👍👍 I'm just here to add another 5 star review for mantra! The food is PHENOMENAL (and everything is soy and gluten free!). The vibe is chill and I loved the energy!!! I'm just here to add another 5 star review for mantra! The food is PHENOMENAL (and everything is soy and gluten free!). The vibe is chill and I loved the energy!!! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a huge smile and a warm welcome. For the food, we had the Korean Bbq tacos and the Margherita pizza. I couldn't stop smiling after every bite. I also couldn't stop saying "this is soooo good!" The rose lemonade was also delicious. Please go support this amazing restaurant because I need them to be around for years to come! This place is a must try even if you aren't vegan/plant based.

We absolutely love this place! Order anything from the menu and you won’t be disappointed! One of my favorite dishes is the Plantain nachos! The staff is wonderful and the service is off the charts! This is a true gem just about a mile south of downtown Houston on Fanin St with easy parking. Check them out and you won’t be disappointed!

Me & my partner are new to the Houston area, so when I was googling vegan restaurants to go to for our date night, I was naturally intrigued when I saw that mantra had exclusively five star reviews on Google. My GOD does it live up to the hype- ordered coconut calamari, the lioness, Korean tacos, & an extra order of yucca fries because we didn’t want the meal to be done yet! We both snapped a pic of the coconut calamari for its beautiful presentation; everything else also looked just as beautiful but by the entrées we didn’t want to waste any time taking pictures lol Our server was incredible, & the bartender was as well! We weren’t sure what to get in terms of cocktails so the bartender made us drinks based off what we said we liked & they turned out AMAZING! On top of all that, everything is also very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality, I want to say we paid around $80/$90 for two appetizers, two entrées, & two custom cocktails including a 25% tip. I can’t say enough good things about this place, it’s truly one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to!

Mantra was AMAZING. It started off with a wonderful gentleman that was so helpful, super pleasant, and nice that felt like a lifelong friend. After looking at their 100% vegan and GF menu, I couldn’t decide what to get so we got a ton 🤪. The coconut calamari is phenomenal and seriously was, by far, the best vegan dish I’ve ever had! Egg rolls and the yucca fries were good. Plantain nachos were amazing as was the korean bbq tacos and penne! Mantra’s ambience was super chill and laid back with great music. Its beautiful inside and the service was really beyond excellent! I wish everyone knew about this place!

I was surprised to see this place having all 5-star reviews! But after coming here, it makes sense why! 1- Food: Food was absolutely delicious! I got the K-Seuol, and YUCCA FRIES and BALSAMIC BRUSSEL SPROUTS. So tasty and plates look like an art work! 2- Vibe: The environment was calm with a nice background music. 3- Pricing: Very reasonable especially considering the quality!! 4- Cleanness: A very nice and clean environment (germophobe approved lol) 5- Staff: Super friendly and nice staff! 6- Menu diversity: Their menu looks amazing and has tons of delicious options!! 100% recommend for vegans and non-vegans!

Mantra is an entire vibe! The decor is super modern and neat. There’s a huge beautiful amethyst in a corner and the space is full of plants and good vibes. The food is 100% vegan and delicious 🤤 Great staff too.

Great experience, just opened so just a little patience as they get into a routine. Great dishes, and the dishes have their own distinguished flavors!

I had a wonderful time. As soon as I came through the door, I immediately felt welcomed. The server was really polite and helpful in assisting me with my meal selection. The business owner is a nice guy and very personable. Food was delicious, had a fresh taste, and was light. Lovely location and ambiance. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone who enjoys vegan food.

Some thoughts, in no particular order: - A restaurant that doesn't give out print menus in the post-COVID world is annoying. A restaurant that doesn't give out print menus and doesn't have wifi for customers in a post-COVID world is offloading extra charges to customers in a way that shouldn't be tolerated. A restaurant that has no menus to give and simply has wait staff hand over their tablets to the patrons is particularly annoying if you're trying for high end cuisine. - The food genuinely isn't bad. I wouldn't say it's great though. The Brussels Sprouts as appetizers were fine, but over-priced and under-portioned for what you get. There's no particular flare to them, they just... are. The Marsala sauce on their main dish is soggy and approaching bland. It tastes more of a relatively quick home cooked meal than it does a restaurant staple. - The Wine list looks good. Thoughtful, even. I have not been back to try more wine, and don't plan on going back unless prices go down. - Would I recommend this place? Honestly, probably not as something to be sought out. Maybe try it if you're feeling adventurous but not picky, in the mood to explore but not tied to success of the meal. My dining experience was sub-par, but not terribly so. Otherwise, maybe wait?

Absolutely awesome. Great atmosphere, great wine, great food (be open minded) and Alex was great from opening the door all the way to keeping our dessert in the fridge cause we couldn't eat anymore... And I'm a meat lover...

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Best vegan/vegetarian food I’ve ever received at a restaurant. I had the Buffalo Jack pizza and a Moscow mule. Both were amazing. Would give six stars if I could

The food here is amazing. We had the best time! Alex has great recommendations and was wonderful to talk to. We sat at the bar and got the nachos, egg rolls, and buffalo pizza. The pizza is more like a fluffy flatbread and very cheesy. Everything hit the spot. We are excited to come back! Thanks, Alex!!

Visiting Houston and had dinner at Mantra. Amazing! The food was delicious and my server, Cameron was so nice! I had the coconut calamari and raw strawberry hibiscus cheesecake. This is really a hidden gem!

Food: I’ll start with the good. The yuca fries were very tasty, rose lemonade and the ice cream. The bad was a a lot. There was only one pizza option available. The Korean bbq tacos were just okay and the oyster mushroom Marsala was probably the worst thing that I have eaten in my life. The potato that accompanied it was also just bland. Service: Omg it took 30 minutes to just get the appetizer and another 30 minutes to get the meal. The restaurant was barely half full. If you do plan to go here, come prepared to put in all the orders at once because the service is SLOWWWW. The Atmosphere: Loved the vibe of the place. It is very chill and relaxing. Also they had a live dj playing great music so that was nice. I wanted to give this place a higher rating but I was disappointed with the food and the service. I’m not sure I would recommend it to someone or return.

I ordered the pasta and it was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the eggplant and veggies. He’s a picky eater and he thought it was okay. Overall, the food and customer service was great.

We had the coconut calamari, a pizza and wine; icecream for dessert. Everything was amazing. I am gf vegan and it is great to be able to order anything from the menu. The place has a great ambience and very kind personnel.

Plantain nachos were transcendental (and big enough for 2). Such a pretty and romantic atmosphere, really beautiful music playing. Every detail was obviously thought out. Truly kind service. It was so nice to be at this restaurant.
