Super nice and clean! Great equipment. Workout was a strongman style class which was cool since it was something that everyone doesn't offer. However, this didn't lead to a lot of 1:1 coaching since it was just sled pulls, but the coach seamed really nice! Would definitely recommend for a drop in

I went to Skyline for the first time today and I was very impressed. The coach, Dylan, was really helpful and cool. I lift weights and run regularly, but would much rather come here to workout. Firstly, because it is a tough workout that you can tailor to your own abilities. Secondly, because it does not smell like an armpit like my gym. If you are someone that struggles to push yourself this place would be perfect for you. Even as someone that does not like working out in groups or with anyone else, I really enjoyed the group exercise.

My friend has a membership here and she asked if I wanted to join her for a class. Best decision ever! It was my first time doing CrossFit and I really enjoyed it. Everyone at the gym was really friendly. The instructors were great at motivating everyone and making sure we knew the correct form. I'll definitely be going back!

I love this place! It’s the people that make it amazing. Great place to get fit, make friends, and whether you’re coming for your first time to crossfit or you want high-level coaching, they have it.

I have been a member at Skyline CrossFit for about a year and a half. I had no experience with CrossFit before this gym, but had quite a bit of history with gyms, lifting, and working out in general. I had been "courting" CrossFit for many months before walking into Skyline, but was apprehensive in general. One day I drove by Skyline and walked in. It was the middle of the day and there were a handful of folks doing open gym. One of the members, who I later found out was also a coach, Lad, was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a quick tour. I decided to try it out and started the Foundations program. Foundations is for people like me who have no experience with CrossFit. I found it very helpful not only with movements and technique, but overall in becoming comfortable. Skyline has become an incredible home for me and the hype surrounding CrossFit is real. Skyline is a fantastic gym with exceptional coaching. The owner brothers, Dylan and Ryan, are great leaders, highly motivating, and also extremely down to earth, which lends itself to being mailable with all types and levels of athletes. Skyline hosts many great athletes, but at the same time, is home to all levels of athletes. If you are a seasoned athlete with a lot of experience, this is the gym for you. If you have never wrapped your hands around a barbell, this is also the gym for you. Skyline is a Houston treasure. If working out in a group gym environment brings you anxiety, this will be a fantastic spot for you as well as the members are excellent in welcoming and supporting new people. I have been working out here consistently and at 48, I am more fit, stronger, more flexible, and more confident than ever. I love this spot and recommend 10/10.

I just moved to the area and heard about Skyline from friends at my old box who dropped in and Houston area folks dropping into my old box. I even checked out a few local boxes before checking this one out and even they had nothing but rave reviews. After my first drop in I immediately saw what the hype was about. Great coaching, fantastic space, and most importantly an incredible community vibe. The hours work great for my schedule too. Two classes were all I needed to know I had to join!

Great coaches and friendly members. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The coaches make you feel very comfortable with the movements and they do a good job of modifying the work outs to fit your experience level. Great place to forget about your stressful day and have fun with a workout. Definitely going back!

Solid CF gym in a good location in the Heights. Coaching is decent. I injured my knee outside of the gym after purchasing a 10 class punch card and attending several classes. I kept the two owners informed about my injury and healing process via email. After returning to the box and testing out my knee and realizing that I could no longer do any squatting, I asked the owners for a refund. The owners inexplicably shorted me by about $45 for my partial refund. When I asked why, no response. This was disappointing. Several friends of friends had recommended this gym but my experience was ok overall, partially because of how things ended with the owners.

My wife and I have been going to Skyline for 4 months now and we love it. The community there is amazing; we've been welcomed and encouraged by everyone there. The coaches are well trained and helpful, ensuring that the workouts are customized to your abilities. If you have been considering Crossfit as an option, but are not sure if it really is for you, Skyline is a great place to try it out!

Wonderful place. Great staff, the athletes are friendly and coaches are amazing. Coach Isabel very knowledgeable and thorough ... excellent job and her passion for Crossfit is very apparent. As a drop in, I enjoyed several classes and learned a few things in developing technique I was unaware of. This will definitely be my go to gym for drop ins on my frequent Houston business trips.

Dropped in for the first time today while visiting family and was very impressed. The gym is huge, very clean, the members are friendly and the coach was great (so was the WOD). Very laid back atmosphere that still provides an excellent workout. Will definitely be returning every time I am in town.

This gym is amazing! I am from Chicago and decided to pop in with my husband for a drop-in class. The space is great, they have everything you need and are open to letting you do your own thing if you have experience (I've been doing crossfit for 3 years). The best part everyone is super friendly and I will definitely be coming back when I return to Houston.

I’m a big fan of CrossFit and this gym is awesome! The coaching is top notch; not only with detailed and skilled warmups, but an atmosphere of “the heck you can!” I’m always challenged and I leave saying thanks to my lungs and thanks to coach! 15/10 recommend!

Super cool CrossFit community. I dropped in from out of town and had a great time. The reception area, equipment, and changing rooms were all super clean and well kept. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and knowledgable. The members were also friendly and made it a welcome experience. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone seeking a place to get fit in a community of like-minded people.

Was planning on trying a few different gyms while in town, but then hit up @skyline_crossfit_ and said "Nah, I think I'll stay." 😄 Super welcoming community, SOLID coaching, and great programming. If I'm ever in town, definitely coming back 💪👊👏

Crossfit gyms aren't the same. As someone who travels frequently for work, I find myself in a variety of locations throughout the year. The coaches are different here. The athletes are different. The camaraderie is different. The culture is different. The grunts and moans are different. In this case different = excellent! All differences aside, what I enjoy about this gym is consistency. Every coach is committed to your personal safety. Every coach is watching you, monitoring you, helping you, and pushing you to be your absolute best. If you think you're going to coast through a class, you are wrong! Side note: if you're a coaster, why are you doing Crossfit anyway? Back to the review. The coaches here are exceptional! There's a variety of coaching experience, styles, and certifications. There's even a level 3 coach (who is amazing) but I consider them all to be elite; the best of the best. EVERYONE is welcomed! No exceptions. This includes age, race, gender, culture, socioeconomic status, physical fitness status, and ANY OTHER group or sub-group not listed. Seriously, come on! Whoever you are, you're welcomed here. My favorite characteristic of this gym...there are no cliques! I've been to Crossfit gyms where this is a real thing. I didn't feel welcomed. I would try to talk to people but they just weren't interested. No engagement whatsoever. Probably because I don't look like a stereotypical Crossfitter. Anyhow, this isn't the case here. The athletes support each other and have no reservations about hootin' and hollerin' for ya. Cliques no, friends, yes. This was a long review but well worth the time to write. Hope it serves you well!

Group Classes Review: No matter where you are in your CrossFit journey, Skyline’s classes will challenge you and make you better. Attentive coaches, top-notch programming, a spacious facility, and an excellent community. Foundations Review: If you’re on the fence about whether to try it: do it now. I was nervous to try CrossFit. I didn’t know how to do Olympic lifts and didn’t want to hurt myself. I had a good level of fitness coming into it but knew it would expose my weaknesses (read: my ego would take a hit). I also didn’t know if I would even like it. Enter Coach Dylan, who patiently explained the CrossFit methodology, broke down each movement, corrected my form, and showed me how to get an awesome workout while I built my skills. He gave cogent explanations as to why I was doing a move a certain way and how it helped me functionally. There was no either/or of great workout vs learning; I got both.

Great gym! I just started crossfit for the first time and was bit nervous going into it. Ryan did a great job getting me situated in the Foundation Classes. Overall very kind and attentive staff. I would recommend checking these guys out.

I've been working out for a decade, in gyms across the nation, and this gym is the best I've ever attended. The workouts are technique focused. The trainers and funny, kind, and attentive. The setting is clean and large. I've only been attending workouts here for a few weeks and I can see differences in my body already. I'm so excited to see the fitness I can attain if I keep regularly attending. Anyways. Long story short: this gym is the best. Go here.

Hands down, the best. I moved to Houston and tried 7 different crossfit facilities inside the loop, and this one is by far the best. The coaching and community are two qualities that really stand out here. Additionally they have a great facility with a variety and huge quantity of equipment. If you are looking for a great group of people to train with as well as a highly experienced coaching staff- this is as good as it gets. The coaches are extremely experienced and able to provide specific, deliberate and precise coaching, cues and warmups. Whether you are brand new or an experienced crossfitter, they are excellent at matching their coaching to your abilities and helping you build on your current set of skills.

Have only been here for a competition and my CrossFit L1 certification, but the facility is great and the staff/coaches are welcoming and skilled. Look forward to going back.

😠 This place is a disgrace. The two lat pull-down cables have been broken for over three weeks and they look at me like I’m crazy for thinking they should be repaired. Most of the other equipment is either broken or missing. Even at $15 per month, it’s too much.

👍👍 I have been coming to Fitness Connection since April and I'm glad to say that I lost 30 lbs. It's a really big and nice gym. The perk is that they have a sauna. This gym also have many machines and cool classes. The workers there are really nice and knowledgeable. This gym is a keeper.
