We came in for an early Valentine’s Day celebration. Our server, Mr. Hunter, did an amazing job and helped make our night a special one! There was a minor issue with valet parking, they couldn’t accommodate “our car” (had to park across, paid parking garage, top floor and walk back to Eddie AB’s). We never had that issue at the West Ave. Eddie V’s location and it was our first time visiting this location. That was a poor first impression… but Mr. Will, the manager, sprung into action and addressed all of our concerns. His attention to customer satisfaction won our hearts back!!! He personally added roses to our table upon my request. Hunter went above and beyond. He understood my husband’s sense of humor and went with the flow of things. He made great recommendations from start to finish. The calamari appetizer was delicious. My husband had the chef’s special for the night. And I had the scrumptious scallops, two jumbo shrimps, and a side of crab fried rice! Many thanks to Hunter, Will, and Eddie V’s for an exceptional early Valentine’s Day dining experience!!!

Superb dining experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night at Eddie V's. The restaurant is elegant with white table clothes. The bar area has a small corner stage for live music. The oval shaped seating area is large with a TV for viewing sports (go Astros!). In addition to the actual bar top area, there are several tables and booths available. We were well taken care of by Rudy and Omar. The happy hour prices are decent. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our complimentary bread and butter while looking over the menu. The bread was very fresh and piping hot. Rudy made several recommendations for our meal. We finally settled on the tempura shrimp, jumbo crab cake and a dozen oysters. The service, taste and presentation were impeccable. The tempura shrimp come 5 to an order. They arrive on a little skewer stand with lollipop sticks. They had a terrific light crunch and were the perfect bite size starter. The crab cake is a nice size with a delicious spicy chive remoulade. It is a perfect item to share. We finished with 6 of the Gulf Coast oysters and 6 of the parmesan and panko crumb oysters. Both were delicious and fresh. As we enjoyed another glass of wine, I noticed the cocktails they were making across the bar for another guest were quite fancy. I enquired about the drink, so Omar made one for me. It was a smoked Old Fashioned made with a large cube of ice, Basil Hayden’s Bourbon, chocolate bitters, an orange twist, a cherry and served on a smoked plank tableside. I was very impressed with the way it was made and how tasty it was too. We finished our meal with a delicious sharable dessert. In the middle was a cube of Bananas Foster butter cake flambéed tableside. On one side was butter pecan ice cream and on the other, a warm Belgian chocolate cake. Once again, the presentation was fantastic. We enjoyed our full stomachs and sipping our last bit of drinks while listening to the live music. They were wonderful! They played toe tapping tunes you can sing along to. You could hear them throughout the restaurant, even in the main dining area, though it wasn't too loud sitting in the bar. The evening was perfect and we will definitely be back. I recommend this restaurant if you want a full experience, not just a meal. Thanks for the wonderful night, EV's. You guys really out did yourselves! Side note: they have a nice covered patio area at the entrance, but that will have to wait until Houston cools down.

The food here is always delicious and consistent. I love the ambiance and the service is stellar! My colleague was quite impressed as this was her first visit to Eddie Vs! I often bring clients and colleagues here when I want to make a great impression and Eddie V’s delivers every time! The crab cakes and the bananas foster are my favorite! The food is always excellent - everything on the menu is delicious and the ambiance is lively and quaint!

The staff was professional and friendly. The gulf shrimp were good, though the crab on top was even better. Wife enjoyed her fillet. The truffle Mac and cheese was tasty. Bananas Foster for dessert which was pretty good also. Why only 4 stars? For me it's a matter of value. Quite expensive, and all my reviews include a value as one of the criteria.

My favorite steakhouse and seafood in TX. The crab cakes are spectacular, (used to serve 2 for the same price long ago, now is just one 😔, sadly many restaurants are reducing portions at the same price) nevertheless is still worth it to eat, is delicious. The steaks are absolutely delicious, the fish spectacular, and the ambiance is really good. The manager is super nice. I don’t add the 5 stars because the hostess was absolutely horrible and after more than 2 years not being able to see the faces of our waiter (hostess and waiter) the only ones in the entire restaurant still covered. Sorry, but it is annoying not being able to see the faces and you can’t tell if they are serving you well, but the voices and attitudes can still show. That’s extremely sad. When you go to a restaurant and you pay as much as you pay at Eddie V’s everything counts. The food and the chef kudos, the manager kudos, the musicians kudos, that really made the experience better.

October 2023; Came here for dinner with a work group. Appetizers were pretty good. Tried the oysters on the half shell, crab cakes and the calamari. For my own dinner, I had a Caesar salad and the Chilean sea bass. Everything was very tasty. Service was very attentive. Atmosphere is like a traditional steak house... Overall, had a nice dinner.

My favorite restaurant in Houston. It never disappoints! Came to celebrate a career change and they made it very special! Everything we ordered was perfect! Save room for dessert! A few of my favorites - Crab Cake, Lobster Tacos, Truffled Mac N Cheese, Au Gratin Cheddar Potatoes, and the best bananas foster butter cake!

The food was superb as always. Service: Our waiter was great, on top of everything and didn’t forget anything. Food: From the bread to the margarita everything was very tasty. My husband ordered steak and lobster (pictured) and I actually ordered a lobster bisque cup however the chef served a bowl ( pictured), can’t complain. I ordered the turkey thanksgiving meal that was delicious and a very good portion. The lobster mash is very tasty with lots of lobster pieces. Our main course took a little bit to come out. Location: The chair had bread crumbs and there was pieces of bread under the table which they took care of very quickly. They were very accommodating when picking out the table location. Valet was subpar, very slow compared to any other time. They were not busy. It took a good 15 minutes after we got down to get our car even though we had called it 15 minutes before we head it out. I gave a 5 stars on all because I dot. Think valet is through the restaurant directly

Celebrating my birthday with friends and my wife. Had excellent service from Tim and staff. They took extra precautions for me with my food allergies! We started with the Seafood Tower, substituted the oysters for extra shrimp. Loved the extra spicy horseradish! Steak, Seabass and sides all cooked to perfection.

This is our favorite steak and seafood restaurant! We visit 1-2x monthly and always request Cameron who is the best server. If he’s not working, their entire staff is outstanding and professional. We started going to Eddie V’s at the original in Austin in the late 90’s. And we have enjoyed this location at CityCentre for years. All menu items are tasty and expertly prepared. We enjoy the oysters on the half shell plus wedge salads which they kindly split, serve with a steak knife and offer cracked black pepper which is appreciated. My wife usually orders the Chilean Sea Bass (Hong Kong style with miso broth). Always perfectly prepared and delicious. I go with some of the steak features like wagyu filets, bone-in filets and NY Strip steaks always cooked at the my preferred, perfect medium-rare temperature. The redfish with lump crab special and other seafood options are recommended. Our 10 year old is now an Eddie V’s expert and enjoys the kids chicken tenders with fries and side of fruit which I help finish to complement my glass of red wine…usually the Flowers Pinot Noir. And he discovered the raspberry sorbet in addition to a scoop of yummy vanilla ice cream for dessert. Their bananas foster cake with flambé is recommended. The atmosphere is comfortable and we always request a booth. And we appreciate the manager Will stopping by to follow up about our dining experience. This is an upscale restaurant located inside the city center in Houston, The restaurant is situated on the second floor. You taking escalator to get to the entrance of the restaurant. Reservation is not necessary but recommend it, especially for special occasions to make sure that you have a seat. We were there for our anniversary dinner so we reserved a table. They laid out some flour petals on the table to make it romantic for us, which was a nice touch. The service from Kendrick was amazing. One of the best servers that I had the pleasure of experiencing. The ushers were okay, it took them a little bit to get us to our table. Now, the low rating I gave Eddie Vs is because of their food. For appetizer we ordered jumbo lump crab cake which was amazing. Lots of flavor and it melted in our mouth. For the second course, we had the maine lobster bisque. This was very bland with heavy sauce. Not very impressive for a restaurant like this and obviously for the cost. For entree, we had the Chilean sea bass and 12 oz filet mignon cut butterfly and cooked a little over medium. The light soy broth on the seabass wasn't so light, it tasted a little overwhelming. Our steak was burnt outside and dry which is not acceptable from a restaurant like this. For dessert, we got the been enough foster butter cake and warm Belgian chocolate cake. The former was really amazing. The fire decor on it. But the latter left a lot to be desired to be a Belgian chocolate cake. We spend close to $200 for two with tips. For the price, the food didn't impress us at all. I don't think we'll go back.

Came here for my birthday and it turned out to be the best experience ever, the food was so delicious and our waitress was nice and always checked on us to make sure we was satisfied I highly recommend coming here and I truly appreciate the staff

Great ambiance, service, and dining. People rave about the crab cakes, but I thought it was okay, very crabby/fishy flavor. All else was great, service was exceptional. I look forward to trying it again, as the lambchops looked delicious.

We went here for our 11th year anniversary and had an amazing experience! The food was amazing and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu items and provided great recommendations! We even got a card signed by the staff, wishing us a happy anniversary, which was very much appreciated. we made reservations online and that was a fairly easy process and upon arrival, we were seated in a timely manner.

My firing time at Eddie Vs was for my birthday and I enjoyed the entire experience. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The items are priced higher, but it was worth it and I felt very luxurious. Will be back!

My siblings and I took my dad here for his 70th birthday. We absolutely loved it. Our waiter, Elijah was superb. He did an excellent job with a party of 10. The atmosphere was very pleasing as well. My 1st visit here as I'm from out of town. Will definitely be back.

First, it was the most perfect dining experience I have had in my 57 years. It was my wife’s birthday. The care and quality of the staff and cuisine were better than superb. From the oysters on a half shell to the amazing experience in the Lounge. It was beyond delightful. Anil personally made us feel welcomed into their home. Our server, Alicia, was skilled with every suggestion, and we LOVED the off-menu items. The dessert was astonishing and topped off the celebration.

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass & let me tell you it was delicious despite the pale look! I don’t remember what drink I ordered but it did its job! :)

We stopped in for Eddie V's happy hour and really enjoyed our time. My Martini was made perfectly and my wife liked her wine. For an appetizer we tried the mini filet mignon sandwiches and the crab cake, which were both outstanding. Our server was fun to talk with and made our evening fun. We will definitely come back for happy hour as the food was great.
