Colorful place! Friendly staff, Affordable plates , So many choices on the menu including a healthy choice section also the salsa served with the chips is perfect! 👀 They have a little juke box with some jams 🎶 Definitely will be going back. 😊 I had the Taco salad and was satisfied.

This place has been around a very long time for a good reason. The customer service is spot on the food is just so flavorful and good 😌 it’s just the perfect Mexican restaurant. The only down side is the parking. It’s hard to get in and out but the food is definitely worth the hassle. I give it a 10 out of 10!

The service and Atmosphere were awesome. Came on a Sunday and it was packed! Like to the brim! It was so great to see the community here. The food is the only problem. It's just, boring. Like if they could have added anything to bring a flavor or two to each dish and every single one was just lame. At the end of the day the product is the most important part. I was disappointed with my 50$ meal. Just nothing special and it's Mexican food! I'm a bit worried I've been recommended this place before... I'll have to let everyone know it's over hyped.

I have been eating here since 1991. Always good food fast and friendly service. This is a popular spot so there will be a wait during busy hours. Authentic mexican food & a good bakery. Their bakery is not the best but good enough to get some bread before you leave out the door. Definitley worth stopping to eat here.

Always hits hard, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Houston. Down home cooking with flavor that slaps. Attached to the building they also sell pan dulce and all kinds of sweet bread they also sell shirts, merch, and Mexican candy

Good music, friendly staff, seating host was very friendly. Food came out quick. Soda served in coke glass or can. Chips and Salsa was delicious, salsa came warm/hot so be careful not to take in a whole scoopful like I did. Room is cooler toward the back of restaurant.

This is a small family-owned authentic Mexican restaurant near Houston Hobby Airport. They also have an adjacent bakery which I didn’t get a chance to experience. The service by Fernando was excellent and the food was good. Having lived in both Harris and Fort Bend counties for many years, this is one place that feels like home! I had the enchilada variety; picadillo, shredded beef, and shredded chicken. The platters come with rice and refried beans with your choice of red or green salsa. The others had similar dishes with flautas and tacos. While there’s room for improvement on the seasoning, I recommend them.

This place has so many reviews and a long line which gave us the impression that the food would be amazing but it was NOT. It lacked flavor and spice and disappointing especially because it's Mexican. This place is bland and is lacking the Cilantro, lime and jalapeño experience that keeps you craving for more. Would not recommend it if you are looking for authentic flavor.

I’ve been driving by this establishment for years and a friend finally got me to stop here for lunch. It’s very good, lots of helpful staff and there is a connected bakery. Parking is plentiful in the back, way in the back.

Service was really quick Also, the food came out very fast. I went towards closing time on a Sunday. Short staffed, they are not. Plenty of waiters and waitresses. There is also an armed security guard. Plenty of well lite parking space. Which is good, because the place was packed. Alot of families having dinner. Homelike food. Portions were good.. Definitely coming back.

I have been eating here since I was a kid with my parents and always loved the real authentic Mexican food they have. I also love their quick service and very welcoming present when you walk in. This restaurant also includes a bakery with all Mexican-style pastries. They are freshly baked and never cold and so good to have after your meal.

The Food was pretty good, the service was excellent, and the price was great considering I had so much food. I'm sure most things are made fresh in house, BUT THEIR TORTILLAS ARE NOT!

I had been in search of caldo like my Tia used to make. I finally found it! 🎉 Little did I know that our Houston family favorite, Taqueria del Sol, makes the tastiest caldo de res! Meat, veggies, spices and condiments sing a beautiful song together. Those chips and salsa are also the best! This place and the wonderful staff have hosted so many memorable meals for my family over the years. Now I know it’s my place for caldo! Btw they also have an excellent panadería adjacent to the taqueria. Good stuff! I’ve said it many times, there’s no place like Houston for TexMex food! Drop by - you’ll love their food. I’ll be back soon!

Awesome authentic TexMex! I usually get tacos(this is the only place that I get lengua), but tonight ordered enchiladas with carne a la tampiqueña. Delicious!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food. This is a great spot. The salsa and enchiladas verde have that good kind of kick. So, if you like a little spice, you should give it a shot. Just a heads up, there are no alcoholic beverages available. I recommend a Mexican coke.

I have been a loyal customer of Taqueria Del Sol since the late 80s, and I have never been disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere at this establishment are simply top-notch. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. As for the food, it is nothing short of outstanding. Every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you're craving classic tacos, sizzling fajitas, or their famous enchiladas, you can rest assured that each bite will leave you wanting more. The menu is a treasure trove of mouthwatering options that cater to every palate. In addition to the remarkable food and service, the overall vibe of Taqueria Del Sol is undeniably charming. The lively and vibrant atmosphere paired with the delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen create an irresistible allure that keeps me coming back time and time again. It's a testament to the enduring quality and excellence that this restaurant has upheld for decades. Overall, Taqueria Del Sol is an absolute gem, and I cannot recommend it enough. Whether you're a longtime patron or a first-time visitor, this establishment consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. It's a true honor to have been part of their journey for so many years, and I look forward to many more memorable meals at this beloved establishment.

The waitress was funny. We had breakfast tacos and quilereles? (Not sure spelling ). That red salsa is HOT but delicious, green salsa is delicious as well. The Hercules beet juice drink is top notch.

Loved this place a family friendly restaurant which serves some really good food and really liked it. I got the Al Pastor and Beef Tacos both were really good but liked the Al Pastor better and price was not bad either. Really friendly customer service and really nice atmosphere also, they also have a bakery connected to the restaurant which I thought was pretty cool. Overall amazing experience!!

Love this place. Family has gone here for over 20 years. Be prepared for a crowd. We arrived at 11:30 but didn't have long to wait for a party of 7 (no reservation). Hot sauce is sooooo good. Save room for dessert!

The beef tongue and chicarrone are amazing, the service is awesome and you HAVE to buy a shirt!

Had 5 Tacos, 1 Chicken Fajita, 2 Carna Asada and 2 Pastor all with Onions and Cilantro. The Chicken and Carna Asada were Delicious 😋. The Pastor was OK, but not as good as the Carna Asada.

Me and a couple of co-workers went here for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed. This is one of those hidden places you'll have to check out. The food was excellent and the service was on the spot great. I had the enchiladas for lunch and the portions were just the right size. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Food and service are always great! They have a little bakery right next door you can pick up some Mexican bread on the way out. This time i got the menudo and it was delicious. I only wished the Tortillas were handmade. Overall food and service are always great!

This place has been around for as long as I can remember. My family and I love this place and will continue to love it and come here as long as they remain open. As soon as you walk in, the smell of freshly baked sweet bread, nextdoor, hits your nostrils. Not only is the entrance inviting, the staff is more than friendly and willing to make you feel like you're part of the family Del Sol. Absolutely recommend this place. The food is amazing, and will keep you wanting more. Menudo is served Friday-Monday and is the BEST!
