😐 So I have mixed feelings with this place, the appetizers were really good but some were a little pricey for the portion size. The wife spilled her drink and they replaced it no problem. I ordered the rigatoni and while the flavor was ok the sauce was odd. Never have I had a Bolognese sauce with mush... People often mention good, sauce, menu, time,

Sadly, I think I enjoyed our appetizers more than my entree and dessert. Our bill was about $300 not including gratuity for mediocre food. I just dont understand how my sisters uni pasta tasted so salty but my mother's crab cake was completely under seasoned and swimming in a fancy sounding sauce but it turns out to be tartar sauce. 😕 check out our photos of dinner.

So I have mixed feelings with this place, the appetizers were really good but some were a little pricey for the portion size. The wife spilled her drink and they replaced it no problem. I ordered the rigatoni and while the flavor was ok the sauce was odd. Never have I had a Bolognese sauce with mushrooms in it and on top of it they were never mentioned on the menu. Everyone else really enjoyed there food and it wasn't terrible. Really I just felt the portions weren't on par with the prices. I realize it's the time we live in but they could've stepped it up a little. Would we go back most likely yes but maybe for a drink and appetizers rather than dinner.

I'm glad I gave this place a try. The service was decent, but the food was great! I was disappointed that they didn't have uni for the bone marrow; they substituted a saffron butter, which worked really well with it. The lamb was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend it. I thought the sauce could have been more intensely flavored with more spices, but it was still delicious. The custard of the crème brûlée was so good, but I thought the cherry compote on top subtracted instead of added to the dish. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, and will definitely be back.

Ate at the bar and it was terrific, good cocktails, excellent food, and fun service people! Bartender is inventive! Been a while since I’ve been excited with Honolulu dining and Vein has a lot to be excited about!

Every dish was exceptional! Despite being fine dining each dish had nice healthy portions. The environment was cozy and laid back and the staff friendly. We came out full and happy in the tummy.

Nice atmosphere, nice staff. Mediocre food. Vein is a nicely laid out restaurant but fails to deliver on taste and quality. The food is very expensive and bland, I would avoid this place if you looking for a quality meal.

Mediterranean-Hawaiian-Asian fusion with a name that does not seem to reflect the cuisine- identity confusion?-maybe but the food is cohesive and delectable.Service is spot-on-super attentive but not fawning. ❤️ PORCINI AND SHITAKE RUB RIB EYE with SALSA VERDE ,Bone marrow with uni butter -stand outs

Great service - very accommodating and friendly. After Fish Honolulu didn’t honor our reservation, we were stuck with a party of 12 on a Saturday evening. Vein’s staff was friendly and immediately checked if they could fit us in. Thankfully they were able to accommodate our group, which included 4 children. They don’t have a children’s menu, but their chef specially made a pomodoro pasta for them since they didn’t want an alfredo sauce. The arancini and salmon appetizers were delicious. I had the risotto funghi and my husband had the mahi special. Both were delicious. The pork chop was also a favorite in our group, even among the children.

Nice restaurant, very interesting menu. But salad with watercress didn't have watercress, octopus was burnt. Food can taste better.

Vein is an incredible dining location! The food is delightfully flavored, the selection is unique, and the cocktails are excellent! Try their unique twist on an old-fashioned Mai Tai! Words can’t even begin to describe how flavorful and well presented everything is here. The ambiance and decor is refined too! Come here if you want your taste buds to party!! #Clam #Lamb #PorkChop

The dishes at Vein are well thought out, and executed in amazing fashion. The food is locally/farm-sourced, and you can taste the quality ingredients shining through. The staff is well-educated on the menu, and offer some great recommendations if you're stuck choosing between some delectable choices. Book a reservation, and take advantage of the outdoor seating on a nice breezy day!

Food is good as always. Reservation system may need to be improved. Arranging table to sit is a big challenge. They should honor first come first serve rule. The server is kind of pushing to order all dishes at the same time. Ended up, Appetizers comes with all main dishes. Full table of dishes. Maybe they want customers to finish eating fast and go asap!! During the pandemic time, the service was much better 🤔

We went for lunch so the menu was pretty limited. The entrees were good and at a good price, the salad was pretty meh though. I liked the focaccia, it was kinda plain on its own but went well with the pastas. I will probably give it another try at dinner time to see what the full menu looks like.
