I came on a Thursday, no cover… it’s a speakeasy and a dark vibe with old music.. definitely nice for some drinks. Upstairs is couples only, it was pretty vanilla (fine with me) probably because I came on a weekday.. Will check it out on a Saturday.

This place has quite a cool vibe. The decor is funky. The music was fun. Drinks were definitely a bit pricey. I might as well go to a craft cocktail bar if I'm paying $20 a drink. The upstairs is... Interesting. Not going to go any further.

I'm glad to have discovered the wonders behind the nondescript blue door. Lightning here was on the dimmer side. And coupled with the comfy seating on the first floor and loveseats on the second floor, the ambiance was perfect for an intimate hangout. I noticed groups of friends casually talking as well. We started out at the bar where we were greeted by a friendly bartender. There was an extensive variety of drinks on the menu. I had the Paloma prima cocktail while my date got a mango margarita. Both drinks were strong and well made. After some good conversation at the bar, we got another round of drinks which we took upstairs to chill on a loveseat. If grown and sexy is what you have in mind, you will be pleasantly amazed at this venue.

Went on a Thursday. Not too crowded, no cover. Drinks are pricey. My date and I went to the second floor. To each their own upstairs but it wasn't couples only. Several single spectators. If you are cool with that, to each their own. It was fun and relaxing. We will be back. The bartenders are great and beautiful!

Very intimate speakeasy type bar. Dim lighting and couples only allowed upstairs, upstairs is a comfy sitting lounge. Nice place to take a date

Awesome visual vibe. The blue door is iconic, and the lighting and decor is sexy. The 80's pop music is fun but did not fit my interpretation of the atmosphere. Drinks are expensive, prices are not marked on the (awesomely self-lit) menu) and seem arbitrary, and taste good but not great. Feels like a missed opportunity, this could be one of the best bars in Houston given the mystique factor, but lacks cohesion.

Really nice low-key IYKYK place. Drinks were strong, a bit on the pricey side as other reviews have mentioned but I knew that prior to going. Mostly 80s music was playing which I personally like. Love the intimate setting and decor they have.

Went with a date. Was my first time there. The atmosphere was amazing and friendly beautiful bartenders. Upstairs was quiet, friendly people sitting, relaxing, listening to the good music. I definitely will return.

Went on a Sunday. Place was not busy. It's clean, dark and intimate. Drinks are pricey but have decent pours. You can drink downstairs with friends or go upstairs for some "privacy"

Very cool atmosphere. The music doesn’t fit the vibe (80’s pop). I got good service at the bar, but my lord, I was served the worst old fashioned I have ever had. I took it and smiled, but I could hardly drink it. This is more of a club than a speakeasy. The one star is for the false advertising that it is a speakeasy, and the absolutely terrible drink. The cover was $15 for single women, $50 for single men, and $30 for couples.

Comparing to other speakeasies I've been to, idk how or why this place has stellar reviews. It's not gorgeous. It does initially have a cool vibe. But the drinks weren't great. Love that upstairs is couples only but the furniture is gross and worn. Like something from a 1980s basement. They have curtains separating some sections. The extra (optional) privacy is appreciated when desired. Friends said it use to be better but can't confirm that. I'd love to see it polished up while maintaining the dark, seductive, mysterious, yet friendly vibe. Look forward to updating the review in the future but 2 stars for now.

Recommended by friends who went years ago and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks tasted weird; our group all had acid reflux or a headache after just 1 drink. Glad I got my receipt because I was charged for extra drinks on my tab like another reviewer mentioned. Won’t be going back.

I would normally give this spot 5 stars for nice atmosphere, decent drinks and good service but when we closed our tab and received our card back they didn’t have a receipt for us to sign, it was hectic so we left in an Uber. Each of us had 3 drinks, 6 drinks total, we know exactly which well drinks we ordered. We noticed a much larger charge on our card than what should have been. We stopped by, called and couldn’t get any answers. Finally we went right at opening and conveniently the manager wasn’t available. When we discussed the charge with the bartender he estimated what our bill should have been and agreed what we were charged was significantly more. They have a POS so they should’ve been able to pull up the sale based on our card number but wouldn’t attempt to do that. No one has called or tried to remedy this situation. Shady business practices!

I can not believe how gorgeous and sexy these bartenders are. Tabatha and Nicole will drop your jaw. You would think they'd be a little stuck up but NO!! They were so nice and accommodating. The drinks were perfect. The atmosphere was so cool great vibe all the way around. I'll be going back often.

I usually go on Thursday nights. I normally could take or leave the music however I will say this past Thursday night (June 29th) the music choice was on point. Normally it’s played far too loud in my opinion however this past Thursday it was just right in volume. You could listen and enjoy and not have to yell to hear each other.

Went here for drinks - probably my fault in the first place. The worst Manhattan I had in my life (not exaggerating…) sooo bitter, and also the Toki Highball was for some reason very bitter (?!). This place definitely has some sexual vibe…which I will not rate negative - that’s the theme and purpose of this place, apparently. But the furniture didn’t feel clean. Wouldn’t call it a cocktail bar with a private area, but a hidden lounge with some drinks. Don’t see a reason to come back unfortunately

I visited in March 2022. I loved my drink. I got "the deflowering", it was tasty and got me drunk quite fast lol. I enjoyed how dark the bar was. It gave it a sense of mystery. The upstairs area was a good touch. Love that they played 80s music. I will definitely be coming back. 😌

Great tasting cocktails, love vintage decore and ambiance as well as music. The novelty of the blue door is cool and lowkey. Drinks are a bit on pricey side so I had to deduct a star for that however, I do recommend pink tickler it was worth it.

This hidden Speakeasy bar is one of the best in Houston Texas and I recommend anybody who's looking for a quiet night alone with a date to check this place out. The drinks are fantastic and the ambiance will make this a place you will not forget.

Wow this place is nice. It is a hidden kind of bar with 2 levels. It is gorgeous. I don't know much about it but I would love to host an event here.

Chill. And hidden. Classic speak easy appeal and hard to find. Look for a blue door under the stairs. Good bar and seating downstairs. Comfy couches upstairs, a little spicy 🔥

A little weird for our taste because it felt like everywhere we touched it was a little sticky…but maybe we just didn’t go at the right night? The couples only area above is cute but the couches definitely seen their days. A lot of PDA in the dark…soooo maybe it’s vibes for SOMEONE? Drinks were okay too.

My guy brought me here on my bday, and I wasn't mad at the choice. I had a French 75 which was really good. We hung out upstairs and caught a bit of a "show" lol. Wasn't expecting that, but everybody's grown so do your thing. Lowkey, it was a nice night. I'd probably slide thru again.

Speak easy atmosphere, great music selection. Gets a little busy and you will wait for a beer. Friendly bar staff. Parking may be challenging at times... overall a great bar and will repeat.

We thought this would be a nice place to visit, private and not too loud. Normally it probably would be but for some reason they decided to hire a DJ that was way too loud for the location playing music that didn't fit with the atmosphere. No way was I going to get up and jump around dance in a dark hallway of a bar that has a snuggle up close, romantic type atmosphere. We didn't stay.

Manhattan tasted like a whiskey coke. Shortcuts were taken to make the drinks and ambiance is less than expected.

  • 3/5 Amanda F. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting place and great if you're feeling spicy. There's a social space and bar downstairs. Upstairs is cushy couches meant for adult fun and a loud 80s soundtrack, some of which had a sexy vibe. Sadly, this place is not handicap accessible. You may be able to navigate the lower floor, but the only way to make it upstairs is via stairs.

Cool bar with music that doesn't fit the vibe and its a turn off. 80s pop in a dark vampire feel doesn't match.
