Restaurant Thai restaurant

👍👍 Not fancy but well done. Great bench tables with thatch roof. Step above street food. Good Thai restaurant. Papaya salad was great and served authentically in a mortar. Pineapple fried rice was good. Was not spicy and on the low end of greasy which I liked. Friendly service. Nice environment. Solid... If you want good Isaan food at reasonable prices then Ruan Saep is the place. After about an almost 4 hour drive from Bangkok we were starving! We ordered larb moo (minced pork salad), moo dtet diao (pork jerky), somtum poo pla raa (papaya salad with brine crabs and fermented fish) and gai yang (roasted chicken). Everything was great except the roasted chicken probably my expectations were raised after a famous food YouTuber with that rubber face gushed about it in his video. Not say it was bad but more like average. Surprise dish of the day was the kanom jeen that was simply drizzled with garlic oil and bits of crispy garlic. Service was prompt, if you sit in the huts they have a buzzer to alert the wait staff. Will come back to eat again when back in Hua Hin. 😊 PS. After reading some of the reviews of bad food I think foreigners who come here have to understand that this is mainly an Isaan restaurant so not surprising their non-Isaan dishes don't taste that good.

This was a tasty meal and very good prices. My food came too 95baht for a Thai omlette, rice and papaya salad. The papaya salad however needed some adjusting. Wasn't sweet or acidic/salty enough. It had more ingredients put into it which was better but still needed a little more flavour. The Thai omlette was very tasty! The lady served us was canny and I like the bamboo style shacks.

Take home the signature dish, grilled chicken, 8/10, tasty sauce but a bit dry. Nice staff and quick service

we came at 1PM for lunch and we got the • pork basil rice w/ egg (฿70) • pork pad thai (฿70) • stir-fried mixed veggies (฿80) • coconut (฿40) • lipton lemon tea bottle (฿25) the food portions were really generous for the prices (they probably cater to white people portions). we were really full! 😆😆😆 the menu comes in english & chinese. staff were really hospitable too & friendly. i recommend this if you’re by the beach and looking for an affordable lunch! 🫶🏼

Authentic food complimented by a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is very diverse, covering the usual classics, right up to what the Western world might view as unusual. If you're looking for a genuine experience at a very reasonable price, then I definitely recommend trying here.

We were looking for lunch, a place with a big menu. This place has a great menu. I went for a new dish (to me), sun dried fried pork - wow, what a delight. Half way between fried pork & jerky, so much flavour. Their Papaya salad wa just right and came with prawns & some “sprouts”, which just have the most delicate flavour. A side of veggie fried rice & we were done. Excellent. The venue has plenty of ceiling fans under the larger roof, but the whole place is open plan. Sorry for the food pic, we ate & loved it before I thought of posting.

a lovely restaurant located in a good spot, with cute little huts to sit in (and a fan thank god), i would recommend for others to visit. the pork pad thai is 10/10, the lady that we got wasnt too inviting but otherwise a great spot:)

Really nice setting with amazing cheap food. The pork pad Thai was out of this world and would also highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The staff weren’t really that inviting

I had the fried rice with pineapple, very big portion compared to other thai places, definitely worth the (reasonable) price. There‘s strong fans over every table that keep the mosquitoes in check in the evening. Waiters were nice as well!

Good food, even better prices! I ordered stir fry mixed veg and a small plate of mixed-seafood fried-rice as well as a coconut. 190 baht, all-in! The portion was generous enough for me to be able to take some away to eat later. Can get busy, but it’s a large seating area. No frills, good meal!

We had dinner and asked for little spicy as usual, it is not spicy at all and is really salty. We asked for extra spicy flakes but still very salty. It is a touristy spicy level FYI. The decor is authentic though.

Great food. Great price. Had the grilled pork neck: it was divine. Also had the papaya salad, squid salad, tom yum and green curry. All good! A must try. Then head down to Market Village next door to have a cuppa and enjoy the AC :) (IG/FB: foodiepixies)

Really tasty Issan food. Good somtum, laab and sun-dried fried pork neck. Other Thai food such as Paneng curry not as good. Definitely worth visiting.
