Hua Hin

Train station

👍👍 I took the train south from Hua Hin to the end of the line. It was very cheap and the train was comfortable. I was offered a meal too! There was AC the fans helped circulate the air. Your baggage gets stored above your head on the luggage racks. The toilets had soap and toilet paper. What they don’t... People often mention train, station, nice, Bangkok, beautiful,

I took the train south from Hua Hin to the end of the line. It was very cheap and the train was comfortable. I was offered a meal too! There was AC the fans helped circulate the air. Your baggage gets stored above your head on the luggage racks. The toilets had soap and toilet paper. What they don’t tell you is you need your passport to book a train ticket. They announce the train coming in English too. I had a great trip and all the staff were friendly.

Digital timetable given in Google maps is incorrect. See the actual timetable uploaded here FYI. The short haired miserable woman who sells the tickets has an attitude problem. Nice building. Charge for a wee though.

A very nice train station. Friendly staff but with processes that are old-fashioned for Europeans. Are the trains ever on time? .... Doesn't matter. It works. Caring for travelers is also a relic of the past. No, not a dining car, but rather vendors with cool boxes who prepare their goods at the station and then bring them cooled with ice to the train and offer them during the journey. It's nice that something like this still exists in our modern world. And whether the modern world is really the better one...

I love traveling through Thailand by train. Especially in the 3rd grade, you can experience Thailand up close. Unfortunately, delays of up to 100 minutes are to be expected in February/Mar. There is a lot of construction going on on the Chinese Silk Road project. In the second air-conditioned class it is better to travel with long, warm clothes, as you are essentially sitting in the fridge.

Hua Hin Station is an attractive place to visit. The architecture of the two buildings is very beautiful and intact. The interesting thing is that these two buildings have different architectures with the same construction materials and colors so they look quite harmonious. The railway and the old locomotive are also two places that can capture beautiful pictures. Do not ignore the front part of the station and a Library across the street when visiting!

The food is delicious, the place is clean, the mall is nearby, there are green buses along the route, the price is not more than 15 baht per person along the route, convenient.

The main train station in Hua Hin is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Thailand. There is also. Luggage storage is also possible in the train station.

A must visit if you are Hua Hin. Has architecture that reminds you of the early 1900s. Great to snap some pics. Well maintained. Also there is a cafe that is right next to it in case you feel thirsty after visiting on a warm sunny day. If you are quick won't take more than 10 to 15mins to see.

A busy trainsstation, lots of people in transit, but also the place where the famous royal Huahin train pavillion is situated. Occaisonally the orient express also passes through.

I felt like I was traveling through time. As if time had stood still here. I found the train station nice, which also invites you to linger for a while. I even felt like getting on a train, but limited myself to watching the train arrive and depart. I was also a little unsure how “cool” a 5 hour drive to Bangkok would be. :-)

A big thanks to the staff at this station. Yesterday on the train from Chumphon to Hua Hin, I left my Tablet device on the train when I got off. Thinking I would never see it again, I went to a ticket guy and as best I could explained what happened. He understood and asked for my phone number. Well a few hours later he had located it in Bangkok and it was on the next train back to me. Words cannot express my thanks and gratitude.

Stop for 3 hours on the way to Bangkok. The Huahin train station is beautiful and the city is clean, quiet and pleasant.

Hua hin Train station offers cheap rides to Bangkok. For only 44 baht(ordinary train, no aircon), you can go back to the city in hours. It is very clean and if you are looking for a train adventure, you should try it.

Took a $3 USD train from BKK to huahin, the ride took 5 hrs, even though it was hot and sticky, it was a nice experience, a great affordable way to get around. Many nice scenery and you get to see how the locals get about their daily life. Once in a lifetime experience!

Nostalgia rules here in every way. Even the new station being built (December 2022) pays homage to the glory days of rail travel and the older station at the high end of Hua Hin. Some coffee shops, waiting areas.. cargo sections.. traffic and pedestrians.. and wheelchair access as well. Look out for the "station of love" cabin with cute 3D cartoon characters for a quick selfie or twelve. Announcements include anything from train approaching to keep your hands inside the train at all times in three different languages. Happy travels!

Hua Hin is a laid back seaside resort that has eveything. The train station is like a museum. The sea and beach are better than most mainland seaside towns.

every morning there is a train bangkok to hua hin, for the funny price of around 1 dollar, there is only one class - third clss, and it takes around 4 hours. very slow but lots of time to atch the view and the locals traveling with you for free (free for thais).

This is a historic railway station in Hua Hin built during the reign of King Rama VI. The brightly painted wooden building with Thai concept and design is an icon for the railway station.

Hua Hin train station, the hub to other cities in Thailand. Cheap option to go to Bangkok, HatYai or crossing the border to Malaysia.

The man behind the ticket sales counter might as well be asleep, he cant be bothered giving out only information all he does is point to the timetables. Even though my daughter was speaking fluent thai he was very rude towards us.

Would not go back, it is a tourist attraction but really for just a single selfie. Nothing to see. A nice part of history, but it is old and could use a renovation. Limited parking, but everything is free and walkable.
