Inside the temple, so photography is allowed. You can go there by walking or by ropeway. Only to this temple, return ticket is 220 per head. Nice experience. Heavy rush.

It is located at much higher altitude. Rope way is really good and reliable. View from above is excellent. Neat and clean premises. Few shops and hotels are there at the top near temple. Few amusements are there while entering. Security check in is strict. Keep your entry passes handy while entering and during exit for both the temples.

This temple is located on the Neel parvat on the hills in the holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand state. It is a siddha peeth where desires get fulfilled and one of the panch teerths in Haridwar. As per mythology, Goddess Parvati took the form of Chandi and killed demons Shumbh - Nishumbh & Chand - Mund at this place. Flowers, sweets, garland, insence sticks are offered to the deity and can buy from INR 50. It is about 4 kms from Har ki Poudi and entry is free. We used cable car to go to the temple which cost us INR 193.

Devi ma temple is there . You can reach there by walk or by rope way. History of the temple is .. Goddess Chandi also known as Chandika is the presiding deity of the temple. The story of the origin of Chandika is as follows: Long time ago, the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha had captured the kingdom of the god-king of heaven - Indra and thrown the gods from Swarga (heaven). After intense prayers by the gods, a goddess emerged from Parvati. An exceptionally beautiful woman and amazed by her beauty, Shumbha desired to marry her. On being refused, Shumbha sent his demon chiefs Chanda and Munda to kill her. They were killed by goddess Chamunda who originated out of Chandika's anger. Shumbha and Nishumbha then collectively tried to kill Chandika but were instead slain by the goddess. Thereafter, Chandika is said to have rested for a short while at the top of Neel Parvat and later a temple was built here to testify the legend. Also, the two peaks located in the mountain range are called Shumbha and Nishumbha About the location.. The Temple is located at a distance of 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from Har ki Pauri. To reach the temple one has to either follow the three kilometre trekking route from Chandighat and reach the shrine by climbing a number of steps or climb the recently introduced rope-way (cable car) service. The rope-way service known as Chandi Devi Udankhatola was introduced for the benefit of the pilgrims and it caters to the pilgrims also to the nearby located Mansa Devi shrine. The rope-way carries the pilgrims from the lower station located near Gauri Shankar Temple on the Nazibabad Road directly to the Chandi Devi Temple located at an altitude of 2,900 metres (9,500 ft). The total length of the ropeway route is about 740 metres (2,430 ft) and height is 208 metres (682 ft). There is a dense forest on the other side of the hill and the ropeway offers scenic views of the Ganges River and Haridwar. The temple is run by the Mahant who is the presiding priest of the temple. On a normal day, the temple is open between 6.00 am. to 8.00 pm. and the morning aarti at the temple begins at 5.30 am. Leather accessories, non vegetarian food and alcoholic drinks are strictly prohibited in the temple premises. Significance ….. The temple is one of the most ancient temples of India. Thousands of devotees flock to the temple, especially during the festivals of Chandi Chaudas and Navratra and the Kumbha Mela in Haridwar, to seek the blessings of the goddesses who is believed to fulfill their wishes. The temple is a must visit for the pilgrims going to Haridwar. Very near to the Chandidevi temple, the temple of Anjana, mother of Hanumanji is located and devotees visiting Chandi Devi temple also visit this temple. Neeleshwar Temple is also situated at the foot of the Neel Parvat. It is said that Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. The temple of Mansa is exactly on the other side of the hilltop on the Bilwa Parvat on the opposite bank of River Ganges. Thank you 🙏🏻

Chandi Devi mandir is beautiful, you can get here by cable car (or you can say ropeway) which costs you around 200 rupees for 1 round trip. By entering the temple we can able to see the chandi Devi statue and on the left side of gallery there is a door by which we can get inside to pay our tribute. Lots of people come here per day and they tie holy chunri and wish for success and happiness. After this you got to see stairs by which you get downstairs and here some other statues of God's are present with a number of shops like bangles, clothes, Jewellery, sweets, etc. Beware of monkeys as they try to snatch the Prasad and other eatable items.

I had last visited this temple about 12 years ago. The pilgrim influx was less and crowd control was far better managed then. Now, in spite of the lessons from the 2-year old pandemic, there is no social distancing, there is nobody to control the crowds, though several security personnel can be seen chit-chatting with each other. The only difference is the escalation in the cost of everything, the ostensible reason being rise in petrol prices. One 7-seater driver also had the temerity to say that they would increase the conveyance by ₹ 5 every week, you do whatever you want!!! Ditto with the food vendors outside the temple. Another major problem is the Pooja stores which are located just around the temple, and their agents literally hound you to buy offering items at vastly inflated prices. Even more intrusive, they simply increase the crowd without any significant benefit to the temple nor the devotees, but simply add to the general confusion, and chaos for both.

Peaceful place.Take combined ticket of rope way along with Vashno Devi mandir and visit Chandi Devi first. There is an option of premium tickets which is 3 times more costly with no waiting else average waiting time is more than 1 hour depending on your day of visit. Leave your car in hotel and take auto for commuting

I started my journey for Chandi Devi temple at 10 pm. First we reached at Mansa devi temple and booked the combined ticket for "uraan khatola" for both the temples. Then after waiting for sometime in the queue we finally started our rope way journey to chandi Devi temple. The scenery was indeed quite mesmerizing. After 10 minutes we reached our destination which is maa's temple🙏🙏. First we kept our shoes at the free shoe stalls and started walking for the temple. Taking pictures is prohibited in the mandir premises, so I take some outside pictures of the prangon area. Then we entered the temple. There was so much gathering of the people who came from different places for the darsan of Chandi maa. The inside of the temple and Chandi MAA bigroho was very pleasant and so beautiful. After the darsaan we stalled through the mandir premises market and bye some things and then left for the food court. Our overall experience of this mandir visit was awesome. If you visit haridwar must visit this temple.❤️❤️

This temple is really worth visiting. Due to its less crowd and also spacious places and also pleasent view from above, it can easily give you some peace of mind. And also many people doesn't know that there is another temple except Maa Chandi Devi temple at the same places but you have walk above about 100 meters to view it. There is temple of Hanuman and Maa Anjani.

It's a beautiful Holy place with very positive vibes. It is situated on top of a hill, where you can reach by cablecar/ropeway, or by walking also, it is completely on your preferences and health condition. I went through cablecar/Ropeway, it allowed me to cover the distance in less time and also enabled me to enjoy the views of hills and Ganges. I reached earlier and got enough time to spend in front of maata. Jai maata ki.

Chandi devi temple is situated on Neel parvat. One can use the ropeway to reach on top. The ropeway ticket comes as a package of Manasa devi and Chandi devi together or one journey INR 220. The ropeway ticket booking and line of waiting are very well managed. On top of the hill there are shops available to purchase Pooja samagri. The waiting time depends on the time of the day. Visit earlier to get a peaceful dharshan. Also Anjaani dev mandir is nearby to visit after chandi devi temple.

Pracheen temple. There are 2 ways. One by roadwalk for 4kms. Another is by Trolley ride. We took trolley for both Mansa Devi temple and Chandi devi. It costed 724rs. To Manasa Devi, they will take via trolley and we have to climb some 10 steps to temple from there. After coming back from temple, again we should go by trolley. From exit , we should walk some 300mts to Chandi devi pickup point. A TT will be arranged to pick you up and from drop point, we should take Trolley again to Chandi devi. After darshan, we should come back to TT pickup point via Trolley. TT will leave us back at Mansa devi end/entry point. Trolley route is long for Chandi devi with good view. Shoe keepers won't charge any money. Note: Mask is NOT required for Manasa devi but mandatory for Chandi devi.

There are two goddess temple mansa devi and chandi devi. I took tour package from Mansa devi which cost me ₹450. It included to and fro of rope way for both temple and to and fro transportation from Mansa devi to Chandi Devi. The approx distance between both the temple is about 10 km. Although if you want you can visit both individually without opting for tour package. You will also find anjani devi temple near chandi devi temple. This place has a restaurant where you can sit and relax also.
