It needs a lot of improvements though they do have many type fish. Very small place which needs to be organized and updated. Owners are very quite and are always busy.

I've been going to Aquazoo for a while now and it is about a million times better than chain pet stores. Customer service is great, the quality of fish is amazing, and the variety of fish in awesome. They have regular fish and they also have exotic fish that you can't find anywhere else in the Houston area, and they are even at a great price.

FB recommended I try this store. I live 45 minutes away, so I messaged them to see if they had what I was looking for first. I messaged after hours and they still responded to me. Not only did they supply a list of the ones I was searching for they also gave me prices, so I could decide to make the drive or not. Every minute of drive time was worth it. The store is amazing and the people were even cooler. Thank you Shannon for your patience, understanding, guidance, and help. I love my new Lake Tanganyika themed tank and all its inhabitants. We will definitely recommend this store and we will be returning as well! Made my week after struggling with my tank for a few months. Thanks again a million!

Went in there to look for something, spend only few minutes in there but i love that store already. So many species ! So beautiful. I will definitely go back there when/if I am ready to set up a new tank !

These guys are incredible, I got all my tank stands built from them, I get a lot of help on setting up my new tanks- and their livestock always looks excellent- super knowledgeable and helpful too- easily the best fish store in the area! Btw- you can get your water here which is a major plus!

This store is in my top 3 freshwater tropical fish stores in the Houston area. The owners are always helpful and clearly experienced in the hobby. They always have a wide selection of fish and plants, so much so that I see something new or interesting every time I go. They have a good relationship with their importers and wholesalers as they seem to be able to fill special orders pretty fast. They are also easy to contact over email and get back to you quickly. Personally, I’m a corydoras and pleco guy, and I’m blown away by the awesome number of wild corys and L-number plecos they usually have. Honestly, mom-and-pop stores like one got me into the hobby. Sadly, they are as rare as hens teeth these days, but I’m glad to call this one my LFS.

This gem of a place is something else. My hubby and I came by last weekend and it was wonderfully overwhelming. Their selection is WOW...so much different than any pet/fish store. Amazing store. It takes a while to take it all in. We will most definitely be returning. This place is serious about their aquariums and sea life.

Love this store! They always provide me with lots of information and suggestions for my tanks and great info on tank mates or ideas for nano aquarium's. Everything from the rimless tanks, rocks, plants, fish, gravel were supplied by aquazoo :)

For the price of the fish I don't see why they don't have 2 people working at the same time here. It was my first time here and after 20 minutes on my own deciding what to buy and another 10 minutes waiting for the girl to finally become available I just left. In those 30 minutes she was only able to help 1 person. People would ask questions but she didn't have the answers so she needed to call someone to get pricing or this and that. Mind you this girl was doing the best she could by herself but if she can only manage to help one person every 30 minutes and someone like me walks in hoping to spend a couple hundred dollars then I guess that's my answer as to why they don't have more people working there. You can't make money if you can't sell stuff. So that was my first experience coming here today sadly.

Wonderful selection of different fish in all sizes. Knowledgeable and helpful. If you want healthy fish that's a bit different from your big name local stores in CL, this is the place.

Great little fish store, knowledgeable staff, good prices on healthy fish and plants & they sell some VERY high quality aquariums, lights and filters, as well as all the sundries you need to truly enjoy the fish keeping hobby.

When walking into this place, you immediately notice the expertise. I will never buy aquarium plants or animals at big box stores again. The owners and workers are very knowledgeable and the prices are great. It is a tad more expensive than the big pet stores, but the extra money is absolutely worth it. The plants and animals are super healthy and not diseased. I would highly recommend this place for all your aquarium needs.

Very neat little gem! They are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Went for the first time yesterday and was able to get everything I needed to set up/convert my bio cube into a freshwater tank. Great selection of plants as well. I think I may go back today ;) I LOVE this place!

I am a noob, and the lady who runs AquaZoo made me feel like I could manage all the steps to get me started on an aquarium comfortably. She asked me good questions, gave me good suggestions, and guided me through the process based on whatever crazy notions I had in my head, letting me know what might work and what will probably not pan out. I feel like I would have definitely made a bunch of mistakes without her.

Staff was very helpful and sweet. Made sure my new fish would be ready to take back to Colorado with any medication needed!

The axolotl and mudskipper in the front are just too cool. They always have beautifully colored discus I keep telling myself.. One day.

I come in here often and it is my favorite fish store in the South Houston Area. I always end up buying something every time I go in. Staff is very helpful and friendly! They also have some amazing fish! Fish that you won't find at Petco or Petsmart. The selection is incredible!

Today we had our first visit to Aqua Zoo to learn about our tank setup before adding fish. They tested our water for us, and gave us the necessary stabilizers to get our water to a safe balance for our future fish! These people are SO sweet, and so incredibly knowledgeable. We are very much looking forward to doing more business with them!

This place is amazing, I love the selection of freshwater and saltwater fish. They always have constant stock! I have bought many fish from them over the years, and I always keep coming back! This is the best fish place in clearlake/friendswood/pearland!

First time in the store as a novice at keeping fish and starting to look into plants. The lady who helped me was EXTREMELY helpful and incredibly nice! You could tell she enjoyed talking about the plants and fish even though we walked in 45 minutes before closing. She made several recommendations and my wife and I came home with an assortment of plants and much more understanding of the hobby. I will be back and look forward to working with them!

They are always very helpful, all of their stock are healthy and lively, from fish pets to plants. They have a great selection of everything and will go out of their way to help you.

This place is all you'll need, really. I first came here years ago, but traveling five years for work set my aquariums on hold. Finally got back into it and this is it. The owners are great and super knowledgeable, and almost all of their fish are sold by scientific name so you know exactly what you're getting (not flashy names for unpredictable hybrids). They've got amazing community fish (barbs, tetras, danios, etc.), cichlids, puffers, loaches, and more corydoras species than I have tank space for. Many that're hard to find even online, and if they don't have it they can try and special order them for you. They can even help order you aquarium setups for larger tanks. And if you happen to have a friendly dog you can bring them too. Even if they desperately want to dunk their face in the duckweed because she's friendly but lacks manners.

This always has been and always will be my favorite local fish store. The owners are always so kind, they always have the coolest species & I always leave with something! They even have a great variety of plants & food for the fish. It’s a great shop. 💕

I do enjoy this place they are super busy though. So when you go just be patient. They have a ton of stuff to look at as well as being very helpful and informational if you have any questions or concerns about your home fish tank. They do offer RO water as well.

Hands down my favorite fish store. Nothing fancy, just a kind, middle-aged couple who have made use of every square inch of their shop. They always have a fantastic selection of plants and shrimp, and the owners are so helpful and knowledgeable! I only go somewhere else if absolutely necessary. 10/10 recommend coming here for your aquarium needs!

Went there a couple of weeks ago. The people working there were super friendly and helpful, the store was clean and there were so many amazing fish and plants that I’ve never even seen at the bigger more popular stores. I live in lake Jackson and will definitely be coming back for more fish.

Recently moved to the area and have been to several fish stores. This is one of my favorites. Interesting fish selection. Friendly owners. Also got a tank stand built custom for my fluval tank through them.

I don't come here as often as I should! Every time I do Shannon and Prosper are on top of it, and the new staff are equally friendly. I got some stunning ruby tetras today and was able to have an educational chat about some plants I haven't had before. Normally we go to big box because it's closer to our new home but the we had such a bad experience with their undertrained staff we made the trip out to get some quality customer service. Everything in this tank has come from them from the wood to the substrate and its going on 4+ years. Thanks so much for all the hard work!

I bought three fish here. The tetras had ick, it killed my entire established tank including a cat, two loaches, my other tetras, and of course the three new fish. I’ll need to sanitize the tank and start over. Won’t be buying from this store again.
