I thought I was eating proper musubi until I came here. The variety in their menu is astounding. If you love musubi, want to try something new OR want to try it for the first time, this place is it. We got the Spam, Egg & Cucumber // Spam, Cucumber and Plum Sauce // Shrimp Tempura, Avocado and Spam // Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll. All were fantastic. Prices are very reasonable as well. There are menus on the windows to the left if you need time to decide. The location is very convenient. We got our order, picked up drinks and more snacks from the ABC store down the street and had a picnic at the beach. Staff here are also very friendly and quick. We had some questions and they were helpful.

Best affordable Japanese food. Tasty. food are under $10. rice bowl starts from $6 up to $10. They also have musubi pack (combo) for $4.5. Portion is medium-small but just right to fill your hunger for cheap. Long line up. opens 7am-8pm.

I thought this place was a cool little spot. They have a pretty big variety of foods too. We ended up getting a shrimp tempura misubi and thought that was pretty good. I’m not sure if it’s the cafe that I’m rating here as 4 star or if I’m bringing my personal bias against misubi. I thought it was good… nothing mind blowing or exceptionally special. Not great, not bad. I probably wouldn’t recommend as a must stop, but I’d say if you’re nearby and need a hold over until dinner, you won’t be upset with it.

I needed a hotel room for a night so booked the cheapest room I could find and it ended up being the Royal Grove (I'm going to write a review for this place because it was a blast). I had just read an article that listed must-go food places on Oahu and Musubi Cafe was one of them - right across the street from Royal Grove. Better yet, I had a room with a balcony so could basically look across at Musubi Cafe. I like the feel of the store - it's bright, had lots of odds and ends everywhere, handwritten signs, a sitting area, an ATM - a literal hodgepodge but it all works together and is charming. I went in the evening and there was a super nice lady working there - I felt loved ❤️, haha. I was actually full so only got the poke and rice and one Musubi. I asked her what she liked and she pointed me to the egg, avocado, Spam one - so that's when I went with. Back to the room, time to eat. I ended up eating both things right away as I gazed across the street at Musubi Cafe. Both items were great - the poke was very fresh - and prices are reasonable. For my two items and a Monster, it came to $19. I think it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or on your way to the beach!

This Monarch location is small so I'd like to visit the others (a table or two for dine-in; this restaurant is usually for takeout). Line is long due to staff making each musubi by hand to order, so your number will get called as you wait. Lots of cool knick knacks to look at while food is being made. Loved the food and how affordable it is for the amount of food you get. They have fried chicken in containers at the register, which you need to heat up in the microwave or air fryer for the best experience. The spam, egg, avocado was creamy and savory. The spam, egg and eel was sweet and savory. The double tuna was my favorite. I could eat so many of these, of any of them! Because of this place, I've wanted to make my own at home. Will visit the restaurant again!

I have becoming aware of this Cafe when I was passing by The Neighborhood. Knowing that they sell onigiri and other small snacks, I have decided to come here buying some to pack away for either lunch or breakfast. They are so nicely packed and it would be easy to transport with them and eat on the way. I would recommend coming earlier since it may get busy afterwards and you need to line up to place your order then wait for a small while until you can collect your food

Lets start with the taste, everything taste pretty good.We tried several rice balls, rice bowl and Spam. They all tasted great. On top of the taste comes the prices. Average cost is $10 per person however to compare it to everything else in Hawaii this is pretty cheap for a good meal. Average dine in restaurant is 35-50 per person and the taste could be very tricky. Therefore, I would definitely stick to $10 meal with guaranteed good taste. Finally, they are very close to the beach and they open 7am to 8pm.

I think I was given pre-made ones. I got mine instantly after I paid while others had to wait. Mine were barely warm. The place is stuffy and hot since the ac is only near the cashier/kitchen. The seating ( very small) is all the way in the back. Not worth the hype and will not go back even though it is cheap.

This shop has been a staple of mine every time I visit Oahu. They make the most incredible and delicious musubi that are a great snack or a meal even. Inside, the shop currently has no seating so you can walk in to order or shop from their spam themed souvenirs. The lady at the counter is very sweet and takes your order then everything is made fresh for you so be patient. Each musubi comes out steaming hot and is a huge portion so it’s worth the price. I tried the spam egg avocado and the unagi one. Both were amazing, but you can’t go wrong with any of the choices. Hope this place continues to stay open!

Not a lot of room to dine in but the best cafe to stop by for some super-sized musubi! These things were huge and there were a ton of selection! I would personally prefer less rice but overall, a must try!

We just needed a quick snack while walking around Waikiki. This was the perfect place. The food was good and the service was fast. I'll be back here again.

This place was the best food I had during my visit to Honolulu. Waited 30 mins for the food but it was well worth it. Buy more than you think because it’s so good you will appreciate over buying. We ate the classic spam and egg musubi, unagi, avocado egg bacon and tuna and salmon rice balls. All very good.

Spam musubi lover heaven. Not only do they offer a battery variety of musubi but also offer a wide selection of merchandise highlighting none other than spam musubi. The musubi was delicious. Don't expect a place to sit and enjoy. There is no where to sit other than outside on a garden ledge. Came during a night time rush hour and it was very crowded inside. This is more like a quick takeout.

I enjoyed their spam and kimchi musubi, not much of a fan of their eel and avocado musubi. You can order your food online so you can skip the line. I was shopping while waiting for my food. I recommend walking to this store.

Best musubi place on Oahu I've had. They have a great variety of musubi's and other foods. Great prices, friendly service and everything is so fresh. They also have great souvenirs to buy. I will definitely be back.
