So I decided to take my mom for brunch today. I was excited to try this place for the second time. Well today wasn't as great as the first try. My daughter's pancakes were burnt. When I asked for them to remake it, it was the same result. So I just said forget about it. Our appetizer and server RJ were great! I also enjoyed the $2.50 poinsettias. The other guest at the table enjoyed food from the regular menu. The beer canned half chicken and XL meatball spaghetti was good per the others at the table.

Came to Crisp to celebrate 2 of my friends birthday. And I have to say the pizzas we got were mighty tasty! We had Moscato called Caposaldo which was soooo good!!! We sat outside in the patio which is super cute! The only problem we had was the waiter. He was not really attentive to us... whomp whomp whomp. But other than that I definitely recommend y'all to go try this place out!! I can wait to take my fiancé to try it out

Tried this place for brunch and had a good meal. The brunch mimosas are really cheap ($12 for a carafe) and they had really good chicken and waffles, pancakes and pizza. This location also has a big parking lot so their shouldn’t be any issue in that department

The ambiance here was so relaxed and inviting, the music wasn’t too loud. My husband and I were looking to try something different while in town, and the menu items drew me in, so we had to come! The goat cheese marinara appetizer was right up our alley and it comes with 4 pieces of wine soaked bread, but you can get a side of 4 more pieces for $4 👀 we also shared the calamari (which was excellent!) and the burger (I put some of the extra marinara sauce and goat cheese on my burger, and in my opinion made the burger 😅🤤) we will definitely be coming back to try other menu items!

Came here for a little Friday date night the other day and loved it. Be aware that this is a very popular place - we showed up around 7:30, had trouble finding parking, and were told it would be about a 20 minute wait for 2 people. We ended up sitting at the bar with no wait and it all worked out, but if you don’t want to risk waiting, consider making a reservation. Anyway, we had great service at the bar! Our waiter was very friendly and quick despite it being a busy night. There was a great selection of wines by the glass and bottle. We had arancini to start which were delicious and served with an interesting pepper jam. We then split the truffle shuffle pizza which was great. Overall I really enjoyed the night - friendly service, good food, nice atmosphere (live music too!) and would love to come back. My word of advice is just make a reservation if you can and don’t be surprised if you have to park down the street a little ways!

The food was all really fresh and you can tell the recipes were created with a lot of attention to detail to the point I really enjoyed dishes my wife ordered that I would normally dislike. The pizza was also great!

As a native New Yorker living in Houston, it's hard to find places that give me a taste of home. An authentic Italian restaurant AND pizzeria right in the middle of the Heights is great! They have some of the best Italian food in the city and the brick oven NY style pizza is phenomenal!

Came in on a Tuesday night. There was a big birthday party going in the back. This place has plenty of space. Even has a conference styled room in the back. Plenty room at the bar. Our server Hannah was very friendly. As was told they were short handed especially with the big party, she had to run back n forth to help everywhere. Ordered the calamari, was decent. A build your own pizza with vegetables and sausage. It was not that impressive. Didn’t finish the pizza. Good wine collection and good parking space for the heights area.

Nice place. Very cute and romantic on the inside and chill on the outside. For some reason they don't give you ice with your water and we had to have them bring ice multiple times. Food and drinks are fairly pricey, I recommend getting the beer flight if you are ordering beer for more value.

More like a 4.5 if I’m being fair. Nice, convenient Heights location with a large back patio / outdoor space - great for families and pet friendly. Check out the specially hand-crafted cocktails for brunch. On our recent visit, we came with a large party (17 people + a toddler and newborn) and camped out on the covered patio. Even though we slammed the kitchen with orders, food came out quickly and prepared correctly to order. I do miss the donut burger from the brunch menu - yes, an actual thick, juicy burger using a large, glazed donut for its bun! - the chicken and waffle sandwich is a great substitute!

Delicious! We started out with drunken garlic bread and baked goat cheese. The garlic bread alone was amazing, and the dip it comes with was perfect. Then we got 2 “cluck you BBQ” pizzas. I knew I was hungry, but after tasting it, I couldn’t stop eating. I ate one entire pizza myself it was so good! Everything was great! Definitely try it out!

Food was amazing, quick, taste was great. Amazing place I highly suggest this to anyone who loves a good pizza that's not to heavy.

This spot was recommended by a coworker and it did not disappoint! Ordered off the lunch menu and the portions were massive and everything on the dish was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying the Chicken D'Angelo! Looking forward to coming in to try a Friday Flight soon.

Visited for Houston Restaurant Week dinner and it did not disappoint. The appetizers were both good, and it was crazy that I liked the corn over pork belly because for most dishes, it’s the opposite. Both main courses were very homestyle, warm food, full of flavor. However, they were just a bit too salty for me. The Oh My Gato cocktail was amazing! Was happy to hear it wasn’t a HRW special, but something that is on their regular menu. All food aside, I gotta really compliment our server, Mike! He was super attentive, very friendly, giving recommendations, asking for opinions, and was very knowledgable.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Week and enjoyed the menu items and flavors that it held! There were plenty of people sharing experiences while we were there. Good amount of seating for groups as well.

Food was great! Weather was nice so we ate outside. Eating area outside was great! I will be back on my next visit to Houston.

Great vibe and overall environment! The food was excellent... everyone (all of us first-timers) at the table loved their dish. Our first waiter was great, friendly and always available. And the live music was a great addition, too! Definitely will be back!

I came here after going to The Barking Pig and them not being opened at 4 pm, despite their hours online being listed at opening at 4 pm. I am glad we didn't get stuck at the Barking Pig as Crisp was amazing! Our server was awesome! She was attentive and made great suggestions. The service was perfect! The food was good. We had the HRW menu. I had the pork belly, gnocchi, and tiramisu. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to return!
