Generous portions, friendly staff and delicious food! Food came out very fast. The satay chicken skewers is a must try, it has the best peanut sauce I've ever had!

This vegan cafe is superb! So many exceptional dishes that it's always soo hard choosing! Especially when you know that the Laksa just a huge portion of mouth watering goodness.

Have been this restaurant several times. They all look very "meaty" and don't look like vegetarian dishes until you have a bite. This time I ordered a sweet & sour fish bento box, never let me down! Just be aware they close on Sunday and Monday and evening at 8pm, a bit early when comparing to other restaurants in Southport

Very nice and cozy restaurant. I visited it with friends for the first time and we liked everything there, the taste of the dishes, the amount of portions and the price! Ordered mushroom soup, cheese&veg roll, salt&pepper mushrooms and Veg 3 combo box. Friendly and fast service. Would definitely recommend to visit.

Great veggie and vegan food! Super tasty, doesn’t feel like it’s not meat! Hidden gem 🥰 could improve on the customer service and drinks though. We had rice noodles, “calamari” skewers and dumplings!

Always an excellent time at KuanYin! The team are so lovely and kind, always making you feel welcome and happy! It feels impossible to go without ordering the vegan salt and pepper fish, and the sweet and sour pork! Also tried the chilli wontons which were great, but a touch weak on the flavour! Everything is bought out in a timely manner and presented well. Looking forward to our next visit :)

It was fun experience for vegetarians foods. Their veggie meat are all excellent. We look carefully calamari and chicken veggie fried. But really so similar like real calamari and chicken! When we bite and see it, really can not tell . So good . Drink also nice too. But little bit every meal are too salty and I prefer more right taste . I don’t know soy meat are always cooked heavy taste for making similar as real meat by spice? But taste little too salty . I oder lunch box style meal it was very nice. Fish looks like made by soy bean and sea weeds . Their vegetables meat are really excellent. Not like a supermarket or other café serving potato base one. I want to try different meal next time.

Really enjoyed my meal here. Had the tom yum soup and Thai papaya salad, both were very flavourful, and the staff were very friendly. Used to be a Taiwanese tea house, now with more variety and Thai flavours. Would come back again and recommend this place!

Absolutely delicious vegan food! We ordered Honey Chicken, Chicken Rice Noodles, Sweet n Sour Pork, Mushrooms and Pork fried rice. The mushrooms needed some sort of sauce, we tried sweet chilli but it just didn't cut it. Maybe more of a smokey bbq sauce would've been more suitable but they were yum on their own regardless. We will be back for sure

Parking: plenty of street parking during weekday lunch time. Accessibility: Ramp was over the stairs however there is a slight bump where the sliding doors have to close over. People in wheelchairs or using walking aids may need additional help over it. Restaurant itself is quite spacious. Atmosphere was very calming. Soothing music and very clean. Service was fantastic. Hostess recommended dishes when asked and took our order accurately. Food: we ordered deep fried mushrooms, crispy chicken 3 ways, char kway teow noodles with duck and plain white rice. Total was $53 including two takeaway boxes (50c each) Mushrooms were a nice entree when paired with the chilli sauce and soy sauce. The chicken was very tasty and filling. The duck had a nice texture, very silky and tender. The noodles were delicious. The two of us ate until full and still had some leftover to takeaway for one more meal. Enjoyed it immensely. Would return.

I think the owner changed as it looks quite different from what it shows on Google and the menu are different, hence i was a little disappointed due to the wrong expectation. It was not bad in taste or flavor, but it wasn’t the same Taiwanese style veg food that shows on menu on Google and FB. We should order Thai food instead of these Taiwanese food. The latest version of menu are attached, FYR. Ps we ordered wonton chili, radish cake, teriyaki chicken, BBQ pork fried rice, mushroom soup, black mountain tea, total was $84.53 due to the public holiday surcharge of $11.03.

As a vegetarian chinese, i am immensely disappointed with the food for the following reasons: 1. All food contains chicken (not specified in the menu) 2. Soup is too thick (highly infused with starch flour) 3. Mapo tofu is cooked with frozen vege? 4. All food is tasteless and taste the same. 5. Food doesn't taste like Chinese food at all.

Hard to believe the food was vegan, super tasty 🤤 we really enjoyed our dinner and the super friendly service. We’ll definitely come back!

Wow!! Kuan Yin Vegetarian Vegan Restaurant has done it AGAIN!! Absolutely amazing food and customer service. I know I say it all the time but it's true. Every dish is just so good. May have over ordered a bit, had to take some home haha.. but it's total heaven! You must try this next time you're in Southport or make a special trip I promise you won't be disappointed... And.... From the mouth of a meat eater- he was asked by total strangers which ones your favourite.. he couldn't answer. Whatever we ordered is all my favourite. And next time we go we'll have more favourites. As we left he turned to me and said I forgot something and I said what.. He says I forgot to lick the plates 😂 Kuan Yin 110/ 10.😊🙏 looking forward to my next trip back!!

This was so worth the short tram ride in from surfers Paradise on my visit. I have been craving a solid wonton soup for years and the bbq pork was perfecto! do not miss this place, a vegans paradise!

We had a great experience at Kuan Yin Tea House. They make amazing vegan food and the staff are always so lovely. I ordered two more plates than I would normally. So it would be a bit cheaper per person than what I spent. Amazing food and I can't wait to go back. ☺️

Tom yum soup was the best I've had outside of Thailand! It was quite spicy though. Pineapple fried rice, not so, the rice texture wasn't good, flavor wasn't great either. Papaya salad som tum was fairly good as well, & a bit spicy too. Would be back!

This is why we keep coming back, and even though we like to try different things in the menu, we have several must have favourites we often order. The food is delicious and we love dining here. We happily travel from Brisbane to dine here.

The best vegan and vegetarian restaurant on the Gold Coast is right here people. Once again, funky Southport houses the best we have! The food is fantastic. Please if you know a better one, let me now and I will try their food and review. Here, the service is swift and kind, the restaurant and kitchen is extremely clean, the food is affordable, very tasty, and super ethical! What else do you want? Try the chicken and pork varieties and just fall in love!

Super yummy food that looks amazing. We go here often, ordering loads of food so we have leftovers to take home. You can't go wrong with the menu, everything is REALLY good. Very friendly staff. Food comes out quick. Best bubble teas we've ever had!

The honey ch'ken was lovely - very tasty. But the pork rice was a mushy overcook pile of food - no texture and just tasted like spicy, greasy tinned peas and corn with rice. I had 4 bites and couldn't eat anymore. When I informed the staff that it wasn't satisfactory all they said was to try something else next time and still charged me full price, despite it not being eaten nor enjoyed. Really disappointing to see customer satisfaction isn't a priority considering their decent reviews.

Beautiful food made by beautiful people, have to try this restaurant, have been coming here since 2019 and doesn't disappoint each time. This time my favourite was the Thai calamari fried rice and Taiwanese fried chicken! Keep it up guys !
