To cut to the chase, Itamar is absolutely amazing! If you want to make the most of your trip to Israel and have and extremely memorable experiences, with a guide who has an astounding amount of knowledge you can’t go wrong with choosing Itamar. Itamar’s knowledge of history and religions is bewildering. I found Itamar by emailing all the guides that I could find with positive online reviews. The initial responses I got from Itamar immediately set him apart and lead me to choose him. Itamar really listened to what I was looking for in the trip, he did not try to push a cookie cutter itinerary, he was extremely responsive to questions, and helped me put together an itinerary that worked for my family, and helped me personalize the trip and maximize our time. For myself I was returning to Israel for the first time in 35 years with my family. I really wanted to get the most out of our trip and did not want to have to deal with the hassle or inefficiencies of a large tour group / tour bus. All I can say in retrospect, is that I feel very fortunate that Itamar had availability during the dates of our visit. Itamar seemed to have limitless knowledge of historical and biblical history and is well versed and able to answer all questions regarding Judaism, Christianity or Islam. We really appreciated his almost encyclopedic degree of knowledge, and his breadth of understanding the complexities of the politics in the region. I found that he helped me clarify and correct some misunderstandings which I have held for years, as well as piece together things that I had never understood were related. I left the trip with a much greater appreciation and understanding . Above all, Itamar treated us and made us feel like family. During the trip I had a dental emergency, and Itamar not only found a dentist immediately, but stayed with me for hours delaying personal plans he had made. Itamar was willing to work around our every requests and is extremely generous with his time. I was really pleased at how Itamar made every effort to actively engage our teenagers, and make a trip meaningful for all our family members. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Itamar. I would hire him again. We left feeling like Itamar was not only our guide, but a friend and part of the family.

Itamar gave us a wonderful Jerusalem tour this week. He is super knowledgeable, providing all the historical and biblical references and stories. It was a fascinating experience for us. It was our first time in Jerusalem and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He took us through the historical sites with fascinating insights and let us experience local cultures at the same time. In addition to the unforgettable holy land landmarks and history, the local Palestinian lunch that Itamar brought us to in the old city remains the best food for our week in Israel so far. Itamar was a fabulous tour guide, very highly recommend him. We did two days in Jerusalem and two days in the surrounding area. He is extremely knowledgeable and does a particularly great job with putting all the locations and history into context so you understand why things are important and special. In addition we were travelling with 6 kids ages 5-12 and he did a phenomenal job keeping them interested and involved, even bringing costumes and props and having the kids act out different events and activities.

We had the best time touring with Itamar! He is such a knowledgeable guide and made our tours so fun. He is well-connected in the city which meant he knew of great excursions that were not known to many and which we got to experience - that was very special. As Christians, we were looking for an Israeli guide who was local but who knew the Bible - Itamar knew more than we did about both the Old & New Testaments. He was able to compare and contrast Judaism with Christianity in a way that made our learning experience so enhanced. We hope to return and tour with Itamar again soon! What can I say about Itamar Ben David? A lot! I met him online during the Covid epidemic when he was doing virtual tours. I signed up because I wasn’t able to travel and I missed Israel. I have been to Israel about 20 times, but on every tour with Itamar, I always learned something new - and I was hooked! Fast forward to October 2022…two close friends of mine told me they were planning a trip to Israel for their milestone birthdays and asked me for what to do and what to see…it was at that point that I decided to “gift them a day with Itamar”! I called him to discuss the details and he had great ideas, as I had no doubt he would. I knew that he would be perfect because of his deep knowledge of his country and his easy going personality. I was confident that my friends would be introduced to Jerusalem in a way that nobody else could do it. Itamar even sent me a short personalized teaser video to share with them when I told them about their birthday present. My friends say that spending that special day in early December 2022 with Itamar in Jerusalem was the highlight of their trip. He was prepared for all their questions and so very personable. He even took them to special places for lunch and snacks! You cannot go wrong with Itamar Ben David - I promise you that.

Best tour I ever had in Israel! I've done multiple tours in Jerusalem and Itamar is an amazing guide. His crazy knowledge about the city and history is mind blowing, and he conveys it in an informative and entertaining way. So my colleagues from Austin Texas came to Israel for a business trip and the schedule was very tight. Itamar was recommended to us by a common friend and he was very flexible and creative with the itinerary. We had a one night tour at old Jaffa and one afternoon tour at the old city of Jerusalem. Even though we didn't have much time it was a rich and insightful tour and he got people that opened up the most beautiful observation points at the old city. Itamar is a fabulous guide. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he’s also super fun to spend the day with. We soaked in so much history in 5 hours but it never felt overwhelming. I would highly recommend touring with him.

We found Itamar when we were hosting some Greek musicians for a big music project and we had a few days off between session. He took us around the Jerusalem mountains Had Nes, it was great. Itamar is a very warm, open, level-headed and funny guy who really knows and loves this land, its history and its different people. His knowledge comes not only from books but also from spending much time outdoors in nature and from his natural way of connecting and conversing with basically any type of person.

Itamar is a GREAT guide! We had him live in Jerusalem and not only did we see everything we wanted, we also recieved a rich background historically, personal attention and just felt that we understood and appreciated this part of the planet much more than when we arrived! He even sang for us!

When it comes to history, nature and most kept secrets of this land full of milk and honey, Itamar is a fountain of knowledge. Itamar has guided my old band from London, UK and myself. He took us through the beautiful Jerusalem, The Dead Sea, Ein Gedi and Masada. I have left Israel many years ago, only to rediscover it through the guidance of Itamar. He revealed many hidden gems in the ancient old town of Jerusalem. Introduced rare & delicious foods to our bellies and indulged our minds with the tales of the different dwellers of this land. Carried us away through the most enchanted paths I have witnessed, accompanied with incredible story-telling. Highly recommended for a unique and genuine experience. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. (Itamar also knows the best hummus places)

Itamar gave us a wonderful tour of the old city of Jerusalem. I truly enjoyed the tour, which is a rarity for me as I find tours generally boring and contrived. Itamar has a great sense of humour, he brings a lot of life to these ancient religious traditions and stories. His knowledge is impressive and I would recommend having a tour of the old city with him as I really learnt a lot.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. I can’t imagine how many hours of study it has taken Itamar to learn all that he has about the melting pot that is Jerusalem! I took a private tour with him and was privileged to have done so- he’s an amazing guide, so full of knowledge, clearly knows everyone key at the main sights and in addition to all this, is a very lovely and caring person. This is my second tour with Itamar (the first was around 2018), he is the most amazing tour guide, he designed the tour in a different way this time so as to visit places we did not have time to visit in the first time and with all his amazing knowledge & humor he made the tour an unforgettable experience once more. I love his humor and his all-inclusive approach to the different cultures & traditions. In the end he proposed us the best (Syrian I think) restaurant, it was the best way to close our amazing day. If you are coming to Isreal, you need a tour guide, and Itamar is your man! I have traveled all over the world and had tour guides in many places, but Itamar was one of the best.
