Beware. Theft is on the rise at lifetime gyms in Houston. People are sneaking a peek at your locker code and taking credit cards. The management acts like they care but there are no extra measures to stop it. Ridiculous. Edit: Please disregard the fake concern from the management below. I had a family member reach out to the GM with their concern and they offered to cancel their membership. They’d rather cancel memberships of concerning members than address their concerns or look at how they can improve. The elderly should not feel unsafe in the locker rooms. A good solution would have been to at least warn your members of the increase in crime or the specific stint of people breaking into lockers to steal credit cards and SIM cards. Instead they’d rather dust it under the rug and cancel memberships of those who raise their concerns. How is that a solution? I know someone who had their valuables taken from them in early June and it resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Has there been an announcement made to the members regarding that? Nope. I don’t think the GM is versed in how to address this very concerning situation happening at their gym. They need more competent leadership. A simple sign in the locker rooms, or an email to the members would be sufficient.

The people working at this gym are the classic pretty woman shopping scene. They paste on plastic smiles until you say you’re there to cancel. Then, they ignore you while you stand there waiting. Yesterday I tried to cancel and they told me I would have to talk to another guy behind the counter. When I asked politely if they could please let him know, they stated “you can do it yourself, just walk around.” The guy I needed to talk to was with another customer and there was a huge line of people building behind me to gain access to the gym. I finally had to ask for a manager to come talk to me because the guy that refused to help couldn’t be bothered. Perhaps working front desk is too difficult a concept for him? I’m not sure if the lady that ended up helping was management, but management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing staff to treat members this way. Don’t waste your money for poor service, increasing prices, and sub par amenities.

Terrible. I been going to this gym for 5 years now. On Saturday 9-23-22 I forgot my gym bag by the front desk couch, right before closing. I came in the next day ask for my gym bag handed to me by a staff named Brandon. He mentioned he was the one who picked up the bag and put in the lost in found after closing meaning no other member could have gotten to it. I noticed my apple AirPods and Chanel clone were missing. I tried to locate them with find my iPhone and when I saw the staff Brandon they were connecting to the ones he was wearing. When I tried to approach him he took off and tried to hide the AirPods in plain site. I’m hoping management will do something on this. Let this be a beware notice to never trust a employee here!

Update - This gym is still Trash, and it has gotten worse!! This review is a few months late but this gym really used to be a lot better than this, its very disappointing. Let me start by saying the staff is nice and responsive most of the time. Unfortunately, it feels like management only cares about money, the gym is always packed and they mostl likely over sold on membership. The men’s locker room is as humid and hot that it can be, by the time you shower and get ready, it feels like you need another shower. Sometimes we have to wait for Towels, there is like 10 sinks and 2 soap dispensers. Showers don’t push cold water, either hot or warm water, and some of the shower heads don’t even work properly. I have been going here for years and I’d like to continue doing so, I hope management can make changes to bring this gym back to what it used to be.

I like this lifetime in city centre. Staff is friendly and the gym is relatively clean. They have awesome yoga classes with great instructors. Workout area has a great view since it’s on the second floor. I like that it’s not too crowded all the time.

Staff is alright, facility is decent. I don't know why but the locker rooms always feel a little gross. Additionally, their set up for the gym isn't the best. There isn't a section to work out away from machines, (like say you wanted to do a body weight workout or something) except for the GTX area which is in the middle of the floor (weird) and regardless of that, it is always being used. Lastly, their music is bad and blaring. I have to turn my music to the top volume and I can still hear it through the noise cancelling. Oh, also when they're teaching a class, the coaches play their own loud music... So combined with the gym music, the coaches play their own, so it's clashing and way too noisy with the added yelling. I'm not sure how they could efficiently take care of this problem... Maybe they invest in some sound proof rooms or something to have those classes? Or maybe they turn both overhead music & GTX music down? Either way, if you're looking for a functional gym, it's fine to workout here, but it's not going to be a gym where you're going to particularly enjoy working out.

With covid winding down I don't get over here as much (I-10 traffic), but has probably the best indoor lap pool in town -- always the proper temp, high 70s. Unbelievable four full-size basketball courts (one is used for aerobics) plus squash courts. Last time I was here there were no 60lb dumb bells -- did someone put them in their gym bag and walk out?

Very nice club for families. My wife and I enjoy our daily workouts, while kids enjoy the kid's academy. The kid's academy staff is very friendly and our kids love it there, they have lots of activities and are not taking shortcuts by just turning on the TV. Our daughter also asked to host her 8 birthday party there and the kid's academy team went above and beyond to make it awesome... one of the best kids' birthday parties we had so far. All the kids went rock climbing and had a blast at the open gym with many cool toys and sports activities. Thanks Jasmine and team!

I started Coaching under Brit, & was able to completely change the atmosphere of aquatics & kids club. However when Fahad was brought in, he dismissed me based on personal dislike. After being harassed, cursed & belittled by multiple supervisors & managers i filed an HR case. After my raise my hours were cut, & i worked for a wage that couldn’t cover a phone bill because of how much i loved my swimmers & wanted to make City Center thrive. Kids & Members begged & tried to speak with corporate & the GM but no one bothered to reach out to them. Their prices have gone up with no improvement. Take your family to a different location until management is changed. It was an absolute joy to coach 6 to 7 days a week for all levels & build their swim team to have them dismiss me & have Members cancel completely. I loved working at LT until personal feelings came above professional expectations.

DO NOT JOIN THIS LIFE TIME! They trick you into thinking you've cancelled your membership, but they will not cancel it until they approve it. I was a member at a much higher level life time before covid and ended my membership with them AS EXPECTED. This place has kept my membership open for months without making me aware that they didn't have everything they needed to cancel it. HORRIBLE ETHICS HERE! ...and the reasons I originally cancelled are because this gym is dirty & its impossible to get a good workout in as there are not enough quality machines. RESPONSE to Owner (as it wouldn't let me any other way): It was submitted.

We are whole family are member with lifetime with the highest member status coz my husband need it go to that location cost more than anywhere else. But me and my son come to this location often coz the indoor pool ! Today as usual we come here swim after school , as I sit here wait for my son done swimming I try grab 2 towels get ready for him, however , the racks usually have towels are empty, there is no towels anywhere in the pool area ! When I look around there are 2 ladies are folding it seems to get ready to refill or get ready to use! I walked cross the pool from the other side to her and grab 2 towels and say thank you and try to walk back to supervisor my son in the pool , THERE IS STAFF CALLED AP walked to me and stop me very ruled told me I CANT TAKE THAT TOWEL! I only can take the enfolded ! I am paying the membership coz they provide towels and supplies that convenient to come !so I paid 10 times more than regular gym cost ! And now STAFF ABI don’t let me use towels ! Doesn’t make any senses to me !

Coaches 5/5 - Our favorite coaches are Frederick, Anthony, Jaime, Scarlett and Traps. They all teach differently- in a good way - very fun and motivating. Cleanliness 3.5/5 - 3rd floor restrooms and hallway leading to the Alpha space needs frequent cleaning and monitoring. The people playing squash have all their gym bags, shoes, and equipment all over the floor. Group training classes 3.5/5 - The past few weeks have gone down for us. We enjoyed the classes more when it wasn’t packed. Not the coaches fault! Equipment 3.5/5 - There’s not enough for the people that actually registered for classes. When coaches have to modify the workout because there aren’t enough equipment (mats, weights, etc) that says something. This location has the most friendliest and motivating coaches (5/5). I would have given the gym 5 stars, but lately the classes are getting way too packed! People that are not registered think they have a VIP backstage pass and can bounce from one class to another. There aren’t enough equipment and space for more than 24 (registered) members. It’s disruptive to the class because you can’t even hear the coaches give instructions. Time is wasted on having to hurry to grab equipment before they’re all taken. I can tell some of the coaches get annoyed when this happens and I don’t see it getting any better.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the most incredible gym I've ever encountered. This fitness haven deserves nothing less than a perfect 5-star rating! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was blown away by the sheer excellence and attention to detail.

I took a tour on Saturday morning and the tour did not disappoint. Think of this place like an energy machine. It was full of people working out and literally giving it all they got, doing classes, music was pumping, people competing with each other. I suggest to book a tour on a Saturday morning like I did to get the full effect of what this place has to offer.

This gym has Everything you could need or want in a Gym. Plenty of machines, and a wide selection. Staff everywhere ready to help, and or sanitize, and stock up with towels. There's a Salon, Spa, and a coffee bar with juice or drinks, and food you can order. The locker rooms are fully stocked with Hygene products. You definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend it.

I’ve been a member here for over a year and absolutely love it! I’m always greeted with a smile (and usually by my first name) at the front desk and every interaction with staff I’ve had has been positive. I train with Aubrey and she is AMAZING! She really listened during our initial consultation and she creates custom workouts for me. She’s great at pushing me to do more and making sure I’m comfortable with every move we do. I’m definitely more confident about what I can do!

*Updated response Post Renovation: This place listened to the concerns and suggestions and responded solidly. There are now 10 squat racks, the barbells have been replaced. Disregard those cons below.* This place is the best place for weightlifters in the Spring Branch Memorial area. At its price point, I personally would expect more… Pros: - Really cool community, lots of nice people -Everything is always very clean, towels are available everywhere and sanitizer wipes are easy to find. Dumbbells are racked in order -High end cardio equipment -Helpful and friendly staff Cons: - The barbells and the bumper plates do not fit or are hard to get on/off. New barbells need to be purchased for the squat racks. I would expect proper brands (texas bars, rogue, etc) -Only 4 squat racks are present with a extra cage to the side. There should be more for a gym of this size -The hack squat is loaded on the glutes/lower back instead on the shoulders. It’s good for nothing really other than calf raises - Only one basketball court now. Hooping with friends was one of the best things about this place -Outdoor pool is lacking compared to some other locations. Understandable given it’s location however -Lots of technogym machines that aren’t very good at targeting what they are supposed to If money isn’t an issue than this place is probably the best. No solid private weightlifting gyms really exist in the area. At $130/month, It’s value per dollar isn’t the best.

Got complimentary access via my stay at the Moran city hotel - a great perk, as this gym is great. Very clean, nice staff, good facilities. Too bad I didn't have time for the rock climbing! The cafeteria on the ground floor is worth mentioning as you can get healthy food at reasonable prices.

Came here because my hotel package included a massage and day pass. Shea did my massage and he was amazing! Very gentle and worked out kinks. I also enjoyed the whole facility, from the jacuzzi to the pool. I'm thinking of getting a membership. Perfect spot for self care. I will be back!

Staff are fine. But I canceled my membership start of Covid. They confirmed by email I was canceled. They continued to charge and will not refund the overcharge. They are predatory.

Lifetime city center is hands-down, the best lifetime in Houston and arguably in the country. With the new renovations, they have continue to bring a new members and continued to give us more variety and options for working out. This Life Time has attracted so many new members, and now with the new pool parties, they are throwing in the daytime. They are competing with other Life Time’s like Greenway and. high membership location. The new managers, including AP and Fahad have done a wonderful job and aquatics, and this place is very peaceful and family oriented. The workers here are very social and some of the nicest people ever!I’m happy to my gym and it’s arguably my favorite I’ve ever been to.

Love to come here to play pickleball. Great and welcoming pickleball community at this gym. I believe they are removing the indoor flooring and making all outdoor flooring courts. this location has a total of 6 courts. I was looking for the soccer area as well but could not see it. it still shows on their website that they have the turf, I will definitely ask about it on my next visit.

Great Place....especially for squash! Adding some brand new squash courts. Great pro coaching staff. Fun and competitive players to play against. On top of that, fitness equipment, pools, sauna, spacious locker rooms. All around the best squash facility in Houston.

I want to say that everything has changed a lot in the last two months and the pool management is doing its best to ensure that everything is organized in an orderly manner. I think this is the first time in the last two years that everything is different and great. The swimming team practices very energetically and well, and their coach is also great.

This gym is top notch! I would give it 10 stars if I could. The staff is friendly and professional. The facility is so clean and spacious. There is something for everyone. If you get bored with your workout, come to lifetime fitness because they make everyday fun and exciting. There are classes with high energy, friendly and understanding coaches. I never feel out of place or worried of an injury. I wish I could move into this gym because I never want to leave. They have a eucalyptus steam room which leaves you feeling brand new! The pickleball teacher Nick? Is amazing. Brandon was a sub Zumba instructor who worked out with me the next day ! I love this place!!!!!

Its a really nice club. Luxury club. Everything is clean. Everyone working here is professional. The community is more mature and diverse and you can tell take health very serious. Yes, you are paying premium compared to other gyms in the area, but like all things you get what you pay for. Also, if you are a professional and struggle with chronic anxiety this is the place for you to start your journey of healing.

I loved this gym above all else but it is no longer up to par...the parking lot broke my car glass there are no cameras 📷 no one is responsible, I lost valuable things and the security doesn't know anything and no one saw anything they should put cameras on all floors have better security or make different parking for only gym members

😠 This place is a disgrace. The two lat pull-down cables have been broken for over three weeks and they look at me like I’m crazy for thinking they should be repaired. Most of the other equipment is either broken or missing. Even at $15 per month, it’s too much.

👍👍 I have been coming to Fitness Connection since April and I'm glad to say that I lost 30 lbs. It's a really big and nice gym. The perk is that they have a sauna. This gym also have many machines and cool classes. The workers there are really nice and knowledgeable. This gym is a keeper.
