Wow impressive experience with this place, I am a coffee lover and the coffee here satisfied my taste. Finally decided to stop by and try this coffee ! So glad I did because it was delicious, the place inside has good amount of seating and I love the theme, it's so cool and unique. I got the caramel truffle, very tasty and not too much ice in the cup. Employees are all working and smiling, wait less than 2 mins for the order. Highly recommended.

I should note that I generally do not order sweet drinks at coffee shops. A cappuccino option is my go-to drink at many coffee shops and it wasn't clear to me that they had it until I re-looked at the menu at home (it's listed as Latte/Capp). The pricing option was on the higher end for the favorites ($5.50-$6.00), and standard for drip coffee ($3.05). Attended on their opening day on February 10, 2023 when drinks were complimentary, with a group. The drive-through line was 10+ cars deep so I went inside, and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered two smoothies and it took about 5 minutes despite the long drive-thru line. Someone who ordered a basic coffee got their drink within 3 minutes (and they arrived after me). I got to sample the following drinks: Nitro Cold Brew: 3.5/5. Smooth, but lacking any intense flavors and with a little too much ice that disrupts the drink and waters it down. Americano: 2.5/5. Watered down a little too much. Similar to the nitro cold brew, it was lacking any flavor notes. Strawberry Smoothie: 3/5. Inconsistent texture as layers will separate quickly. The thicker part is the consistency of a shake somehow, but the watery parts separate quickly. See video. The strawberry tastes far too sweet and sweetness is not customizable. Peach smoothie: 3/5. Basically the same comments as the strawberry smoothie. During their opening, the only smoothie flavors available were strawberry and peach. I was told that mango, green apple, and wildberry would be available starting the next day. Overall, I can see this being a nice hangout spot for a lot of Stratford students and a better coffee stop than Starbucks for people that enjoy sweeter drinks. Plus for fast service, minus for a slightly confusing menu and for the watered down taste of the coffee.

This black rock coffee just opened up near where I live and their customer service is so good- they are all super sweet! Fast & worth the money. So many options and they even have energy drinks! Starbucks who? Haha I recommend their drip coffee! Came here for opening day and it was packed! The inside atmosphere is super chill and cozy- will definitely come up here to work

I am crazy about this coffee spot, I just love how clean and crisp the inside of their shops are. The music had me and my kids groovin', it makes you want to bust-a-move dancing indoors, but we wanted a little wind in our hair and sun on our face the day we stopped in, so we sat in their outside seating areas. They have a long drive-thru and ample parking. I had a chiller blended coffee drink this visit and they are so smooth and yummy! I've taken home a bag of their Hazelnut decaf coffee beans to brew at home and it was full body and delightfully smooth! They have so many variety of beverages from coffee to smoothies and so many exoctic syrup flavors like Guava, pomegranate and my fav Lavender, just to name a few. Milk alternatives are available.

Just visited for the first time! Ordered a medium vanilla latte with soy milk and a medium drip coffee with hazelnut and a splash of half and half - total was a little under $12. The up charge for soy milk was $1.25. In comparison with Starbucks, Black Rock is more expensive. The taste of the soy vanilla latte was great, however the execution was poor. There was about an inch and a half of foam on my drink. By the time I had gotten home some of the foam had already settled - which is normal, however the amount of foam is not. I tried to accurately capture a photo, but it was a little difficult. The drip coffee was very burnt. I love a good dark roast, but this was not good at all. It tasted like drinking a cup of cigarette ashes with hazelnut and half and half added. I went through the drive through so I cannot speak on the atmosphere inside. With that being said, the staff I interacted with was super friendly!

Good coffee and space is usually pretty ample. Although they play some good tunes, it can be a little too loud if you're trying to work or have a conversation. Plenty of outlets with added USB connections around the tables and bar though, which is a bonus for anyone carrying devices. This particular location is across from a high school though so expect some heavy foot traffic when school lets out.

I had an Iced Mexican mocha with almond milk, and a black coffee. Milk choices include soy, almond, and oak. Unless you ask to change it all drinks are made with 2% milk. My drink tastes good but I need more cinnamon and more vanilla for my taste. Lots of electrical sockets for people wanting to work or study while they have coffee. Variety of guests including a business meeting, friends chatting, school age kids, or just people grabbing a coffee like me. For speed and efficiency they follow the chick fila method for the drive through. They rotate associates with a tablet to take your order and have you pay. My drinks were ready and waiting before I could even finish paying at the register inside. Black coffee small, bold is all they brew. It was ok but not as strong as I prefer it to be. I drink mine with no sugar no cream just black. So the taste of the coffee is key for me. They must use a blend because I couldn't discern a single origin or flavor profile. Pastry case was empty looking and not styled well at all. Lights inside the case were not turned on so it didn't really draw your attention or desire to purchase a pastry. The rice Krispy treats by the register looked of good size but again appeared to have just been thrown in a bowl/container. The free loyalty program was quick to enroll in just using your phone number. Dinning room and restroom were very clean Open Monday - Sunday 5am - 7pm

Love this cafe♥️ my favorite cafe to study and work! BUT one downside is they sometimes turn on the music a bit too loud🥹 but other than that a perfect place with perfect coffee and the best staff!

Great coffee shop if you're looking for great service, good pricing and coffee. While Black Rock's coffee may not be better than small local shops, they certainly BY FAR beat Starbucks. Their customer service is what keeps my loyalty to this chain. When my trusted local shop is closed or if I'm not in that area, I always look for the closest Black Rock!

Super friendly baristas and delicious coffee. Feels much cleaner than a certain chain coffee shop and plenty of space to work or socialize. Drinks come out quick; definitely my new favorite local coffee stop

Black Rock Coffee Bar's coffee is phenomenal. While priced slightly higher, you get what you pay for. The baked goods quality and taste here is amazing. Customer service is top notch as well. Will definitely be back.

3 stars for the taste. However, their service is deceitful. First time ordering coffee from this company, at this specific location, I asked the drive tru person to suggest me something to wake me up. He told me that all drinks have 2 shots of expresso. I then requested one more shot, and ordered them to be 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘥 to the 20oz iced caramel coffee drink. I asked for the ice to be on the side. Paid about $7.20 for it. I was handed the drink, which it was only 3/4 of the container given to me 🤔 I asked, “are you sure there are 20oz here?” To which the man at the window responded, yes ma’am. He then handed me the ice. I had a 22oz empty container, and decided to 𝘱𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵. My suspicions were correct. The drink itself was 𝘖𝘕𝘓𝘠 16 oz. When I added the ice, it barely made it to18oz 🤦🏼‍♀️ If a client 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘋𝘙𝘐𝘕𝘒 (𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰! 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵), then the amount paid for it should be given (I paid for a medium size, aka 20 oz). Why charging for ice? Not only that the drink barely made it to 18 oz with ice included. Next time I will definitely have them pour the coffee in my container. This was an awful way to twist a client into buying what they surely don’t pay for.

First time here and they had me signed, sealed and delivered. Seriously they just made me a regular. It’s been on my to visit list for a year and I finally did and I wasn’t disappointed. Katlin was beyond amazing. ❤️👌🏾

I love coffee shops but sometimes they can be more hype than substance. Black Rock is not hype it’s the real deal. Great coffee, amazing staff and the atmosphere is super dope!
