We had a great dinning experience at Caracol as we celebrated a family birthday. 😋 Since there is valet parking it made it convenient since the parking is not too close. We a were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and we were seated promptly since we have had a reservation. The food was very good and the service we received from our server Mr Josue S. was exceptionally satisfying. My kids are asking when we can come back and I highly recommend Caracol especially for special occasions to create a memorable memories with your family.

We came here on a recommendation from a friend. Sadly, it was a disappointment. While the bar is large and beautiful, the vodka selection is pitiful. I can’t believe they don’t have Tito’s here. The food was beautifully plated but all served at room temperature. Another knock. The staff was nice and the bathrooms were clean. It was fun to try new foods but we won’t be coming back or suggesting it to anyone we know. :(

This is one of Houston 's upscale Mexican restaurants. The settings is very chic, having a beautiful bar. The food is actually very good. Service is very friendly, but as it gets busy, then it's hard to get their attention.

One star is given for the service, nice ambient and live band. The server is nice and friendly, always checking with us if we need anything. We wanted to try because we saw lots of good reviews on food and especially on the oysters. We were disappointed because they did not serve fresh oyster on the day we came as we were told that the past Friday was national oyster day and they ran out of oyster because of that. For the small selection of buffet, it is definitely not worth the price. The only food that is nice is the lobster soup, though i wish it can be a little more hot. I definitely eat less than what I normally eat as i didn't really enjoy the food. The other star is for the dessert table, not alot selection but each of it is yummy. Before we left the manager check on us and offer us a plate of baked oyster which was the best thing i ate in the entire meal.

Everything was fresh and yummy. The dine in crew were all attentive to all our needs and very friendly. Live band gave good music. It's a good family special lunch place.

Food: A- Service: A Ambiance: A+ Cleanliness: A++++ all staff wears a mask This was my first time here. The parking is in the garage and there was plenty of it. They validate so bring your ticket. The restaurant is lovely and nicely sectioned off so you don't feel like your in a huge place and you can easily hear each other at the table. I thought my food had great aspects but as a whole did not live up to my expectations. The portions are also very small, except for the dessert. I'm not opposed to going back again to try the happy hour.

This was such an exquisite place, I regularly have mexican food - but this place is worth it. We started with the typical guacamole and chips which were plenty - usually there’s a lot of restaurants picky with their guac, but they served us up good. We came in right on happy hour (I love their scheduling on this). I had the Paloma which was to die for, I kept ordering it because they were delicious. We also had micheladas, we wanted to be careful with this as we also regularly have this through local michelada places, but these were so good we also kept ordering. We also got the pork appetizer which was not a bad start before our entree - we wanted to try different meats as much we could. When the entrees came out, THE CARNE ASADA WAS ONE OF THE BEST MEATS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, and I have only said that for Peli Peli, so this was a pleasant surprise. We ordered chicken enchiladas to be on the safe side, but there was nothing too special for them, I wish they had flautas, I would have opted for those instead. The decor was beautiful and really gave off seafood restaurant vibes but we did not order any seafood, we do plan on coming back to update on that aspect but I had a great time eating here and dining experience. Daniela our waitress was patient with us and helpful. They offer valet services, but your ticket is comped at the end of your dinner so if you decide to self park it is not it is directly above the restaurant. We only had issue when leaving the parking lot said it was closed and did not accept ticket but called and it was resolved. I would come here anytime and any day and I am confident they would treat me and serve me as the first time. I will be back to confirm

Caracol birthday brunch was amazing! (Sunday brunch kicks off again at Htown Restaurant Group places tomorrow - according to their email.) Please, please, PLEASE order the cafe de olla. No cream or sugar necessary. It is perfection. Small conchas were a great start for the table. The oysters are perfect and most everything was very great. My only concern was we had an allergy at the table and alerted the waiter to the avocado/cucumber allergy. The arrachera con huevo came topped with avocado and we sent it back. In a matter of minutes the dish came out again and it looked like the same plated food with the avocado removed. I didn't get a pic and did not try it. Everything else was impeccably prepared and worth savoring. Our waiter made great suggestions and was attentive. I will always, ALWAYS order the Churros and hot chocolate for dessert at Caracol. Always. ❤

We had a lovely meal. We decided to do all 3 restaurant week menus. We also ordered a few regular menu items. Such a good atmosphere and a fun tasting. The fish was fresh and lovely So much flavor! We will go back. This is a great special dinner place with so much character

Great ambiance, service and drinks. Unfortunately the food warrants a 3 star review. We ordered the ceviche which I would rate a 3 star, the pozole a 2 star and the shrimp plate a 2 star. There wasn’t much taste to these dishes though they come out looking very pretty/ upscale. I see many recent reviews agree the food is not as good as you would expect for the location, ambiance and price. If we come back it’ll be for the drinks and not so much the food.

Food was delightful, as was the atmosphere. Service was very good. Extremely courteous. Yet there was a lot of confusion as the restaurant got busy. We were served dessert which we hadn’t ordered. We ordered coffee w our dessert & had to remind them of the order, which arrived after our dessert was gone. Language was somewhat of a barrier. Overall, we are happy & I tend to return. Great place ! Oh, their variations on cauliflower were remarkable !

One of the best spots to eat in Houston!! Delicious and unique food. Great cocktails. And divine dessert options. The dishes are kind of small but good for sharing a few of them. I’ve been coming to Caracol for years and I will keep doing so! Excellent service and good atmosphere. 10/10.

Caracol offers a delightful dining experience with its upscale decor, creative drinks, friendly waitstaff, and innovative menu. The dishes were beautifully plated and dishes were fresh. The steak was abit too fatty for me. The octopus had a nice rich smokey flavours. The enchiladas could use abit more sauce on the side. Overall everything tasted good. There is convenient parking options, including valet service and validated parking in a garage, make it a compelling choice for a visit for date night or hanging out with friends. They don’t have option for splitting the bill which can be inconvenient if your are in a group.

I feel this restaurar is overrated. I wanted to tried it since some friends recommended but nothing remarkable that I can talk about it. The fish and the vegan enchiladas had not flavor. The only thing that I remember being good was my desert. A chocolate sphere filled with coconut ice cream that was very good.

Based on first ever experience, but 5 stars across the board! We moved to TX 6 months ago and this is the first "WOW" food experience I've had, thank GOD! Was really bummed about the food scene until this! Came back for the Sunday brunch buffet! Way worth the price, absolutely beautiful and delicious!

We researched restaurants in Houston and decided to give Caracol a try. It was top notch! We had baked oysters and wood fired oysters with chips and dip. It was exceptional! The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. I definitely will be back to try other entrees on the menu. They even brought out a special dessert to thank us for dining with them!

We brought some friends from out of town here for Saturday brunch and had a wonderful time. We shared the oysters on the half shell, the tiradito de medregal, ceviche de Chile canario, and the gorditas. All of it was fantastic and so unique. I ordered the tacos de pescado estilo Baja. They were light with a perfectly crispy breaded outside. Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. There was a huge party in one of the rooms and that didn't delay our service or our food. We've been wanting to try the restaurant for years and are so glad we finally did. It was a fantastic way to show off the Houston food scene to some out of town visitors, too. Can't wait to go back!

This is for HRW: The service was good, but the food just left a lot to be desired. Pork was super salty and i missed the concept of Mole in the dessert.

We had relatives visiting from out of town. We normally eat dinner at Caracol and love their special events. We took our relatives here for lunch. I had never ordered the Pescado Zarandeado and I had been missing out! Our cousin ordered the Caracol Burger and said it was the best burger he’s had. We love the chicharrones de calamar. For dessert we couldn’t decide, so we ordered churros & caballeros pobres. Sorry, didn’t get a chance to take a picture. The churros are a must! I told the cousins that other than LA and CdMx and Oaxaca, these are the best churros. I am still bummed about Caracol not offering the mazapán and chocolate dessert, I had it in 2014 and it was amazing. Not sure why they discontinued it.

Experience was better than i could have imagined. Lived in houston my whole life 40 years and upset this is my first time coming here. Gloria was our server and she was beyond helpful in every way with drink and food recommendations and even got us a dessert that was apparently only available on the HRW menu but should be available at all time because it was to die for. It was the Pastel de Mole Chocolate Criollo and it was flavor town to fullest along with the churros and hot chocolate. Definitely sneaking in during the week ti grab some more and can’t wait to bring my parents to try the brunch! Thank you again Gloria!

Food was tasty, but small portions than what I’m used to, ended up ordering 2 meals just for myself to fully satisfy my appetite. Our waiter was great and very friendly, he also suggested the non-alcoholic drinks and was able to choose from there,, very patient and kind. Music/environment was great for a Friday night. If you go here and park in the garage, don’t forget to use the elevator and validate your ticket at the restaurant before you leave (kinda tricky if it’s your first time)

Restaurant week 2023 menu wasn't the best for vegetarians. For dinner, I think a warm soup is the way to go since you’re ending the day with your last meal. A colder soup, better for lunch (think Gazpacho). The starter soup was cold and saltier than imagined. The next cauliflower item was great, but the sauce was on the bottom. I think had it been on the top it would have been better since it would have had time to marinate through. The main course item was great, no complaints there! Really filling and had balanced flavors. The dessert was extremely sweet and overpowering. I'm not sure what to think overall.

Wonderful time! The food was delicious and we had fantastic service for my husband's birthday. Our waitress made great recommendations on food and "the coconut" dessert was so good!

Just finished Sunday brunch. It was amazing! My favorites where: tamale, lamb with mole, oysters, flan, pistachios dessert. Everything had delicious flavors. Nothing was too spicy. I would tell my Mom, who can’t handle any spice, she would have a ton of options. Cucumber lime aqua fresca was amazing too! Oh and the hot chocolate was a must have as well!

Had dinner with friends a year ago, it was a great experience. Enjoyed the desserts. The interiors are upscale and atmosphere is lively. None of the dishes we ate had a lasting impact so can’t add too many details, but they did have a few modifications for vegan/vegetarians.

Second time out here today. We had a great meal. The food is excellent and the ambiance and service is great for entertaining guests. We had the oysters, chicken enchilada, red snapper ceviche, lobster tacos, mixed grilled seafood, red fish, and finished it off with chocolate mousse, and churros and hot chocolate. All were good. Patricia was our helpful server today.
