Stayed here 4 nights in second half of a fortnight Cuba round-trip. To Cuban standards a decent, correct hotel. Would go again without doubt. Hidden gem: bring your snorkeling material!! The decayed looking sea basin/swimming area is a treasure trove of tropical sea-life. Best snorkeling place we encountered in Cuba so far. Upsides: correct prices at the bar, clean, very decent restaurant (for Cuba). The downsides: Smoking was allowed inside at the bar; there is a public disco at least once a week, our room was luckily on the other side; some very much needed maintenance/restoration was ongoing (wet paint, inaccessible parts.

-Room The room is overall clean, a little bit old but was kept in good maintenance. A/C works well, and you can use the hot shower anytime. You can find FOX, BBC and many international channels on TV. Beds are made every day, and the staffs try to make it in different ways. I left some sweet food on the table and ants smell their ways into my room, that is why I minus one point, but it’s not the hotel to blame. -Facilities Due to strong wind which blew sea water and sand into the swimming pool, we didn’t get to use it during our trip because they need to clean it. There is a gym in a separate small building, the facilities seemed to be new to me. If you go downstairs near the swimming pool, you can find a nice sea water area to enjoy. -Food The main restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. I think breakfast is included for everyone (Guavas are very nice). My package wasn’t all inclusive, so I paid 15 CUC per person for the dinner buffet. The delicacy of food varies, but they try to bring something different every day. The lobby bar is very nice and enjoyable , they invite musicians to come every night. Pizzeria is at a average level, it costs about 5–8 CUC for a not so delicious pizza. Don’t expect too much on the food, however I think they are trying to give us the best they can make so I’m ok with it. -Service Reception staffs speak very good English, you can ask travel information from them. Exchanging CUC is available on reception. You can spend 1 CUC for 1 hour access to the internet from reception, but WIFI is only available in the lobby area. Internet speed is average. All the staffs I met provided good service with professional attitude. -Travel The hop on hop off bus stop is right outside, a 10 CUC ticket per person is valid 9am — 18pm in a day. If you like to take a taxi, I would suggest to walk a block away the hotel and bargain the price down to 8-10 CUC to the city center or Old Havana. If you don’t like to walk, there are always taxis waiting outside the hotel, but those take a higher price (15-20 CUC to downtown Havana, depends on your bargain skills). -Location It’s a quiet area 10 km away from the Havana city center. Restaurant and convenience store are closed to the hotel. No beach, but has great sunset ocean view.

Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful ocean view, walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and local shops. Great pizzeria right in the hotel. Not ideal for low vision or mobility-impaired guests due to lots of steps and things. Great value for a relaxing stay in Havana.

An excellent hotel for tourist. The staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms are basic but extremely neat and clean. I stayed here for almost a month on a business trip and enjoyed every bit of it. The kitchen staff know there way around and breakfast and dinner being complimentary is plus here. There is also a pizzeria here serving tasty pizzas and pastas. Overall a great place to wind down with the hotel having an excellent deck overlooking the carribean.( P.S with the hotel being very close to sea, the carribean is both majestic and scary on a full moon). The only downside is the hotel is very old and badly needs some repairs especially in the lobby.

Arrived at midnight and found the reception staff helpful and gave us a nice room with views over the sea. Found the hotel to be like most in Cuba need of upgrading but the rooms were kept clean and tidy Meals as you would expect in Cuba and the staff very friendly and helpful Negative would be the smoking in the hotel and having locals use the pool to the point nowhere for guests poolside

horrible experience, the must unpleasant services i had ever encounter. i lost several things from my room, lobby, pool area. pretty much anywhere that you leave something unattended. extremally noisy, they play loud music everyday during the pools hours.

It's a classic and a great place for a beer at the sea pool. I have never stayed but had the buffet breakfast, if it comes free with the room you might as well eat it. Staff seem pretty good.

When we booked this hotel, we tought it would have a nice historic feel to it. In the lobby it looked like ikea and the rooms were terrible. Out on the back they had rusty barriers by the ocean. Overpriced! Shady cab drivers waiting outside to take you to a strange far away restaurant. We will never go back to this hotel. There are much nicer options around or even a casa particular will be better.
