👍 Honestly the coffe I got was decent and still pricey for what it is. Staff was friendly though. You can only order on the outside I believe through a speaker. They'll give you your drink in this enclosure that you open up to get. No pastries or any food when I went but I was expecting that as well. People often mention coffee, drink, great, good, love, Houston, order, window, Xela, staff,

Finally tried this place, I got the valley girl bottled. It was very good and love the Oat Milk based coffees. I was rubbed the wrong way by you walking up to a window that’s fully enclosed, then being asked to tip when you get your premade coffee. You have no human contact almost. So strange, but again coffee was really good.

I absolutely love this place. I feel like such a cool girl drinking coffee here. All the drinks are vegan and purchasing at the window is super streamlined and covid conscious. Prices are reasonable and everything tastes so delicious. Go be a cool kid and try it for yourself!

First, I believe Xela is the best roaster in Houston. Second, it is one of the best in the South, one of the best I've ever tried. World class quality at our door step in Houston!!! I traveled enough, trust me. Consistency, quality, only going UP after years of operations. Typically coffee shops fall off after 1 year or even sooner.

Really love this place! It is the same neighborhood as my work, and worth the walk! I had a very tasty espresso with their homemade almond and pecan milk. Had notes of fruit and cinnamon. The artwork is beautiful and it is a lovely place to grab coffee in the morning or as an after lunch treat. Will definitely be going back soon!

Hands Down the best coffee in HOUSTON METRO AREA. I drive 45 mins every weekend just to get this coffee, it is that good. My suggestion is the Magic Johnson or the OB Honey if you like a cold drink. Their tea's are also on point. Remember this is a roaster that serves amazing coffee. Also, their beans are incredible, I buy bags to get me through the week then treat myself to a visit to Xela on the weekends.

Vibe- This is a cute colorful coffee shop in EaDo/second ward Houston, TX! You order at the window and there is a contactless box to the right of the window where you grab your drink. There’s no seating inside the building, but there’s a good amount outside for you to sit and enjoy your drink. Customer service- Great! The gentleman that took my order today was very helpful explaining what was in the drinks. Food/drinks- I honestly don’t know the exact name of the drink I ordered (something along the lines of on the kirby..) but if I were to go back for another visit I’d probably try their matcha latte. Parking- There’s about 5 or so spots in the lot next to the building and other than that street parking.

Just yes. Good for a nice day chill or drive through. Service is great- caring, hip, down to earth. Vibe bomb, great music, coffee is SMOOTH. Got a flat white- honestly divine. They use oatmilk which makes everything better. I know 0 people who wouldn't like the Pink Dragon tea. Pink from hibiscus and dragon fruit and good for you stuff, this decaf tea is basically perfect. Also loving their gear. Can also buy beans.

I'm addicted!! My go to is..Iron Goddess Tea Shaken and Espresso with Oat Milk.. The Butterfly Tea is also amazing.. The atmosphere there is very inviting.. They have an outdoor patio, great music..The staff is very friendly and helpful.. You can't find the uniqueness in coffee or tea like this anywhere else.. I wish they were on some sort of delivery service like door dash and open later.. Absolutely love them!!

Been coming here since they’ve opened and enjoyed their coffee served at other shops. Some of the best coffee in town that I’ll gladly drive out of my way. Staffs welcoming and always cool.

The service is always impeccable and the coffee is a MUST TRY! I reccomend the OB if you like caramel, and the apocalypse chai if you enjoy a dirty Chai. They recently now do dine in as well. Run don't walk ya'll. Vegan friendly too

Great coffee but unfortunately I can't give it a 5-star review. I've been here quite a few times in the past few months and 2 of those times they got my order wrong for bottled coffee, which I didn't realize until I had already left. Very disappointing when the receipts showed the items I ordered rang up correctly but they just grabbed the wrong items. Great coffee, and the incorrect orders were still good, but I wish the staff paid more attention when fulfilling orders. Especially since it's on the higher end in terms of cost.

Im a coffee professional and this is where I go on my days off. The best coffee in Houston, undisputed. Atmosphere, product, service are all 12/10. I’ve been going at least once a week for a few years & have never had a less than stellar experience all around. You can tell without a doubt that these folks truly love what they’re doing, and it shows in their products and service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 🖤

I googled "best coffee in Houston" and this place came up. It's a funky little outdoor cafe on Canal and easy to miss. Chris, gave me a wonderful education on their beans as well as just some really pleasant conversation. I had an espresso which was well-balanced and delightful. The pour-over was just as good. This is a must stop when you're in Houston, even if your not in that part of town, which I wasn't. There is a walk-up window and plenty of seating outside. Must go, worth the trip.

Absolutely love this place, my favorite coffee spot by far. The flavors are unique and exotic, and staff are laid back and really friendly. Would give more stars if I could!

Let me start out by saying OMG, amazing! I have had this place saved in my places to visit for quite some time now, never realizing that it's only half a mile from my daughter's school. So as I scrolled for coffee shops, I realized I had saved Xela Coffee. They've received great reviews so I obliged and was NOT disappointed at all. The staff was kind. I let them know it was my first time visiting, and they happily helped me pick out a coffee that is similar to what I make when at home. I ordered the Mocha -which I don't usually do mocha flavorings of any kind- but man it was perfect. It had a cinnamony flavor and wasn't too heavy on the mocha side. The menu is short, and although this was my first time visiting Xela Coffee, I'm willing to bet that what they do have on the menu has been perfected! 👌 **And for those who are worried about contact because of Covid-19, they have a two-way box where they set the coffee inside and then you open the door on the outside and grab your coffee. It's a nice walk up, order @ window, fast, & convenient place to stop by especially if you don't like waiting in long lines at more corporate coffee shops. There is a small outside patio to sit at as well.

If you like awesome coffee come try it. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick and efficient. Fairly priced. A must try if you are in the area.

Coffee was great! I am not a coffee drinker but I would buy something again if I were there with friends. I'm iffy on the pricing but that should not deter you too much from buying this amazing coffee. Also the worker that was there helped one of my friends choose which coffee would be best for him since he doesn't drink coffee either.

Saw this place getting build while I was in high school.. only regret is not coming here sooner . The drinks are so cute n tasty, the area in the back is so chill and pretty . Def will be coming more often!

Amazing quality of fresh brewed coffee daily. And also have teas for those that have less caffeine tolerance. If you are looking for a cool chill spot to drink some dope brewed coffee !

I drive over 20 minutes from pasadena to stock up on their coffee for the work week. My favorite is the valley girl. They also have great tasting teas as well. The staff is great. Highly recommend to stop by if you're in the area.

Great service and an awesome cup. Flavor of the beans really came through, I was only in town for the weekend and I am glad I picked this spot.

I love Xela! Seriously the best coffee in town. I have been buying whole beans from Xela since before the pandemic and the quality has been consistent. The effort in their roasts are done very well and are appreciated. My favorite bottle drink is the OG which has oat milk and double shot espresso. Every order they drop a few custom stickers in the bag and all the merch is dope. There is a cute little outdoor patio, no indoor area. Sometimes pop ups of other local businesses are hosted there. Overall, if you haven't visited this is a MUST GO.

I've heard great things about the bottled drinks. The vanilla latte was excellent, but the "daily drip" left something to be desired. It was a bit under extracted it seemed. Will go back and try things more in their wheelhouse.
