I came in after the lunch rush at 2pm on a Thursday. No one greeted me but I know to just choose a table. I sit down at my table and make myself comfortable. After a few minutes, 2 other parties came in AFTER I did. Their drink orders were taken, drinks were brought. Then, both of their food orders were taken before anyone even said hello to me. I sat at the table for 20 minutes with no interaction while waitreses were sitting down talking to each other. Even after making eye contact with me. Bad experience. I wasted 20 minutes of my lunch break. I most likely will not ever return.

My experience was so what not satisfied with the food being that the shrimp was so thin that it was more bread than shrimp and the fried rice was overseasoned. We talked with a waitress and the waitress had to get a manager to speak with us but the manager was trying to give us a discount (which was only 20% just for the fried rice). The manager told us 30% but ended up only being discounted 15% when we got the receipt.

My waitress Mila was on point. She was always attentive if we needed anything. The food was great and to my expectation.

Love the food there. No matter what you choose you can't go wrong.

Waitress was respectful. We got the bill and asked her to split it with our two cards. She came back and told us her manager helped her with making the split payment. Come to find out she came with one receipt only solely under that other person. No receipt was printed for me. The bill was 100. Divide that bill in half you expect 50 for the other person and 50 for me. Nope. I checked my bank account they charged me 100 for the whole thing and 50 for the other person. Making the overall bill we paid for 150 when the actual restaurant bill only 100!! We asked to speak to the manager. She was very disrespectful coming at us with harsh attitude. Forcing us to understand that they will refund me the 50 bucks back. And that she made the mistake of doing the payments but the kicker was if she made the mistake why not speak to us and tell us I mest up. Nope she thought we wouldn't notice. But we did and we called her out on it. Oh she did apologize for but that wasn't it she also said that this has happened many times about the messing up payments part. So overall she mest up on the payment taking a grand total of 150 dollars on a simple 100 dollar bill. She took out 100 from me and 50 from the other person. I am still watching my bank account often to see this so called 50$ she said that they will refund me. The Waitress was very nice and respectful. All of this happened yesterday around 4 pm.

We stopped in for some fresh seafood and was not disappointed. It was a bit loud and hard to understand the waitress but ended up with a nice piece of grilled salmon. The shrimp fried rice was actually pretty good. We tried the seafood empenadas and they were a nice treat and tasted fresh / homemade.

They don't allow you to add instructions on online orders instead they ask you to call the store directly which I did. The lady that answer me was rude and with an attitude. I asked to please add extra limes to my order of 16 shirmp She said "they'll be in the bag" and hung up on me! Then Order gets to me with not 1 lime in the bag. I understand it’s loud and busy in there but take your time to train your cashiers to listen to instructions if you won’t allow customers to input online. Food was good. I got a #4 16 breaded shrimp with fried rice. Shrimp was fresh and the rice was hot with a soft bread.

Not impressed. Place was packed and we were at the door waiting while the host talked to people behind us first. Food wasn't great. Way too much rice on the platters and not enough of the actual meal. My daughter ordered the shrimp fried rice because she mainly likes the little shrimp in it. She had 3 in the whole side. Asked if we could just pay for a side of the shrimp...they said no. So we ordered her another bowl and it had 2 shrimps in it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ need more drink options. And the "famous michelada" mix tastes just like a cup of Tabasco. No flavor.

The food itself is good, our server Ana was asked 3 times for missing food item and I get when you forget, but own up to it. Just say I forgot instead of blaming the cooks or someone else. It's literally your responsibility when you don't even come by when asked (3 times!!) to at least say sorry is taking a long time. She couldn't even do that. If you would have at least owned up to your own fault it wouldn't have mattered at all to me. Honestly! Because I get it, it happens.

I ordered delivery and my shrimp was not clean! My family enjoyed the food here, but now I don’t know.

Drove 30 mins for my pickup order for them to give me the wrong order. Was disappointed when I got home to wrong food. Food is good but I drove a good ways for what I wanted. Took a good while to get someone to hand me my order also. Wasn't too busy just everyone talking and not paying attention UPDATE: I HAVE TO GIVE A SPECIAL THANKS TO MARIA THE GEN MANAGER AT MAMBOS. SHE RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. TOLD ME TO COME IN AND GET MY NEW ORDER AND EVEN UPGRADED AND GAVE US A FEW GIFT CARDS. I AM VERY PLEASED TO SEE SUCH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH MARIA, WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

I have ordered 2 times from here on Uber eats. Was not disappointed at all with my orders. The portion sizes are amazing for the cost. The food is great. I absolutely love the shrimp and black bean empanadas calamari and shrimp fried rice. I can’t wait to try some of the other food. There is one thing I think they could improve on and maybe making them a bit more crispy. But that’s just my opinion. Other then that I will be a reoccurring customer.

Not sure when was the last time they clean but by looking at this I would think twice about ordering seafood here now. I order the pork rice and it's is so tasteless mambo is definitely not what it use to be. Won't order here again.

The food was delicious. The only negative was the young lady who got the order for me. An item was missing and she rudely informed me I hadn't " ordered it", and she walked away. I pulled up my receipt, showing her I had ordered it. Sue didn't acknowledge it at all, she walked away, got the item, placed it on the counter and walked away. But,I'll still go back because the food is good. I will just make sure to not deal with her.

Very nice restaurant, the service was great. Leslie was very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This visit was the 2nd at this location. The food was delicious. But I highly recommend that the server inform the customer that there will be a price change from what is stated on menu. We ordered a fish to be shared between 2 people and instead of the listed price the price was more than triple. It's not recommended that you assume the customer is prepared to pay a higher price than what's on the menu.

Been here twice already and the food is good, I devoured my burger under 30 minutes

The rice doesn't taste as it normally does, shrimp and fish under fried and tasteless......for me at least. I'm currently refrying and seasoning my order....you're welcome for my $40.(two mambo classics) before/after pics:

The food was a little bland but bearable however the fries and fried shrimp wasn't fresh. Our server was diligent and constantly insuring we were good.

The staff was friendly. My food was hot and fresh. I had a fried red snapper with rice and some sauce. It was so good and filling.

Food is always fresh ... service great margarita was my server she is just great I will back for sure I love the rice and shrimp mambo style 😋

The food and service were amazing! The empanadas are the best I have ever had. We ordered at least 8 or 9 items from the menu between the 3 of us and there wasn't one item that we did not love! It is a very popular spot and stays busy. But, that does not affect the great service. Our server was Breyana and made our 1st Mambo experience even more enjoyable!! We will absolutely be coming back every chance we get!

Food & drinks were great! Our waitress Elizabeth was amazing!! She was very attentive and on top of our food and drinks even though it was a very busy Friday night. 100% recommend...

Great Food! Love the portions too $$$ ratio.. can’t beat their fried rice. Not a fast food location they cook it for you and if comes out hot and delicious. Always on my Houston list.

Really good costumer service. Food is good enough for the price, nothing extraordinary or wow on this place. I don't know if is good or bad they serve Asian Rice, and a lot! I was so into the rice I didn't have more room for the rest of my plate. The fish and shrimp pretty normal and plain looks like I cooked at home. Flavor is okay. We ordered some gumbo soup was pretty good and the oyster pretty cold🤣

They food always leave me satisfied!! Anytime I'm in town, it's a MUST that we go there!! Highly recommend!!

Love this place...good seafood, beer and great service. What more can you ask for? And clean restrooms.
