A 6 hour wait in the er waiting room is unacceptable and a 2 hour treatment window afterwards in the back is ridiculous. I was there for a total of 8 hours and left with the exact same symptoms as when I came in. No improvement. I went to an urgent care the next day and my issue was fixed in an hour. This er really is a joke and I will never come here again. Save yourself the trip and go anywhere else!

I went to Willowbrook Methodist Willowbrook ER because I was having sudden extreme pain on Saturday, and my blood pressure shot up dangerously high. I was in the waiting room for 4 hours and never got into a room or saw the doctor. No one took my medical history. But the police had criminals in handcuffs and they were taken in right away and given treatment. I saw them leaving cleaned up and smiling, feeling all better. But the front desk kept telling me that I had to wait longer. I eventually just went home without any diagnosis or treatment, because Iā€™d rather suffer in bed than in a waiting room. Also as soon as you get there, they tell you that they are going to draw your blood. But what they actually do is put an IV in your arm, and then they leave it loose and send you to the waiting room. I closed my eyes so I didnā€™t know they were putting in an IV. I thought it was just drawing blood to test. In the waiting room, everyone was there with IVs hanging out of their arms. I canā€™t imagine that is hygienic or safe. They didnā€™t call anyone to go to the patient rooms because, as they told us much later, they didnā€™t have any beds. I saw people leaving with the IV still in their arm. After 4 hours of being miserable, and no other solution in sight, I wanted to go home, so I asked them to remove my IV. They rudely argued and put up a fight because they didnā€™t want to remove it and were refusing to do so, but I stood there and refused to get out of their way until they removed it. Iā€™m staying away from Methodist Willowbrook from now on, and recommend others do as well.

I just had the best experience here at HM E/R. Theyā€™ve completely revamped how business is done in the ER and itā€™s fantastic. The Staff, Nurses, and Dr.ā€™s were incredibly attentive. I was greeted, checked in and saw a physician within 20 minutes of my arrival. I arrived at 11:30ish, and almost out at 1PM with a solid diagnosis. Iā€™d recommend this ER to my fam and friends.

I hate to leave a bad review as my visit was actually pretty good aside from what went wrong. The nurses and doctors were all working very hard and efficiently to get patients in and out. My visit was only a couple hours long and I left feeling much better. However, I am currently breastfeeding and I made sure to let everyone who was working on me know that. The lady who checked me in literally wrote in my report that I was currently nursing. But I still made sure that everything they gave me was safe. I was given a dosing cup with 3 pills in it (all steroids) and told to take it. I asked the lady who gave them to me prior to actually taking them if they were safe to breastfeed with and she told me ā€œyes.ā€ So I took them. Then 30 minutes later as Iā€™m getting discharged she comes up to me and says that they are actually not safe to breastfeed with and I have to pump and dump for 24 hours. I am infuriated. I specifically asked prior to taking them if they were safe to which she replied ā€œyesā€ even though she wasnā€™t sure. That is unacceptable. My baby will not take a bottle or any formula. I strictly breastfeed and I have no back up supply, pump, or formula as he will not take a bottle. So now Iā€™m dealing with a screaming kid who is clearly hungry and refuses to eat. Iā€™m in tears because itā€™s breaking my heart that I canā€™t nurse him. He is rsv positive right now and heā€™s already a little dehydrated (Iā€™ve taken him to the doctor to confirm) and now he canā€™t eat. Had she told me they werenā€™t safe I wouldnā€™t have taken them and asked for a different alternative. Nurses and doctors do not know everyoneā€™s story so itā€™s not okay to give false information if youā€™re not sure. I would like a phone number of someone I can call to report this. What if I had actually left already and came to feed my baby? What would have happened to him? UNACCEPTABLE!

I hesitated going because of the poor reviews. I went at 3:00 AM because I was in so much pain. There were wheelchairs at the door for me to use. Check-in was quick because I was already in the system. I was called quickly for initial assessment. I had a short wait to see the doctor. Another short wait for meds and crutches and then discharge. They seemed streamlined. Everyone was kind and caring. I only wish that there was some type of valet at this time. I had to drive myself and I was having difficulty walking. I would recommend them. 8/22/2023

I really donā€™t understand what they are thinking at the emergency room. You go in the back get your vitals see the doctor they send you back out in the waiting room to wait on test results. With iv in your arm so if they had to give you meds through the Iv they could. Then the nurse or the doctor comes out and speaks to you in front of everybody about whatā€™s going on with you it is a HIPAA violation for them to be talking to the patient with everybody else around. . Very disappointed in the er at willow Brook.

Iā€™m not the one to write bad reviews, but when it comes to humans health , I will , just to make sure everyone gets the treatment they deserve . I would like to start off that I understand what understaffing is and being under construction. But the treatment that was provided was absolutely horrible . Brought my father in who had open heart surgery 2 months ago for pain that he was feeling . Got here at 3 AM and was in the waiting room until 12:00 because they were ā€œmonitoring ā€œhim . 12:00 came around and they decided it was time for him to get transferred into a hallway bed with other patients that had absolutely none of the same conditions. They claimed he went through several test that he did not go through . Nurses kept saying different things and we left with unanswered questions . Understaffing is understandable but this is unacceptable.

The doctors and nurses were fantastic. It ended up being a very long day at the ER but the staff could not have been better taking care of my newborn and I.
