo there with lions, ostriches, rabbits, monkeys, different ducks and other amazing animals. There is a restaurant there and many gazebos. You can eat in the restaurant or bring the food with you and have a braai on the river bank. It is possible to go fishing. Friendly owner and his beautiful daughters-twins will offer you a safari, or to see how the lions or Crocodile are fed. You can pet Milo the donkey. We relish this serene place and it's not the first time we are there.

Nice quiet place to have a family picnic, just as long as you are done by 2:30 pm (during the weekend). Thereafter the tranquility is shattered by multiple selfish visitors who play loud music all around the picnic area. I wonder what effect this has in the poor animals in their cages who have no choice but to listen to it? Management needs to look into this a put a policy in place to curb the noise. I'll definitely go again, but this time make sure I'm done and gone before 2pm.

More of a zoo. Pretty run down. No signs or information to be found - had to find and ask someone where to go and what to do. Cages are in need of attention and paths around the cages have many tripping hazards - tree roots and rocks. The safari drive through the park was the best part. Guides were great and very informative.

Went to Bally Vaughan on 24 December for Christmas luncheon. Being a food lover, i was looking forward to the 3 course lunch, arrived about 20 minutes late. They just brought a plate full of rice, lasagne, chicken and veggies, the main course, we received a starter after almost done with the main dish. We had asked about our starter, to my surprise they said its a 2 course meal. Chicken had blood in it - they did however replaced the piece. For the starter it was a tuna inspired meal, yet i don't eat fish. They just served food without asking what we would want. Then for refreshments they only advised after arrival that the meal excludes drink, they only had fizzy drinks going for $2 a glass no juice. The only part i enjoyed was site seeing, nature walks, animal encounter in the sanctuary and feeding the lions. The place is however peaceful and beautiful, there is so much potential. There is also this beautiful big day for canoeing, fishing and cute little waterfall. Tours guides and waiters were lovely just that we didnt enjoy the meal.

A great place to take the whole family. Very tranquil surroundings, excellent for a picnic among the rescued wildlife. Feeding time for the carnivores is not to be missed. Very accessible from Harare, about 40km away.

This place is worth the long drive out of Harare. I mean these guys got one of the smoothest safari game drives u can ever want. The tour guides are fun and soooo knowledgeable. Had an awesome time at the cages as well. Their packages are good. We surely enjoyed their meals as well. Cant remember what I ate but it was hella good!

They have some uncommon animals which makes it interesting. Beautiful place for family. They have a natural swimming pool which the kids can play in. Its near Harare so you can go and come back one the same day.

Just outside Harare a place to relax and sight different animals. If your stay in Harare is short and you cannot make it to Victoria Falls it's a place to visit.

🐾✨ A day of wild wonders starting with heartwarming tiger encounters! 🐅💕 I wandered through the sanctuary, marveling at the playful monkeys swinging, ostriches strutting, and vibrant birds dancing in their enclosures. This rescue centre and safe haven is the perfect spot to visit for a fun day out, they do a great job at maintaining the enclosures and ensuring that all the animals get the love they deserve.

Not far from the CBD, ideal for a day trip. It was worthy while spending the day with wife and kids. They enjoyed every second. The artificial waterfall, the lions, canooing is exceptional

Having visited the Animal sanctuary for the second time in 12years, it's still an amazing place to picnic, braai, chill with friends and family. It's very child friendly and viewing the animals and learning about them is one of the best parts, thou this time around they where a few missing from the last time I visited.
