Local food is now served in a proper eatery. I used to buy from a take out store a couple shops away. The service is kind and polite. Food is all at a very reasonable price. Tried a few signature dishes for Shanghainese. Like the xiao long bao most. But surprisingly, I love their soy milk the most. Not so sweet and rich in taste.

It’s great to see a set meal in a place like this. A small bowl of noodles and 3 dumplings to accompany. I ordered a side of three pan-fried bao’s and it made a perfect lunch amount. Very reasonably priced. I’d say that overall the food was good but not great. The 生剪包/ Shengjien Bao and 生箭鍋貼/ Dumplings were a little heavy and tough to chew. I like the pan-fried bottom to have a crispy texture but the rest of the bun too soft, light and breaks apart into the flavourful inside. The No.5/ 麻辣撈麵餐/spicy dry mixed noodles were very close to perfect. Maybe a little less oil and a little more spice and they’d be on the money. Overall, excellent lunch spot.

Classic Hong Kong street food, you can eat it on the stools provided on the roadside. Service was good and speedy. The potstickers were fresh and crispy but could have been more juicier. Also the ordered the pan fried buns too and they were fresh out of the wok.

A small shop but quite popular as there is always a queue waiting for the sheng jian bao & potstickers! Very juicy for the bao, love it!!! Reasonable price and it’s so fresh! You can also dine in and sit outside.

I had the meal set with wonton noodles, 3 potstickers, and a beverage. Good price for $48. And I wasn't thirsty after the meal, meaning no MSG! ( or very little is added) but one down side, the coffee comes with it is instant. 🤨 well, for that price, I'm not complaining. It's just FYI. Oh, and they take cash only.

Dear readers, I am going to paint you a picture. Imagine a typically cold, windy night. You walk through the alleys seeking comfort to your “dad's stomach.” Suddenly, you find this fine establishment on the street with plastic chairs before it. You don’t speak Cantonese, but the guys selling the food speak English and help you choose. You sit down alone, and the warm smell of the snacks makes you happy. That was my experience, and I trust you can have one too!

Very local joint serving traditional Shanghainese delicacies like pan fried buns and dumplings. Very flavourful but unfortunately lacking in juiciness, perhaps it was due to the timing of my visit. There's a sign outside the shop saying that they start selling pan fried buns at 12:30pm - perhaps it would be better quality if I visited at that time. Seating was informal but added to the vibe. Seems to be cash only.
