I
have
been
hesitant
to
leave
a
review,
but
seeing
how
I've
had
so
many
health
issues
since
my
visit
to
this
hospital,
I
can
no
longer
stay
silent.
Last
year,
I
recently
had
the
unfortunate
experience
of
visiting
the
emergency
room
at
Memorial
Hermann
in
the
Heights
due
to
a
debilitating
two-day
migraine
that
left
me
unable
to
eat
or
drink.
My
expectations
of
care
were
far
from
met,
largely
due
to
the
attitude
and
behavior
of
Nurse
Practitioner
Cynthia
Lonidier.
From
the
outset,
I
felt
judged
and
dismissed.
Ms.
Lonidier's
demeanor
came
off
as
condescending,
and
her
treatment
gave
me
the
impression
that
she
viewed
me
as
nothing
more
than
a
drug-seeker.
It's
disheartening
that
living
in
the
Heights,
which
might
have
its
share
of
challenging
characters,
can
result
in
such
immediate
profiling
for
genuine
patients.
After
conducting
tests,
Ms.
Lonidier
hastily
informed
me
I
was
"100%
fine"
and
ambiguously
hinted
at
a
UTI,
even
though
she
admitted
my
urine
test
didn’t
show
any
signs
of
one.
I
was
then
given
my
paperwork
with
little
to
no
explanation.
This
hurried
and
careless
approach
might
explain
why
my
primary
care
physician
later
found
significant
concerns
in
those
very
records:
indications
of
pre-diabetes,
early
kidney
disease,
and
concerning
liver
spots.
It's
alarming
to
think
of
how
these
serious
issues
were
glossed
over.
Furthermore,
the
professionalism
at
the
ER
left
much
to
be
desired.
It's
disconcerting
to
note
that
Ms.
Lonidier,
among
other
staff
members,
appeared
more
engrossed
in
an
Astros
game
on
their
phones
rather
than
attending
to
patients
in
distress.
I
sincerely
hope
no
other
patient
has
to
endure
such
an
experience.
Proper
care
and
compassion
should
be
the
foundation
of
any
medical
institution,
and
I
am
gravely
disappointed
with
the
service
I
received
from
Nurse
Practitioner
Cynthia
Lonidier.
