Royal Hua Hin golf course in South of Thailand, was built by a Scottish railway engineer in 1924, and is Thailand's first golf course. Since then golf has exploded in Thailand 🇹🇭 to become one of the top golfing destinations in the world. It feels like an old style country golf course. The staff were great and helpful, and the caddy for the day wax fantastic as they knew the greens. It is also located at the base of the mountain so it is slightly hilly. It is a fun and yet a challenging course to play. Best suggestion is to play the golf course after a tournament being held. As you will get the course at its best.

Started early in the morning, before 8:00 a.m., with very good conditions. Very good staff in the secretariat and perfect caddy. The course is challenging. Beware of the monkeys.

It is a historical golf course, a first golf course in Thailand and bunch of old trees are dense along every hole. It needs to be well maintained fairways and some of greens, but still great value for money even in regular price. It has a promotional discount started from 1st of October and ends up on 31st December with 18 hole green fee 1,000 THB + Caddy fee 350 THB and the cart (600 THB) is optional. The fee is same on weekend. It also has a driving range with 40 THB for 40 balls. Caddies are all experienced. Staffs are very friendly, specially the manager named ‘Beer’. She know how to take care of customers with a great help as I have gotten to find my cellphone lost. The course layout is also unique and players difficult to make two on the green due to small greens.

Located near center of Huahin. Paid 1,750B for package including green fee, cart and caddy fee. Renting clubs are from 500-800 which is very old model. You can use Driving range with 40B for 30 balls. Location is okay, but management need to be improved.

Not a bad course. Has some nice layouts. Greens fairly decent. Good caddies. Was annoyed on the first tee as a group was chatting loudly whilst I was teeing off. As it's the oldest course in Thailand, I'd say it's pretty decent. Not much water but well worth a visit.

I played this golf course just recently, last time was 10 years ago. It's still the same although some views of the new railway not so good. The greens are excellent fairways pretty much dried out but the bonus is longer drives. I still like this course, many bars along the course with the all important cold beers. Lots of thai history here....enjoy.

Nice old charming golf course by the railway station. Tough to play, scenic and thoroughly enjoyable. Some really majestic and well aged trees. If you hit under them, you will have a hard time getting out! Greens are small and difficult to putt. A lot of accuracy requird on this course. Caddies are experienced especially khun Wit, a gentleman that has worked here over 30 years.

Gorgeous mature woodland is a real treat if you end up in there... which is likely as it's quite a difficult challenge I would say. The slope rating confirms that is is in fact about the same level as Black Mountain and more difficult than Banyan, Springfield, Palm hills. I played this a few years ago and have found that greens and fairways have been greatly improved since covid. Great work from ground staff. It's a beautiful course. I feel very lucky to consider this my home course. Staff and caddies are very friendly. Highly recommended.

I really liked this course because of the old style, with lots of mature trees and good layout. Some of the par 3s were very nice and a lot of the greens are small so difficult to hit. Only a little bit of water that doesn’t come into play much. 1950b for green fee cart caddie in high season is ok. Conditioning is not as good as other courses but not too bad, just some of the tees are bit worn and sandy. It’s a busy course because it’s in town but I managed to play as a single and got round in just over 3 hours as some westerners let me play through.

First Golf Course in Thailand, in the center of Hua Hin. Tricky Greens, many huge trees and very good Thai Food in the clubhouse.

Sanam Luang, old, mountain style layout, challenging, come after 3 p.m., good price. It's a field that you should try.

One time is a good experience. Greenkeepers were watering and left the water hoses on the green while we chipped on the green on 2 out of 18 holes.

The golf course it’s not so easy you have to play straight, the practice it’s correct maybe they have to change the balls more often.

Had the best caddy Soda number 120. I'm not a big golfer but she was very very good at reading the greens and understanding my play style. It was a very fun experience with her helping me and insightful knowledge of the course and an added bonus her knowledge of the bird life and tree species. The course could use some rubbish clean up in the roughs considering the rest of Hua Hin is very clean. Would play the course again (100% with Soda)

The golf course turns 100 this year. Great old trees. Wide fairways, great caddies. Everything lined up very well.

Driving range - Too many people just sitting around not playing and watching you. Puts you off when your trying to concentrate. 3pm onwards forget it!!! Full of Thai kids and their parents making noise and taking up all the spots.

A very surprisingly good course, only minutes from the town. Greens and fairways in excellent condition and staff very helpful and accommodating. Don’t believe the reviews on here, the course is in good nick and a real challenge. We played after a professional event so we would expect the course to be in good nick

Really competitive price and quality. Not cosy but clean and good enough. Course design is also good enough to play and to have fun. In this course, you can feel some difficulty or burden to shoot your shot to the mountain upward, but really great experiences.

Beautifull and well maintained challenging colf course. Reasonable price as well.

This is a good course to take your kids. It’s fun that it’s almost 100 years old but I suspect that’s when a couple of our caddies started working there. I was thinking about my CPR training as I watched them lug our bags around the course. The design and condition is “ok”. If you are a serious golfer you can do a lot better but for the price and the interesting trees it’s makes for a good afternoon.

Really enjoyed playing this course, not manicured to the same standard as some of the premier courses down in Hua Hin, but location and setting, with mature trees made for a nice experience.

Walk-ins are not accepted here. That is, if you travel without a reservation in advance but arrive at the golf course before 6:00 a.m. but can't get off because you didn't make a reservation, you have to go play at another golf course. But Catdie said it was impossible for him not to play. The ticket seller shows complete indifference to the golfer. Most disappointed in this field.
