The Wannara hotel is where we stayed during the Hau Hin Golf tournament 6-11 Sept 2020. I would rate it a 3-star hotel due to the fact it is old and needs upgrading. The furnishing is old, and the room does have a small refrigerator, which took a day before it got cold after cutting it on. There is only one facet in the bathroom sink. Cold water only. The shower was my best friend. The water was super hot. It was just what I needed in the morning to loosen your muscles up. The A/C needs replacing because I believe it is a one HAVAC system. It took a long time to cool the room. So I paid THB500 for the extra key, so it continues to work and cool the room when I left out. After playing all day in the sun, you don't want to come to your place and wait an hour or more to cool down. Once you check out and return the extra key, they return your money. It did have WiFi, but you need to have the staff show you how to connect when they give you the room key. It connects by zones first, and then you can connect the room. If you forget to ask them, call for assistance. They will send a staff member. The pool area and pool are great. I don't swim nor lay in the sun, but I am sure you would enjoy it for those that do. *Special note: Ensure the cleaning staff do not leave you balcony windows open. The monkeys can enter your room. Nobody mention this while we stayed there but don’t put anything pass the monkeys. The dining area and breakfast were excellent. It only cost THB150. Plus, there is no other place to get breakfast at 7 is in the morning. There is a Burger King within walking distance, but I am sure you will not get a full breakfast from them for THB150. There are only a few parking spaces, so first come, you don't have to find parking on the street nearby. The staff was amiable and will assist you when there was a concern. The hotel is within walking distance (1000 meters) to the beach, 7/11, restaurants, pharmacies, bars, and the Hilton. I can not say what it cost to stay because it was in the tournament package, but it can not cost a lot, and I would stay there again.

I was so disappointed in choosing this hotel for my stay in Hua Hin. I chose it because the photos were very promising and I was willing to psy a pittle extra. However at arrival and exploring the facilities all that vanished. The hotel is in a worn down condition and a mess with stuff laying around. There is only 1 swimming pool left, the rooftop swimming pool is out of order and broken. The swimmingpool downstairs and its surroundings are dirty and not maintained that well. It is also mostly a shaded spot and not a place to relax. The hotelrooms are clean and spacious but for less money you can get better in Hua Hin. The continental breakfast is a joke with minimal choices and not worth the extra money you pay for it. The buffet presentation and serving is also not hygienic and cooled.

I need to point out that I have stayed at Wannara many times before Covid, so these comments are based on my experiences. Others have indicated the location is good and it is, but the whole place has now gone downhill. Comments about A/C is not unusual as one of our group had to move three times before moving out to the Le Maison next door it was that bad. I stayed in 306 this time (June 23) and everything in the bathroom leaked -- the sink; the shower taps, the WC -- everything. Breakfast is basic and nothing to get excited about. Do yourself a favour -- if your after a cheap boys trip it might pass, but spend a bit more and stay at somewhere like G Hua Hin Resort & Mall -- I will next time. I will say that I had no issue with staff -- they just have a run down place that has not had anything spent on it in at least eight years.

Great location, central to access the bars, restaurants, beach, shopping and the rooms are reasonably priced to boot. Rooms though, are starting to age a little. Baby bar fridge and kettle have seen better days. Reception staff are a mixed bag. Most were friendly and helpful except for one. Big swimming pool with limited seating and breakfast buffet available. Wifi provided. Might return.

Air con not cold . Waited for 2 hours still hits at 26 degree . When approach custoemer service . They replied the aircon is old ! Never misplace your key card here ! It will cost you a 500 baht! Much expensive than any other hotel ! If the aircon is old you charging the normal rate! What makes sense for us to pay a 500 baht for an over used old key card ? Wake up !

Great location, close to many restaurants and bars, short walk to the beach and markets. Easy access to the two main shopping centres bluport & market Village, comfortable walk to market Village & approx 4km to bluport. Now Wannara good clean rooms, reasonable facilities, has a pool & buffet breakfast, not quite to western standards but a fair selection for most people. Reasonable prices for rooms.

We moved here from another similarly priced hotel and like it here. Yes, one lady at the front desk is not so nice, but others are. Rooms are clean and cleaned every day. Internet speed is decent, good enough for Zoom calls. Hot water in the shower (which does not seem to be standard). Free water in glass bottles. I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about at this price.

I've stopped in this hotel twice now and am booking again in October. Great location near the beach and all the bars but just far enough away to be peaceful. Good clean rooms and fantastic relaxing pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful (especially the cleaners) Due to covid I had to change my reservation dates 5 times and this was done with no problems.

We usually stay at this hotel when we come for our golfing week, however this time they priced themselves out of co tention. Way too expensive for what you get. On a positive side, the rooms are large and comfortable, service is adequate, breakfast is average but hardly ever varies and the location is perfect.

Location is great. Service was fine. Nice little pool. Room, though a Deluxe, needs some work. Shower (water comes out sideways), no knobs on bathroom door, visible mold on ceiling, and curtains need replacing as they are very discolored.

Good location but average hotel. Probably won't return as there are newer hotels around for the same cost. Don't know what it is when you book through Agoda and click breakfast included only to find when you get there it isn't. Anyhow this place may be for you but not for me.

Old, shower to low! Comes at my chest. Cleaning after 16.00 for 5 days. Swimmingpool murky

Disappointing. Stayed April 22 No breakfast service as advertised Limited TV service Dreadful wi-fi. Max 5mbps. Streaming not possible. Broken towel rail Fridge not clean Bed linen not fresh on arrival Water dangerously hot. Difficult to control. Swimming pool looked cloudy, uninviting. Not saying it was dirty but I wasn't convinced. Booked from agoda.com website which was completely misleading and should be updated.

a little old and run down, but stately, spacious. big pool with statues surrounding it. pretty fish pool. room large reasonably priced. pool could have been better maintained, but if u like swimming in large pool. breakfast was not included, and was average. good location, pleasant 8 minute walk to fine beach. owner went out of his way to help us get bus tickets. it's quiet, not on main road. all in all a little funky, but enjoyable and worth the modest price.
