I went to Mbizi with my friend for the Easter vacay and we stayed for a night. What l can say is, I expected more on the house keeping and activities. The standards have fallen since my other friend visited and recommended the resort. However, the beauty of the terrain, forestry and the environment remains. It is a place ld recommend to someone seeking an out of town getaway experience. Activities I am a very adventurous person, so l enjoyed the Burma bridge, Zipline and team building activities. They were the highlight of my stay at Mbizi. I also enjoyed canoeing at sunset and capturing the beautiful sun as it set beyond the hills overlooking the river bank. It was beautiful. Gloria and l ended up not experiencing the much acclaimed speedboat because it broke down before we could ride. ( They need to improve and get a better boat, have this one serviced often to retain the visitors who are thrilled by this activity) Nature walk Walking around the beautiful park was amazing. We captured pretty pictures. We deliberately dropped the game drive after we were told that animals were few and the rock paintings not as big and impressive as we thought they were. Swimming Mbizi has a strategically positioned pool at the highest point of the park. There you can see all around the lodges and swim in a naturally looking pool. I feel more works needs to be done to keep it clean and functioning Horse riding Am outsourced service that we enjoyed too. I'd recommend this to anyone. The feeling of riding a horse is amazing. I just wish Mbizi did not have to outsource this service. It is a crowd puller on its own. House keeping I love my comfort. So the doinky blankets I found at Mbizi broke my heart. I however was consoled by the beautiful furniture in our room the dressing table, carpet,wardrobes, shelves and our twin beds with nicely quilted and customised bedcovers. So it was a mixed experience. I just wish they could improve on the highlighted issues Mbizi is pretty accessible. I however hated that Google maps only takes you up partially. Maybe they should add more signs, directions to assure the visitor they are on the right course. Otherwise l enjoyed my stay. I rested enough.

A home away from home. We were made to feel so comfortable and welcomed. Dinner and breakfast were great even for our little fussy eaters. Beautiful location for a pool on top of a rock. The game was good with a well informed guide. It's a shame some locals are chopping off the trees for firewood illegally

It was amazing. The Staff was absolutely fabulous and so enthusiastic. The Zip lining was fun and the facilities are well maintained. The only regret was the pool not being functional but I loved it...

The prices at the bar especially for soft drinks are out of this world. If you forget to buy something before you get there you are in trouble.

Mbizi is a quiet area which z good fo refreshing, meditation and relaxing. There are various activities to enjoy yoself

Serene dam area. Staff is friendly especially catering. Didn't get a chance to go game viewing but saw the animals going for a drink and it was amazing. Pool area is perfect and picnic area is also perfect for braaing and games.

It's a very quiet and serene environment with plenty of activities and amenities. However, the game drive does go a bit too fast, so some correcting may definitely be needed there.

It's just a picnic spot. Didn't try the food. You can spend some time there, can bring your own lunch so good spot to spend an evening or day out. Don't expect much though

Its a great place to rewind mostly for the weekend. Very close to the city but having that outdoor feeling. Liked it.
