First time having soulfood and when I tell you this place slaps, IT SLAPS! THEY LOAD YOU UP! I got the Friend chicken with collard greens and Mac n cheese as my sides! Also got an extra side of broccoli cheese rice. It's like a lunch line, walk in and choose your main and sides and pay at the end. It will be in a To-Go box whether you dine in or out. Food is always fresh! Price ranges from $20-$25 a person, but it's more than enough for 2 meals in one! I went on my lunch break and let's just say work after that amazing meal had me slumped of happiness!

Over the top flavor! I mean layers of flavor in every bite. Everything from the Fish, Smothered Chicken, Meatloaf, Beef Tips, TurkeyWings…and MORE was full of flavor. It was 3 of us in our party and we dined in, the atmosphere was inviting and friendly and even a bit cozy! We had an amazing time and the plates was filled to capacity with food. You have to bring your appetite to finish all the food they put on your plate! It’s a bit pricey $$$$ but we’ll worth it. Two people can definitely eat and share one plate! Give this place a try and thank me later.

I have to eat here every time I visit Houston. One time I drove from Fort Worth just to eat for the weekend. The food is always on point. The staff is always friendly and fast. This place honestly could not get any better. I’m from Mississippi originally and this place feels like I’m back home in Grandma’s Kitchen.

The food was decent and hot! The staff wasn’t very welcoming but seemed to just be there. I don’t like the speaker is in the entrance because they can’t really hear you place your order nor can you hear them. The servings are huge even for kids so it’s worth the price. Cornbread tasted mediocre like Jiffy but again it was decent meal if you’re craving soul food.

I ordered Ubereats just now and it was their fried chicken with 3 sides, apparently the restaurant forgot the most important part the fried chicken? Never ordering from y’all again and I reported y’all to ubereats. Disgusting behavior from a restaurant, shame on you.

Mikki’s cafe served some good soul food with hefty portions and great service. The staff were super friendly and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. The restaurant itself was going under renovation, which resulted in limited seating and it was warm inside. So it would be best to take your food to go, which I didn’t mind. I ordered the smothered pork chops with Mac and cheese and greens. Everything was seasoned just right and I felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. I really liked my smothered pork chop, but one was cooked to perfection and the other was overcooked. The Mac and cheese was real good and I enjoyed the greens. I would stop by if I’m in the neighborhood and craving some soul food done right.

Well....it's my 2nd Time in 2 years and it's still finger licking good! Everything perfectly seasoned! The customer service is what made me keep buying more things!

Came to Houston all the way from ATL to try out some food spots. Mikki’s was definitely on my to-go hot list after hearing my barber tell me how great it is. Well worth the visit. Best soul food I ever had in a good minute!!!
