The coffee shop is located in a shared space along with a few other cool little stores. There's a few tables and couches to lounge in or even for work. While the breakfast tacos were only OK, the cinnamon roll was fantastic! We also got an iced mocha and hot cappucino, and they were solid. There's a whole lot of creative coffee options offered here that I really want to try next time so I will have to come back to see what those are about.

One of my favorite coffee place. Latte and the Mexican cold drink were delicious. Also the breakfast taco's we're bomb. And don't even get me started with the pastries. Great place to have breakfast, chill time or do some shopping. This is a very old neighborhood, but it's looking better and better with places like ironworks.

This place seems good by the reviews and pictures. However, my experience there was probably one of the saddest ways I've seen a cafe ran. The workers forgot about our order after only seconds of checking if they had lemonade to make the Arnold Palmer. Not only this, but they were very forgetful and took forever to make simple stuff that they only need to heat up. Once we received our food order and began eating, I noticed that my tamale was chicken instead of beef. With the ridiculous wait times I decided it was best to just eat the chicken one lest I be waiting another 30 minutes for some subpar beef ones. I never even got the drink.

Came here after seeing it during searches for coffee shops nearby. I finally came after also seeing it on the Latin Restuarant Week for Houston. It's a large coffeehouse inside of a renovated warehouse in the historic 2nd Ward/EaDo. The place is Latina owned which is what initially drew me here. After coming, I have zero regrets! First of all, this place is massive. On the first floor they have at least 20-30 tables that each sit multiple people. A good number of them are near outlets and no one was fighting over them. There's also a CBD shop on the first floor. On the second floor there are some boutiques stocked with work from local artists and creators (like @cargovintagehouston on ig). I asked if they had a special for the Latin Restaurant Week and they pointed me to the Mexican Torta and La Mexicana Latte. I went with the latte, a honey, cinnamon, and vanilla mix. It was fantastic. One of the best drinks I've had from coffee shops. Workers were nice. Wifi is reliable. Ambience was cool and perfect for just about any situation. I will definitely be back and will try their food at some point!

I actually didn't try the coffee. The Hispanic inspired drinks caught my attention more. I had the the mel melon mint. It was very creamy refreshing and fresh. The rest of my family tried some of their coffees which they enjoyed. And also got a few pastries everything was delicious. Awesome environment to chill and relaxing. Also they have stores that are located behind it nice place to spend some time.

Stopped by the Ironworks because I was starving and decided to order from Segundo. I got two empanadas, however, when I received my food, it was completely undercooked. I would have been understanding if the baristas were busy and trying to rush orders. However, to be the only person in line and receive this quality of food for a higher price point is disappointing to say the least. I’ve attached pictures below to showcase the visibly undercooked food.

Beautiful spot, very quiet and low key in the morning during the weekday. I’m sure it’s very busy on the weekends with all the shops inside and pop up’s. Went in for the coffee and learned they have all these small shipping containers that have small businesses inside them.

Ok the cappuccino was amazing and trust me in the Honey butter croissant is best thing on the menu. The brisket taco is ok but just wasn't there like I hoped.

Great place for a date on the weekend! You can have a cup of coffee then visit all the stores they have inside of Iron Works. The Coffee is good, and they have some good tacos too! It's comfortable and a great place to read a book and relax as well. They have plenty of parking spaces, something I was worried about before I arrived, and a really cool looking building with a huge iron door that you have to walk through. Totally recommend this place and I'll be going back soon to try something different!

The atmosphere is so relaxing. Cool space to go hang with a friend, study or work from. Spacious and the coffee is delicious. I had the Coco Loco cold with milk. So good and one of the yummiest coffees ive had! Will definitely be back to try the food. The shops are pretty cool also. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful!

Pretty good coffee to my standards. I get black coffee with coconut milk and a pump of hazelnut. The vibes are great! There are event small store fronts within the same building. Nice way to spend a Saturday morning.

Super cute coffee shop inside an awesome collection of other shops! They have a good selection of food and drinks and also sell coffee by the bag. Enjoyed our cold brew and cinnamon roll!

Another cozy cute coffee shop in EaDo. Perfect place to get work done, studying done, or just hang out. It is inside the Ironworks building with a few other businesses (nail shop, real estate, tattoo shop). The customer service was excellent, the barista even made it easy for me to get some content of her making my matcha latte that was delicious btw! There is a parking lot right next to the building that has plenty of parks!

Very cute location. Coffee is very good, wanted to try tacos but had just eaten lunch. Had the cold brew and Coco loco. Kind of limited seating if it's busy

Their drinks are so good and addicting. The atmosphere is amazing and there’s so much to see within the building. My favorite drink is the white chocolate latte with oat milk.

My favorite hang out, in Houston. Grab some coffee, a bite to eat, sit and do some work or just hang out. The retail area has a variety of local small businesses and services that offer great options for unique personal and gift shopping. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for meeting up with friends or a date or a place to study/work. Dog friendly but city code prohibits in the dining area but okay in the retail area. Lots of paved parking across the street. Check the social media for market days or or other special events.

I love mornings but I love mornings even more when I sip on a cup of delicious coffee. ☕️I’ve continued the coffee treks and will be sharing favorites. Segundo Coffee Lab is located in a cutely renovated space of small retail shops at the @ironworksmarketplace__ in an industrial area of Houston’s Second Ward neighborhood serves up a variety of coffees and food offerings. We sipped on our drip coffees in the cozy seating area where folks drop in to stare 😵‍💫 at their laptops—memories of my 9 to 5 days that I’m glad are long gone! 🤣 I liked the vibe and variety of coffees they serve. I love how Houston is seeing the value of renovating historic spaces. Glad we dropped by. #coffee #coffeeforever #segundocoffeelab #secondward #houstoncoffee #cafe

Unfortunately, i'm not a fan. The cold brew was very bitter. I tried their hot chocolate too and it was way too sweet. The most disappointing item was their breakfast tacos. I got chorizo and eggs. I was very confused when they gave me a chunk of aluminum on a tray. I unwrapped it to find a cold and soggy tortilla that had a light layer of beans, dry eggs, and a spoonful of chorizo. It was edible. You know when a place has glowing reviews so you convince your friends to tag along with you and no one leaves happy? Yeah, I made that mistake here.

My family is here for an adoption, so we go to a new coffee shop in the area each day for both a way to get out of the house and because we LOVE coffee :) This coffee shop is located in a fun marketplace, with plenty of parking. The train goes by right outside, so our kiddo loved it. The seating area is large and lots of things to look at while enjoying some relaxing indoor time. It seemed like a place I would have loved to study at when I was in college - maybe a fun first date place - or even just a good place to sit and read a book. I have never had a honey/vanilla latte, which is one of their specials and I thought it was very good! It was pretty sweet, but that's what I expected with getting honey as a flavor. Between the group of us, we had a blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant and breakfast taco - which were all tasty and did not have the stale coffee shop taste.

I had the cafe de olla along with a red pork tamale. The coffee was not great needed some sweetness to my taste ☕️ The tamale on the other hand was delicious! Highly recommended!
