The place seems to attract sort of self-centered, always selfie-taking people because of the restaurant setup which we kind of understand, but it is good to be aware of it since it felt very odd to us. When we came to the restaurant, it was 90% empty, yet the restaurant staff did not allow us to sit at the beach front stating that there is a reservation of all front tables coming in 10min. We specifically asked for a short dinner and if we could sit up there, but it was declined. So we spent 1h at the back corner of the restaurant and at the time of paying there was still nobody at any table dinning at ANY of the front tables. Very dissapointing indeed. We had our meal order misunderstood, so it would be great if the staff repeats what was ordered before passing it to the kitchen. The prices are way too high for some food for our taste. Phad Thai 350 THB. On top of that, the prices you see on the menu are without VAT (7%) and service charge (10%). So you end up with 400 THB for Phad Thai at the end. We do not like the enforced service charge because we believe that it should be the choice of the customer based on the service quality provided and not a standard fee. These price addition-practices are "common" in large establishment in Thailand, but it feels like being bamboozled, twice. We called before coming to make sure we could use the pool after lunch (as in any beach club...), they told us there was no problem, but when we arrived, they finally refused, saying it was only for hotel guests (the pool area was almost empty). Nice place, good decoration however i cant recommend the food. Thai food seems ok, my girlfriend like it but the Pork Chop was quite average like i would cook in a hurry day late for work lol, dry and soaking in oil, 370baht and come only with a little tomato.. you can find better in street food for half the price. Nice place to relax and enjoy the view, but better only order thai food or drinks.

Utterly disgusted. I'm a guest if this hotel and we were charged 50baht each for their own plain water. When checking in to the hotel, we were informed that we can get additional water for free. And come on, who pays 50baht for plain water in Thailand. I checked in this issue with the resort and they explained that the restaurant was separated from the hotel (but they are all under Putahracsa Hua Hin). Food is above average, view is good. Just disgusted to be charged 50 baht for freaking plain water (and I already have water in my own bag!) Really a pity that their staff couldn't do anything about it. The food was mostly okay, tho I like crab fried and the shrimps’ size was full in my mouth. Kudos to that. If you’re looking for the sunset atmosphere, the sun does not set on this side of the beach so you’ll only see glimpse of lights through the clouds. It’s still magnificent especially for those who want photos! The prime location (mirror seat next to the sea) is only available for 1.5 hours per booking. But if the other tables aren’t full you can move your table to those later, the staff was very accommodating!

Me and my partner come here often as it is a great location, they have comfy sun loungers with music playing throughout the day and is usually really quiet and relaxing BUT the main let down for this place is the service. It’s so shocking we are contemplating on not coming back. It’s like your invisible! My wife waited 1 hour for a menu today and that’s only because she got up and asked for one! (This is a regular occurrence!) Then food was served without any cutlery so she had to get up and get it off another table herself while the staff where busy chatting and looking at their phones. Please give your staff some training about being attentive. The price of the food does not live up to the poor service what is offered.

Zero issue with price as its a beach front place in a resort. The price is to be expecred and not bad at all. Food was quite good the first time. Second time had a slug in the beans that come with the somtam that almost made me puke on my table mates. In addition a bug in my water from the lime slice in the cup. As much as the view is nice, cleanliness needs a step up to say the least. No issues like that at the cafe across though which is why service and atmosphere are a 5/5. But seeing food there makes nauteous now. Not a great experience paying ~500 baht for a dish that made me nauteous and a drink that did the same due to simple cleanliness issues. Not the experience you want at a place you're spending ~15,000 baht a night to stay at.

I usually go to Ob Oon bakery for brunch, their Smoked Salmon & eggs Benedict are probably the best in Hua Hin, all ther Bakery items are superb as well. As part of the Bakery is being renovated, we went to the Oceqn side. I ordered the Rock Lobster tail salad, it was close to perfection & gets 8/10. The 1 waitress serving seemed stressed & was snappy when I asked for Tabasco, she also forgot to place napkins on the table, I managed to get them from the service station. The food is reasonably priced for an Ocean front Hotel. This place has an ambiance that is definitely 9/10. Overall satisfaction 8/10, it's a must visit place in HH.
