We’ve been traveling up and down the east coast for work this week and this is by far the best hotel experience we’ve had. Our room was incredibly clean, spacious and had all the appliances you could need. The room looked recently remodeled and the bed was really comfortable. We both found ourselves thinking it’s a shame we only planned to stay for one night before having to move on. Five stars all around!

Despite having booked a few weeks prior, I had to be downgraded a room because they were overbooked (queen to double). When I arrived, the smell of my room was overpowering. It smelled like a clean, powdery smell, but it was overwhelming and strong. It stung when I breathed. Looking at the comforter of my bed, it looks like the smell was to cover up a previous smoker. The comforter had burn marks from the cigarette. The bathroom seemed to be unfinished. Behind the door was filthy. I had a hard time falling asleep because of the smell. It's also located very close to a very busy road, so the noise pollution was really bad. You definitely get what you pay for compared to the other hotels in the area, but I would recommend spending extra money and getting somewhere nicer.

This place has issues - flies, ROACHES, room stinks. No exhaust in bathroom. Front desk didn’t give another room. Just said only can cancel the booking and no other rooms can be provided. It is not worth the price! Breakfast is good. Do not recommend RAMADA INN @ Harrisonburg

We arrived- reservations well in advance for a wedding . We had to be moved - first room had bad hot water- lukewarm at best. The beds were not on anything but a metal frame that was too big for the bed. When we complained they offered to fix it... I expect hot water when I check into a hotel. Two days later they offer to move us to a room where the tub works great. Except it didn't. The tub would not stop up. Elan offered to cut us a deal for our debacle. We were to come see him the next day. We did. He comped our dog fee of $60. One point we called for the room and they yelled at us over the phone, but when you walked down to the desk the attitude changed. Elan didn't want a bad review because- " this place is a mess and the staff is bad. They don't listen and I am trying to get them better. I've only been hotel manager for 2 weeks. " this place- sucked. They were rude, the rooms basic but not even working properly, they double booked rooms so they couldn't upgrade us or move us a 3rd time .

Room was affordable and cheap for pet accommodation but that’s where it ends in praise. The room was disgusting, one of the bed sheets had stains, the walls by the other bed were filthy. In the evening I went to the restroom and there were several roaches crawling on the desk where my bag was as well as on the floor. Breakfast was in another hotel and that was equally as bad. All in all I would not recommend nor would I ever stay here again. 0/5 stars.

This was a very good experience. With the hotel being pet friendly, the staff and guests were super respectful of the pets. The staff was nice and friendly. The grounds were clean and a refreshing place to relax. I will defiantly be coming back here.

RESPONSE TO “OWNER”: What’s sad is a 3.7 rated hotel’s management is more concerned with responding unprofessionally to a Google review than making their business a better place for travelers to stay. [read other reviews] Normally, I would agree that it is odd for us to watch people at all hours of the night, but is extremely difficult not to look at where the obnoxious and loud noises are coming from. We’d appreciate others being transparent so we would not waste our time or money. We stayed next door to this location and it was super sketchy. People milling around outside at all hours of the night. People coming and going--just made you wonder what the heck is going on over there. Didn't get great vibes from the place, so I wouldn't imagine we'd ever find ourselves staying there.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 days and planned on another because my car is in the shop so we were waiting on it to be ready. So before we could get going and make it to the back to pay for our the room for one last night 11 am came and we were abruptly meet by an awful and uncalled for interaction with some older gentleman and a older women. Ethnicity not quite none but it really doesn't matter with it being 2024. We had told them that we had the money that we had to go by the bank to get it due to some sort of technical issue but without even getting out every word the gentleman said " No! no, it's ok, you go now! We been here 3 times and you got no money yet." Im guessing if you're using the bathroom at the time they come around it's not a good thing. Just real bad communication, and just rude people. Not all were this way!!! The cleaning services people were awesome. The rooms were nice as well! I just would not recommend going here. So as we left we thought we would show our generosity even after the fact and to make sure we get our deposit back we went ahead and cleaned the room. As we were leaving they told us that we were going to be deducted $40 for taking 2 hours to pack up and leave the room knowing we have no car atm. Leaving us in the cold elements with a uhaul trailer pack with our belongings outside cause our car isn't ready today. I apologize for this long review but it has to be shared.

Really dirty room- stains over the bed, dirt on the table and floor. Indefinable strong stench that doesn‘t let you sleep. Also it is really noisy.

The room was sizeable, and the bed was comfortable. Large flat screen on the wall, great reception. Clean bathroom. Microwave and full refrigerator/freezer. 😎👍🏾

I stayed for a week, & the hospitality was amazing. Furthermore the Newly rooms are excellent & very clean. Would highly recommend to any business, and or working travelers. Thanks again Ramada. C.K the manager was very helpful along with the rest of his staff. Great job Ramada Harrisonburg.

The room was nice, clean and smelt clean. Sheets had some black marks on them. Hairdryer came off the wall while I was drying my hair. Front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful since she had to come to the room and fix the TV when we got there.

Room was recently renovated and was very nice and clean. Bed was comfy and clean and although our phone didn't work and TV was not working, i went to front desk where they got on it right away with the TV but phone was never fixed. No big deal I have a cell phone. Only real co.plaint would be from the hotel next door where we had to check in due to the lateness of our arrival. The front desk person was rude to a certain degree and not as helpful as I would expect from a customer service rep. Anyway he told me the charge for the room but never mentioned a deposit so I saw a charge for more than should've been and I went to the front desk next day where it was explained. Could've been avoided but at any rate nothing major. So 4 stars I give and yes I would stay here again in the future.

I was quite pleasantly surprised that my stay was NOT entirely what I expected. I’ve been all over this country, and have seen many motels. Based on past experiences, I was expecting an awful gross experience… but what I got was smiling faces, clean bedding, and a nice pool experience at the Ramada in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I stayed here while my truck was in the shop. It was so nice, that on my second night, I actually had my wife and kid drive down from Pennsylvania to stay with me! We had the typical free hotel breakfast and spent some time in the pool. And there’s this very quaint Mexican Restaurant across the street that made my stay that much more enjoyable. I was in a bad headspace due to my truck issues, but my experience at the Ramada helped me to put on a happy face.

I'd give 5 stars, but I could hear everything from the room next door. There was a door in between my room and that room, which probably didn't help. I don't know if all rooms are like that. The neighbors had a dog and someone was in there hacking all night long. It was terrible. The room was good and the wifi was solid, but I wouldn't stay here again.

After driving 10 hours, it was a relief to finally relax on a comfy bed in my quiet, clean, and spacious room. It looks newly decorated and well appointed with awesome flat screen TV, coffee maker, large dorm fridge, new micro-wave, iron and board, fluffy towels, a great shower and a heavenly bed. CK at the front desk treated me like a friend, was accommodating for my special needs, and he directed me to the large parking area where I could park my truck and cargo trailer (within sight of my room). Yummy breakfast started at 6:30 so I could get back on the road early. Convenient to the highway, several gas stations, Dunkin Donuts and several restaurants. This will be my regular stop when I'm driving through Virginia. Oh... it's a great value, too!

When we arrived we were welcomed by Elon at the front desk. At first we were booked into a room on the second floor and there was no elevator. Since we’re elderly we asked if we could be on the first floor and Elon promptly put us in a first floor room. The room was great. The breakfast was served in an adjoining hotel. Breakfast was great. All and all it was a great experience. Thanks.

Checking in was amazing! The young lady at the counter took the time to answer questions and help me. Breakfast was grab and go, but we visited in early February, so we understand they are not as busy, still had a good selection. The room is dates but LOVED the floors, no carpet is the best! You can see they are slowly doing some things to update the rooms. Bed was super comfortable. Dog area needed cleaned because people can't pick up after their own dogs. We are also in hospitality and are always picking up after other dogs. So if you travel with a dog, be a good human and PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG!! 1 it is gross, 2 it is not good for other dogs 3 it doesn't just go away!

Greeted by who appeared to be manager. He was very helpful and due to handicapped request, he showed us the room first to make sure I was comfortable with shower and gettin in and out. Room was clean but a little noisy but we chose to stay close to interstate so no blame to them. Pool even had chair lift to use.

We were just passing through so only needed a place to sleep. The man at the desk was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms where clean and nice enough. Beds were comfy plenty of pillows , towels etc. the only bad thing was we couldn’t lock the dead bolt as it wouldn’t line up with the hole in the door jam. I was ok with that as my son is a Marine and has his concealed carry

From the outside, it looks like an old motel with exterior doors, but the interior has been updated and nicely decorated. A great choice for a convenient stop off I-81 in Harrisonburg, VA. Strong shower pressure! Nice breakfast in the lobby on your way out.

The staff was friendly. The bed was pretty comfortable. But the bathroom door didn't close properly. There was no chair to sit in and fill the giant open area beside the bed. The light for the bathroom and over the outer sink was the same so there was no way to not blast light into the room if you used the bathroom in the middle of the night. The shower curtain rod was not properly installed so that the shower curtain could properly close on either end and not flood the floor. The towels felt like sandpaper. The shampoo didn't later at all.

The staff was very accommodating and nice. The room was very clean however the chairs did show a lot of personal use with some concerning stains. Other than that the bed and other furniture was very nice and comfortable. The linens were very clean and fresh smelling. The room also has very good shampoo, soaps, coffee, and other nice products stocked in each room.

The young man at the desk is WONDERFUL!!! Our room smells like cigarette smoke and I only wanted to let them know so I wasn’t charged. He offered to move us and was super nice. I just think he’s a whole vibe! I could not pick a few things but it was a great room. We’ll definitely stay again! The young lady over at Microtel’s desk at night was so helpful and sweet too!! Great job guys!!!

For just one night of the road it was ok. Bed not super comfortable and I wished I had my own pillow. Convenient right off interstate and a reasonable price but don’t expect much else. Room needed updated furniture.

Its tucked back beside MicroTell. We almost missed the turn in. Very clean. Lobby smelled great! Friendly staff. Rooms are nice and updated. AC works. TV and microwave both work. Bathroom was small but clean! We were disappointed as the pool was closed. My kids were really looking forward to that. Complimentary breakfast included pancake maker, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage links, bagels, toast, muffins and juices.. This is close to Cracker Barrel, and Pizza Hut delivers! Only 10.9 miles from Massanutten Resort!!! Overall 7/10

Property is closer to a motel than a hotel due to exterior corridors but was surprisingly quiet. Room was very clean. Front desk was efficient and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Shower was AMAZING!!! Only downside was a dirty sock from a previous guest I found in the corner by the HVAC unit. Didn't want to touch that. Had to checkout at the Microtel in front of the Ramada because the Ramada was short-staffed and couldn't open their front desk until 8:00 AM (if I remember the time correctly).

Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Fairly quiet considering the location plus being full. It was easy off and back on to Route 81N, which was great upon my arrival. I had been driving for 8 hours, so I was happy it was easy to find.

Very nice for the value! Clean room and comfortable beds. Great shower with multiple shower head settings for stiff muscles from driving all day. We so appreciated just finding a room late on a Thursday night since a nearby hotel had been oversold online and didn't have any available rooms for 3 adults. The desk clerk was friendly, sympathetic to our situation and gave us an AARP rate even though I didn't have my membership number. Highly recommend!
