Houston Methodist Hospital - Smith Tower

Hospital

😠 I give this hospital 1 star. They will leave you dying in the street if you dont pay them any money upfront.

The valet drivers (two of them) laid on their horn while I was backing my partner up In our AMBULANCE With a patient loaded. Let me just repeat that. They honked and flipped off an EMT moving an ambulance with a patient in it. I cannot stress enough how close I was to throwing hands with a 5 foot valet driver.

Absolutely terrible. They charge 7 dlls for parking and their machines dont read tickets well. No instructions. The staff are useless. EVERYONE leaves the offices at 5 pm so you get a line of people trying to pay their tickets for parking. Just frustruating.

Smith Tower has a serious need for MORE Handicapped parking spaces by elevators. Medical tower with insufficient handicapped parking, really!

Love all my doctors here, but gosh the employees need to learn that they need to let the patients in the elevators first. 🙄

Been waiting for 3 hours in the waiting room. When I got here there was nobody here. Asked what the hold up was. They said there was a lot of people...I'm sure there is it's been 3 hours.

I have been coming to the Smith Tower for decades, and I have had great experiences. Exceptional medical professionals and great supporting staff. The building is well-maintained, and the parking is much more efficient here than neighboring towers.

The managers of the MOB department are racist towards their employees, they treat them as if we have no right like all employees of the Methodist hospital, supervisors lack manners to treat employees

🫤 I am said to say that our birth experience was not at all what I hoped and expected it to be. Upon arriving, my husband and I were placed in the waiting room as we were told there were no rooms available. I understand that this is not something I should fault the hospital for, however it did impact...

😠 This is the worst hospital. Family member was brought here due to needing ICU. Family arrived on Friday afternoon. The doctors never talked to us. No one would tell us about our family member who is intubated. No prognoses. No plan. Nothing. The patient had a DNR but the hospital would not hon...

🫤 My mother was life flighted here after having a large stroke. The doctors are wonderful. But, she received poor quality of care from the majority of the nursing staff. I was very disappointed in the care she received. Call light not being answered, she did not receive physical therapy even though it...

😠 Had to bring my mom for blood work because her vehicle was in the shop. She was on the second floor and my 5 year old and I were on the first floor in the lobby. The woman from the front desk approached and asked if we needed anything and then proceeded to say we had to go outside. No children allow...
