I used to love the meat's from this place and recommend it to all people i know until yesterday when the bacon i bought from the polish store was rotten. Second day I still have the bad smell in my nose. Took it back and they even did not care that they can get people sick. Not going back ever. The packages do not have an expiration date and some i way overdue for human consumption. Learned a hard lesson that i have to not be so naive and trust they are honest. I hope you will learn to before wasting you money and time like i did. Very disappointed.

Went here because saw the store on ABC 13 and their so called famous Polish Dessert Paczki. Was excited to make the 45 minute drive but when I walked in I was never greeted with a hello or can I help you from the lady working the register. Being new to the store I was looking for the area where the Paczki was.....I didn't realize that they were right behind the register. Walked up and told the lady hello...no response. So I asked are those all you have left?....I got a head nod only of yes....told her which ones I wanted which were only a few left...she packed them in the box and took off her glove and then decided to help the lady that was standing next to me.....she rang her items up in the register and the lady actually told me sorry for being rung up before me...she knew that I should have been helped first. She paid and left and told me to enjoy my dessert.....I got rung up...paid and left. I hope you don't treat all your customers this way....? This will be the last time I visit your store. Need to have better customer service and some courtesy would be nice as well. Ruined a good road trip.

Lady behind the counter was very rude and, I am a nurse and I only went to this store for my patient, due to the fact she likes to shop here and my client is from Poland and she shops here , all I was trying to find a certain item and I asked the lady at the counter, and she was very rude, and I guess since I'm a person of color of another race she felt the need to be rude to me , referring that this was the wrong address and this was a polish store , I knew what store I have brought my client here many times, she's been rude to my client and she is from Poland 🇵🇱. She really needs to work on her customer service skills . I will never go back there , and neither will my client . She was very rude and I didn't deserve that. If you are not from Poland, and you are person of color or another race, don't go there unless you want bad service

I was born and raised in Poland, so I’m always looking for a store with Polish delicacies. I travel a lot and I visited many places both in US and Canada. This store, in my opinion, is probably the best I’ve seen so far. Wonderful selection of products, very reasonable prices (comparing for example with DC area), the meats and sausages look fresh and appealing and the service is nice. We could maybe wish for more smile, but it’s a Polish store and we don’t smile unnecessary in Poland 😀. I recommend it to every Polish cuisine lover and anyone who is looking for some great quality ham and sausages.

Having been to Polish stores in Chicago, this is a big disappointment. There is a lot of merchandise with unmarked prices especially meats so you don't know what you re paying at the counter. The prices are WAY higher than Chicago even with inflation. And lastly, the ladies at the counter are VERY UNPLEASANT. They get outright nasty if you ask them anything(in English anyways). They remind me of the communist era sales people when I was a kid. So high prices and very bad service. I won't ever go back nor do I recommend this place.

I will no longer be shopping here. The lady behind the counter continues to be rude and very unwelcoming. Today, I asked if the candies had alcohol and she said, “no”. They were for my students. Luckily, my husband checked online and tasted the candies, before I took them to class. Turns out, they did have alcohol. I’ve tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she may be the rudest person on this planet. I’ve been to Poland and I was treated a lot better there. I suggest to order online from another store.

This place is an absolute gem. Huge selection of delicious looking food. I can recommend the smoked bacon and several of the smoked sausages.

I and three other couples visited this Polish grocery store and bakery today, to buy their traditional Pre-Lent (Fat Tuesday) Paczki donuts, filled with sweet fruit or cream. Selection of only four types was acceptable, but the service was not. The older woman, the only employee working?, disappointed us all with her rudeness and terse yelling, not always heard well or understood. She even incorrectly added sales tax to our orders, although we tried to explain bakery items are no longer taxable (since the passage of the Texas House Bill 4054 in 2017). Not about to convince her stubborn mind of her error, we paid the full bill, plus her illegal tax, and told her to keep the ~$4 excess change, saying she could use it more. Have a nice day!

Came here with my father, as we were returning from our trip heading back to San Antonio, and we were excited to check this store out. I asked this older woman in Polish about a couple unmarked items, to gain clarity on what it was. The way she responded to me was atrocious. I didn't take it personal at the first, but being native I was not expecting to be spoken in such a negative manner. Afterwards I had asked if she had another traditional soup called Flaki, she rudely told me "IDK, probably not, go ask someone else". This killed the experience and we decided not to get anything else after that point. Very unwelcoming to your own natives. Seems like many people are getting this treatment based on the below comments. It's sad to see such poor customer service, and lose of business. I would not and we will not return to this store. I would advise others to stay away as well. We spend nearly $200, and likely would have spent quite a bit more too. At the very end she ended up being our cashier. She didn't say anything just had a disgusted look the entire time. You'd expect a thank you at the very end and there was none of that. She did mention being sick today. But as I've combed through the reviews, I don't find that to be the case. True shame, does not represent our people well.

Lady behind the counter is strange at best. Spoke fluent Polish to her but that didn't really win me any type of sympathy. So for all of you complainers, don't feel special. As for the store - they have the biggest selection of Polish products in this part of the world. Some are old, some are not, but the fact they even exist is spectacular, so I will continue going there any time I'm in Houston.

Great place, the workers were friendly. Will go back. The Paczkis were freshly baked, the Polish Kielbasa we bought were so good.

Not that many polish stores in Houston unfortunately. Owners seem nice . They been running the business for along time. Be nice if the restaurant was still open but I understand the economy is terrible and could be hard to manage at their age without help with family if any of them are still around to help them. Seems like a nice couple. Just wish they had help to run the store so they could take some well needed time off. Just my observation!! I went in today with my wife and 2 boys to so show them some of my culture of food from my side of the family being polish.

Always a treat visiting the Polish Food Store! Last visit there, found the potato salad my mother made growing up. It's not exactly like hers, but was still extremely delicious! Walking into the Polish store takes me back to some of the stores back in Poland and other Polish communities. Definitely a must to visit!

Only Polish grocery store in the greater Houston area to my knowledge, so good enough. Close to only Polish church as well, so also convenient. Small deli, mediocre service.

For years I'm coming here for all my Polish needs - kielbasa, chleb, ogorki, czekolada. Viktoriya is very helpful and has knowledge of all their items. She also offers alternatives when I crave something specific. All around great service and products.

Authentic food (many items are home made) and friendly staff. I asked a young lady for help buying food for my Slavic guests, and she recommend several items. I bought alternatives and the guest unanimously choose what she recommended.

Man and woman said hello upon my entering... no, may I help you or welcome.. I looked around... purchased two different meats for a total of $4.30... Man did talk to me about the meats, but no other conversation 😒... Cashier Viktoriya was somewhat rude ... and treated me as if I was stupid... I didn't know how to count to 4.. I was attempting to give her $4- ones and .30 cent. She kept repeating I owed her a $1.00... I said hold up Ma'am with a smile... she kept saying she needed a $1... and she was quick to how smart she was on adding 😅 adding and thinking... Keep in mind I was still digging it my purse for a dollar bill or some change.. there were no person(s) behind me, and it was a good 3 hours to closing time.. I won't be returning, not because she had a negative attitude... I don't 😅 speak the Polish language... Meat good ....Store clean. Food packages clean... I am happy I made my 1st trip to the Polish store.

Although smaller than I'm used to (being from a Polish town in NJ)....that being said, I was quite pleased with my experience at the Polish food store. They had most of the items I was looking for and the price for these items were fair. My family and I tried the kabanosy as soon as I got home ....we were happy 😊. Can't give you a report on the kielbasa until Monday (it's for Easter). In short, I'll be back !!!

As you can see by my name, I am not Polish or of Polish descent. However, I would be hard pressed to name another store offering authentic Polish foods and products. What makes this place more special is the fact there is a Polish restaurant next door. Shop here to satisfy your curiosity and pick up a couple of donuts for a sweet treat.

Interesting place. You have to know Polish to read some of the things there and you have to be acquainted with Polish cuisine and culture, but still a good place to pick up things to do some Polish cooking.

I used to go there but it's not the same anymore. Not as clean, service varies. There is a man behind the counter who is usually friendly. There is occasionally a younger woman who is very nice. The old woman behind the cash register can be pretty grumpy and even a little mean. I am going to look into other sources for genuine Polish Food Items.
