First time trying this place out and very satisfied indeed. The food was very good, the service was super quick, the process were very reasonable, the portions were definitely satisfying and the folks were friendly and accommodating. I will be back for sure.

5 stars, more like ten stars. Awesome, awesome barbecue. This place is one stop you are going to want to make. Don't be fooled by your navigation; you're not lost, it's just off the beaten path. You had better not be much past eleven o'clock open time to get some turkey breast. Brisket is amazing, sausage is amazing, ribs are amazing, sauce is amazing, not too sweet or hot but perfect!

OH BOY! I really got lucky when I was looking to waste time and a local tipped me off to this place saying "better hurry before they run out of meat" You pull up to a little, yellow house and once inside, you can feel that local, family vibe. The people running the place chat with their regulars in a way that just feels right. There's vintage signs all over the walls. Super fun to look at while you smack down on their AMAZING juicy, tender smokey ribs. Don't forget the beans! Limited seating and very cozy. I can see myself returning with friends. The sweet tea tastes of local water which is also really nice. Be sure to get some of those sides! Their sweet pickles and cold macaroni is very very good. So are the cucumbers and potato salad. Great palate refresh between bites of that smokey delicious barbeque. Please keep this treasure alive always. The locals are so lucky to have a place like that and any visitor who come will be too!

Ann was outstanding ! My first time to go there. The alert was on my phone about this place. I have been going to Hutchinson to get my car serviced for years. I live in Wichita. The ribs and brisket were sooo good. Plenty of leftovers for sure. Thank you Ann and family.

I have been eating at Roy's for 20+ years. I travel all over Kansas for work and Roy's is a fantastic place for BBQ and I would argue maybe the best BBQ in Kansas. I judge most BBQ places for their brisket and my go to at Roy's is the brisket and hot link sandwich; however, they have great shredded pork and turkey as well. Their homemade BBQ sauce is delicious and the staff (Ann especially) are friendly and helpful. Depending on the day there could be a line out the door and when the food runs out, it runs out, so get there early to ensure you get the meal you want.

My husband is from Hutchinson, and he wanted to have some barbecue from his youth. This is the first time that I tried, and I love it. We are coming form north of Houston Texas, and let me tell you. I didn't have this cuality in Texas. Keep the good work. Thank you.

The people working here are super nice .the atmosphere is cool,it's a little smokey inside,but it's a BBQ restaurant it's supposed to be..lol..and the BBQ was also very good..I had the 4 meat platter,brisket(chopped,not sliced),pulled pork ,turkey,and hot link. Also had one rib...I really enjoyed it..I like Alot of smoke and all the meats were smokey..the sauce is amazing also. Highly recommend this place..was a great BBQ experience

Great old fashioned barbecue! Very well made and tasty! Only issue I have is the place is a Little Smokie. Otherwise service was excellent never had such fast service!

My sister and I love to travel and when we do, we look for local places with food that reflects the state. KS is known for bbq so I looked up bbq places and found this one. It did not disappoint! Small, country, family owned and absolutely delicious food! Between my sister and I, we tried 4 of the meats - pulled pork, ribs, turkey and beef brisket. I don't think I could have picked a favorite. The beans, potato salad, macaroni salad and slaw were all excellent as well and I'm picky about all of those. Couldn't have asked for a better representation of local and state foods!

Roy’s has been a staple in my diet for the majority of my life. The food is absolutely fantastic, and it’s consistent. There are no bad days, you can expect the same food and service every time you go. Anne and Ryan have always treated my family incredibly well, even providing food after my Grandpa’s death. It’s definitely not the cheapest meal in town, but when you figure in the quality, and the fact that families are being treated so generously by this business in their times of grief, I have absolutely no qualms about the price. The little yellow shack on Nickerson boulevard is truly one of a kind, and always worth the stop!

If i could give a seprate review for service I would give 5 stars. Despite being so busy with a line out the door at opening everyone was nice, welcoming and making sure everyone was taken care of. However food wise would not recommend the brisket to people who frequent kansas city style/high end bbq joints. Brisket was chopped and under seasoned. Despite being mostly covered in sauce, it was still quite dry. Ribs, hotlinks, and sides were however pretty good overall 6.5/10 for me.

Roy's is a dive, a dive with fantastic BBQ. If you're ever in Hutchinson make sure to come by and come early.

Awesome, limited hours because people go for lunch only. Stood in line, socialized with strangers, enjoyed the history displayed on the walls, ordered and sat at a big round table with strangers. There are additional tables in the back but I chose to minimize my footprint because I was alone.

Roy's has the best BBQ. Love their brisket. If you have been to Roy's, you know that smell🤤

Smoker exhausts into restaurant, totally gave us a headache for the rest of the afternoon. Smoked meat was overdone and slathered in sauce we did not like. Salad bar was simply the listed sides, NO SALAD.

I have lived elsewhere for 3 decades but when I came back to the region to visit family, I had to come back to my hometown just to feed my youthful memories of this BBQ, and I was not disappointed. It was every bit as good as I remembered.

I absolutely love this place! Best BBQ I’ve ever had and the staff is so friendly and awesome!!! I’ve been coming here since I was younger and it’s amazing each time I go!! The fact they sell their own sauce in bottles is an added bonus!!!

Got taken here a while back and it was fantastic. Nice people, amazing food. I got the 3 meat plate and nothing was bad. Only gripe would be it was quite a wait to get to the counter but with a building that size and how popular it is, it's expected. Don't be in a hurry.

Been to Roy's numerous times and have never been disappointed. All of the meats are fantastic. The bread that comes on the sandwich adds an extra onus of flavor. The staff is always so kind even though they get packed full of customers quickly. #bestBBQ
