If you read my reviews you would know that I am usually positive and tend to try to always be so. But our experience at the funplex was such a disappointment. I truly hope the owners take a good look at these reviews and try to make some changes. The place was overpriced and half of the games didn’t work. The kids went from game to game not able to play any games they wanted. A ticket to fiesta Texas is cheaper and 100x a better value. The 20 signs at the counter that said “no refunds” was the first red flag. The place is run down and the workers are mostly rude and obviously untrained. This place could be something with better management

I took my daughters to this place this past Sunday and it really wasn’t worth it. The outside is super dirty and building can’t possibly be up to code. You can tell it was a nice place when it first opened but the current owners don’t care. In the arcade only a few games worked, the skating ring was the best part. They have rides that you can get on but they were outdated and there were no attendants. The place feels like a big ball of germs, touching anything makes you feel dirty. The bowling alley was nice but not it’s in a corner and is easily missed. I didn’t trust the food because the ordering counter was dirty, machines haven’t been cleaned or whipped down. It was a no for me. The staff want friendly, very nonchalant, poor hygiene/super musty and had attitudes. I will say except for the ticket lady at the front and the young men that ran the skating ring. I drive from Katy thinking to try a new place but that drive wasn’t worth it. Save your money because it is expensive and you can’t comfortably enjoy anything!!

The place was not what it advertised to be, it looked run down from the inside and was not too welcoming. We walked around to see if it was a place we would want to stay and have fun but many of the rides were either not functioning or did not have staff to operate. We left.....

The place looks like fun. From what I heard if planning for a birthday party, the service sucks. From what I experienced, I was kind of disappointed. I asked for 2 meals and a soda, which according to my math was only $36 but somehow the waitress charged me $45 before tip. When I asked for the receipt, she told me her machine didn't work but she would bring it to me, she never came back with it. And I've never seen a bar/restaurant charge me before I take my first bite either like this one did. Not a very good first impression.

This place is a Dump. 60% of the arcade games are broken. Safety is not a concern. Food is outrageously expensive. Bathrooms are horrible. Go to chucky cheese or Peter piper pizza. And the no refund policy is a joke. Don't come here .

Paid for my sons birthday party, booked in the crystal room. Party area was not ready for a half hour after the time we booked. Several of the fun attractions are not working as well which was a bummer. The manager, not sure his name, was more than helpful in getting us accommodated and expediting our wristbands and game cards. It looks a bit run down but we had a great time. Communication seems like it could be better, along with some aesthetic touch ups. There’s an obvious abundance of maintenance work that could be implemented to brighten the place up. Pizza for the party was good, our hostess was pleasant and helpful as well. We had a great time all in all.

I don't like that's place, I pay $200 and many of restrictions are not working, at the beginning they said all activities are working but that's not true, we pay for nothing, I don't recommend that place

This place is a rip off. I purchased 3 the all day ride passes and most of the rides are now working. Only 3 bumper cars working, the Ferris wheel not go carts not working most of the arcade games are now work I have 3 of those all day passes. This will definitely be my last time here. How can an establishment have all day passes and most of the rides and arcade games are not working. Talk about a rip off. If I could give zero stars I would. fun plex do better this is unacceptable or close down if all the rides and games not gonna work.

I had my 6 yr old bday party here this August 2023; just needed to beat this heat and have fun in some air lol. The pros are: everything turned out nice as heck; they were super nice and caring. A nice young lady met at the front door, introduced herself, and escorted me upstairs to my party room. She was also my personal assistant; she was so helpful and understanding that I loved her. The office staff was also very understanding and compassionate. I kept asking questions they never got mad or angry even after she explained details to me before. The gift shop experience was also superb; the manager had to help us; bcuz they were short staffed He's awesome and patient. He allowed us to keep playing to rack up like 77 more points, and he waited on us, My daughter heart was set on a certain toy. Now the cons the room was a little hot need 😩 fans some of my guest kept saying it's hot; they were very short staffed one guy was controlling two rides it was painful to see 😳that all of my complains. Finally decision....I would definitely return with my kiddos soon

When I first moved to Houston I couldn't believe that such an establishment existed! Indoor amusement park, what??! And for a reasonable price considering everything was unlimited. Just like an outdoor park my baby could ride over and over, as much as his little heart was content. Today I came in, now paying more for less. 60+ bucks, just him, and he can only get on anything 10 times. Very disappointing. Likely a new management issue, someone more than ambitious and blatantly money hungry. Imho, unless the real amusement parks are closed or there are weather emergencies/rain, families would do better to just go to a real amusement park. That way, you pay your fee and you can ride and ride and ride until the park closes or until you get tired and go home, but one fee for all. You would spend less at a full blown amusement park, with alot more options for rides. Save your money, this place isn't priced for families. Last time I got on the rides and my baby and we paid less. This time I just paid for him and it was over 66 bucks. 3 hr time slot but these rides literally last 40 seconds. He ran through the 10 ride limit in less than 5 mins and was mad at me because he couldn't ride any more. Bothered me so much to see him so upset. An hour drive to be allowed to be on rides for less than 5 minutes 🤣. And get this, if I'd paid $100, literally, it won't only allow him 5 more mins . No option whatsoever for unlimited rides. Man eff this place and the owner.

Dulce, our coordinator, was amazing! She put up with all my requests and made our daughter’s party happen! All her staff was super helpful and welcoming. Our bartender Cali made the best strongest drinks! She definitely calmed my nerves with those drinks! Our hall was Silver Palace and it was the perfect venue for our daughter. Thank you infinity. ❤️

I have been to Funplex plenty of times in the past and I was pretty excited about bringing the kids again but unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. This place is very overpriced. Games did not work. If you want to get inside the Playport you have to pay $20 per child in addition to everything else. The staff is extremely rude. I had this gentleman try to honor my Groupon to avoid the hesitation of buying it and then redeeming it. After a few minutes I found out I had paid for only rides and apparently the employee was new and didn’t know that they couldn’t honor Groupons, unless it was bought directly through Groupon, there is signs everywhere that say there is NO refunds and/or exchanges so you can just imagine how that conversation went. Staff was unpleasant, although it was their mistake and not mine. The building was pretty empty and I have seen why. They need better management, and they need to train their employees about customer service. I would not recommend to bring your kids here to spend a family day unless you are willing to spend a good buck $$$

Fun little spot to go to when you have free time with the kids. The roller rink was extremely chill and relaxing, as well as the bowling alley. Since it was a weekday, there weren't very many people there, so it was the perfect time to go.

My day at Funplex was a most satisfying escape from the ordinary in many years. That's actually an understatement - when I first entered, I was totally blown away. The building is 200,000 square feet! There were large groups of kids coming and going while I was there, everyone was having a blast They are making various upgrades and recently opened their esports gaming center. They have a variety of PC titles for kids and adults, including my favorites like CS:GO and League of Legends. The room has fiber speeds, good quality rigs, peripherals and displays. They're also renovating their bowling alley, can't wait for the new facility to open, it's going to be top of the line. I didn't get a chance to bowl or skate but will definitely do so. The restaurant was really good, I ate there a number of times. Had a killer veggie burger and a fresh pizza that was baked in just ten minutes (it was cheesy, full of toppings and delicious). Also recommend the quesadillas (I made sure mine had extra jalapeno, cheese and onions). Didn't get a chance to try the desserts but they looked good. Ate my food with a fountain soda from the bar. Good times. What truly sets Houston Funplex apart is the attention to detail and the dedication to providing an unforgettable experience. The park is clean and well-maintained, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your safety and enjoyment. In my time there, I saw that management worked extremely hard and genuinely cared about creating magical memories for each and every visitor. Simply, it's a mainstay in the community. Everyone can unleash their inner thrill-seeker there. Looking forward to coming back.

This place has a lot of potential...lots of cool things inside, but literally 60-70% of the arcade games were not working. The ice cream tasted like it was old. The play port was fun, but there was no confers for safety. Shoes all over the place. Too many kids in the ball bit.

We are visiting from Chicago. My sisters husband owns a restaurant in Katy and he recommended some fun for us and the kids. We waited till the traffic died down to come out. Obviously we arrived close to closing time. We walked in the door and loved the atmosphere. We were greeted by Syed at the front desk. That’s where impeccable service started. Being in the hospitality industry you know the first impression by front line staff is so important, and he definitely set the tone. With excited kids we went to this totally cool vault with lasers inside that you try to work around without hitting. A game of skill, the kids could’ve stayed in there all day it was so fun. You can also see your kids on the screen outside the vault. Daniel was another star employee, he couldn’t have been more kind or accommodating. He was patient with the length of time we played and never seemed inconvenienced.. This is a VERY VERY different attitude compared to employees in the Chicago area who hate to be work in the first place, let alone be nice while counting down the last minutes on the clock. My kids had a blast on the fireball ride - highly recommended for daredevils! The arcade games could use a tune up but the many other amusements including bowling outweigh any complaints on those items. We understand not everything is operating perfectly anywhere these days. The bar in the bowling alley was great. Zoe took care of us, helped me find my lost phone and delivered our food that the chef made last minute!!! We are elated with our experience. Thank you Houston Funplex. We will be back!

Excellent service by William at The office bar every time I go. He's always friendly and very attentive to our beverage and food needs. Very relaxed atmosphere. Never really over crowded. This place has a very comfortable vibe with couches if you wanna watch a game or 2 pool tables available if you like playing pool. I will continue coming and supporting this business do to great customer service always.

Horrible place to take your kids or family. We came here on a Monday. They were understaffed. They had 5-6 rides that the kids were able to ride on, and only 1 person operating all the rides. After riding some rides, we complained to the front desk. We asked the worker to let us ride some rides, which we couldn't because she did not know how to operate them. We had our kids playing in their area with slides and tubes. We were approached by a member of staff saying they did not have the area open, even though there was no signage saying the area was closed. When we complained about not having a good experience and that we did not appreciate the way we were being talked to. I was asked to leave the premises, and they would not process a refund. When I did leave, the manager called the cops saying I refused to leave the premises. I talked to the cops and they said I would not be allowed to return, which I have no plans on in the future.

I installed the lanes there and just recently installed new gutters and pin setters... The place is huge with lots to do for everyone. If you have young children be advised the music they have been playing in the bowling area is explicit. So if you don't want your children and who does to hear explicit language in the songs playing you may want to visit somewhere else. Other than that, like I said there is plenty to do, bumper cars, arcade, skating rink, of course the above mentioned bowling lanes. Yes, plenty to do for the kids and Family. Also, I do apologize but I don't know any of the prices. During the week while we were doing the gutters it wasn't very busy and you could walk in and get straight to bowling with no wait. I could see late afternoons and evenings are probably very busy! So, for a Family I would say during the day 12 to 3 or so would be a great time for a Family to go. The later probably the more single you are maybe the better. Maybe....

We had a birthday party upstairs. One thing I didn't like was we had strangers/ other patrons running through our party trying to get to the elevators. Additionally our hostess did not bring enough plates, cups, or Napkins for the party. We had to make separate requests for each item. It was quite frustrating. Overall the children enjoyed themselves and the birthday boy did as well.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! The concept is neat. But overall our experience was just OK everything is way overpriced. For two people to skate it was over $40 that's ridiculous plus my skates were broken and the guy said well that's what they're like and for over $20 per person you can afford to fix some skates. Plus the music was so loud in the skating ring you could barely hear somebody next to you and I don't mind rap but it's a skating ring why can't we have a variety of music playing. The music was terrible and it was just the music that the people working there wanted to listen to. Plus in some areas it just seems really dirty. My kids did enjoy the play area but I wonder how much it's cleaned? The carpet looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in a week. And when we were playing some arcade games some of them didn't even work. Overall I probably would not come back unless they made some major changes. I would not waste your time!

I would have probably gave it a 2 but the experience got better towards the end. I must say the renovation as awesome. We booked a party for like 14 kids and we had a host… things could have gone a lot smoother. Just not what we were expecting and there’s a fee for the host. We had to keep asking for the simple things plates drinks when they should have been brought out. Some of the cards were not working. It got better after a bit. But was stressful to start with. We done our parties at other places and was more organized. For the price the experience could have been better.
