This place isn't overhyped. Good customer service, excellent meal, tastes so good makes one asking for more. Though usually crowded but every morsel is worth the price. Customer service is ok, and the aesthetics is cool as well.

They said it's one of the best Amala spot in Ibadan, well not for me though, the food ain't bad. I'm a big fan of customer service and that is their number ONE problem here, they really don't care because of the mindset. That Amala joint is a room for RUDE ATTENDANTS. Regardless, I've been here a few times and it's always one issue or the other.

My first time visiting from Lagos and I would clearly state this place is Overrated. I heard so much and decided to stop by when I visited Ibadan. Food is overly priced and customer service is ZERO! Attendants were super rude and unfriendly like we were begging for food... so annoying! Although the food tasted okay but I will definitely not be coming back. I don't recommend at all.

I took a train with my friend from Lagos to Ibadan to eat Amala at Amala Skye. Weird right? I wanted to experience the Lagos/Ibadan train ride and also eat Amala Omo the food was cheap o. And it was filling #yummy 🥰 I took 4 wraps of Amala, Liver ( cos It’s usually soft) and two pieces of Pomo. Everything cost me N1,400.

This canteen is one of the top amala spots in the city of Ibadan . A scoop of amala goes for 200, their food is pretty much tasty. The customer care is zero tho, especially from the servers , they just seemed unnecessarily grumpy. They also don’t exactly have enough parking space

There is a saying that" seeing is believing " I couldn't believe the good news people say about Ose Olorun Food restaurant until I branch the place recently when I needed to do something at the first bank close to it. Ose olorun Food canteen is located by the roadside in ancient Bodija Market when going through UI-Bodija-Oshuntokun axis. It is very two banks : Skye bank and First Bank of Nigeria. There are Wema bank directly opposite the restaurants. At the first bank, you can find ATM Gallery to cash out and pay at the restaurants if you prefer cash payment. However, you can also pay with your card. The restaurants is top notch when it comes to local dishes especially Amala+Abula. If you are in Ibadan or you visited Ibadan and you couldn't find your way to "Amala Skye", seriously you are missing something nice. You can't regret eating in this restaurants because you will get value for your money. You will eat good local food and place order for takeaway. There is good customer relationship management and good hygiene. Waiters are responsive and make you feel important . Just visit the place Now! I look forward to hearing your feedback at the comment section. Thanks for reading.

Popular amala spot in Ibadan! Loved the food...it was almost the close of the day and they had limited options of food. Parking is available but limited especially during busy times of the day.

If you go to Ibadan and don't eat amala here, you need to go back o!! Whenever I am in Ibadan this is always my first place to visit. This is where I enjoy amala with abula and assorted meats and fish. The service is not bad, they have floating servers who will attend to your needs(with some encouragement from you). But the can be better. They need to get better air-conditioning to make interior cooler so you sweat 😓 so much when eating that amala!!

Best Abula place in Ibadan. If you are looking for a posh place this is not for you. But if you want a down to earth environment with great food, then yes, vomr

Amala Sky - A Delicious Haven in Ibadan I recently had the pleasure of visiting Amala Sky, also known as Ose Olorun Food Canteen, in Ibadan, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The reason for my visit was to catch up with an old primary school friend, Omotolani, and she suggested we enjoy a delicious Amala meal at this renowned eatery. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was impressed by the neat and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance was relaxed, making it an excellent spot to unwind and enjoy a good meal with friends or family. Despite being popular and well-known, the place was well-maintained which allowed for a comfortable dining experience. The highlight of the visit, of course, was the Amala itself. The food was simply outstanding and lived up to its reputation. The flavors were authentic, and the meal was served hot and fresh. As a fan of Nigerian cuisine, I can confidently say that the Amala at Amala Sky ranks among the best I've had. One notable aspect of Amala Sky is its reasonable pricing. The affordability of the food was a pleasant surprise, considering the delicious taste and quality of the dishes served. Additionally, they sell a variety of refreshing drinks that perfectly complemented the meal. Parking can be a concern in busy locations like canteens, but Amala Sky has taken this into account. The moderate parking space in front of the eatery was convenient and saved us the hassle of searching for parking elsewhere. The organization of the restaurant staff was commendable. Despite the large crowd, they efficiently managed the flow, ensuring everyone was attended to promptly. The service was friendly, making us feel welcome and valued as customers. Another aspect worth mentioning is the well-maintained restroom. Cleanliness is vital in any establishment, and Amala Sky certainly excels in this regard. It was refreshing to see that they prioritize the comfort and hygiene of their customers. Overall, my experience at Amala Sky was exceptional. The combination of delicious food, reasonable pricing, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Nigerian cuisine. If you find yourself in Ibadan and yearning for a delightful Amala meal, look no further than Amala Sky. I highly recommend it, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

A renowned Amala joint in Ibadan, it's one of the popular amala spots in town. I enjoyed the freshness of the Amala.

A must every time I'm in Ibadan. I always make sure I go there with an empty stomach... and they never disappoint. I will be back...

Located in one of the hottest place in the city of IBADAN. Good indigenous food. Good atmosphere. Take out, dine in and delivery are quite awesome.

They have perhaps the most delicious ewedu/gbegiri/ stew combo I have ever tasted. A little on the pricy side as an average plate with your choice of protein will set you back at least #2,000. Parking can be problematic because of the usual crowd. Sitting space is also quite limited. Overall, I think any amala connoisseur visiting Ibadan should experience the canteen at least once.

  • 3/5 Samuel S. 6 months ago on Google
A nice restaurant, very popular for their amala and ewedu. It has stayed true to its roots as a local buka However the service can be better, if you come there for the first time, it can be rather overwhelming, especially if you don’t speak Yoruba. It’s like everyone there is angry. Also the pricing isn’t really transparent, I’ve gone there 3 times, twice as a paying customer and the prices they charged have been widely different each time. All in all, if you want to go there, go with someone that speaks Yoruba and someone who’s been there before or get ready for a cold experience.

Amala Sky was on my bucket list to visit when I came to Ibadan and I did. What I did not like there is the fact that to make use of my card I would need to pay additional money. I mean I am patronising your services why do I have to pay extra when using my card as means of payment? I ended up using cash because I was not having it. The meal was just there, the highlight for me was the goat meat😍. It's best to say not doing you again ✌️.

I have dined in this restaurant a few times now but my latest visit was disappointing. The servers were rude, idle with a non chalant attitude. The meat served was all bones and charged at N1500 when asked for a replacement. It was refused, and it was like, if you don't want it, there's nothing we can do. You still have to pay for it. It's totally disappointing. Will consider if I will revisit.

I've not patronize this business before, but I do pass the front of the canteen. The picture is the correct show of the building. The outlook shows that, the environment is conducive. Such kind of arrangement could only be managed by civilized team. Kudos!

Food was ok but pricey compared to the quantity you're getting. I expected more due to the hype attached to the place and was a little disappointed

  • 4/5 Jide B. 2 years ago on Google
More like the most popular amala joint in Ibadan. Food is affordable but the goat meat can be expensive compared to chicken lap which they don't sell. You can eat in or take home To buy your food, you must be ready to queue with plate or wait a little while gods their waiters to help you get it of course with a tip afterwards

My experience this time around wasn't great. I bought goat meat (Ogufe) with my Amala the soup and amala were okay but the goat meat tasted like seasoning was sprinkled so over it. It was too sweet that I almost puked. This is unhealthy for 1 to eat seasoning directly. I hope they change.

I took train all the way from Lagos to Ibadan, I was anticipating for multiple wraps of amala & gbegiri...lo and behold, it was overrated & expensive. To doubled the disappointment, "the aboki" Okada riders are so annoying, they don't have better understanding of the area. Trust me, their food didn't taste badly, but my expectations was dashed.

One of the most popular food joints in Ibadan. As such, it's always very busy. The service style is rather different from a lot of other food joints because customers here have to pick plates and bowls from a large container on the floor and then move from one server to the next to get the complete meal. For example, you pick your bowl, approach the Amala server to get amala, then approach the server of gbegiri and ewedu before going to the person serving meat and stew. This process requires patience because there are a lot of customers doing the same thing at the same time. Depending on the time, it might not be easy for customers who visit as a group to sit together because most tables are already occupied. The pounded yam and efo elegusi is great. Likewise, Amala with gbegiri and ewedu is excellent. I did not enjoy the fufu so much, however. The ventilation is aided with air conditioners so food-induced sweating can be controlled. There are water taps available to wash hands and the staff are courteous. It's a nice joint provided you are comfortable with crowding around the servers and jostling for service to get what you want.

It's a must place to visit if you are an Amala, abula and orishirishi...lover....pounded yam, lafun, snails wey be like go aso rock come back 😀...the soups are very tasty and we'll seasoned. A scoop of #100 naira may seems small but believe me, you having 3 scopes will fill you up except you be wakili 😀.The taste of the stew and soups are always on point! The owner is up to date in upgrading the seating arrangement in the restaurant...ACS sef don dey...no more sweating like a Christmas 🦃 while doing justice to the hot 🔥 amala...you must come to Ibadan and not visit this restaurant. Today is my birthday so I had my breakfast 🥞 the Naija way. The total amount of the meal I had was #1900. 3 scoop of brown Amala, 1 goat meat, 3 assorted cow offal and a bottle of chilled Coke... I really enjoyed the soup...the popular and famous Amala Skye. These are also on the menu aside Amala...fufu, pounded yam, jollof rice and dodo and fried stew, moin moin, Efo riro, okra semolina, egusi soup...

The best Amala, Gbegiri and Ewedu I've had in a long while... Great food, wonderful service, spacious area... If I stay in Ibadan, I'll likely finish all my money here... Experience was absolutely worth the trip... Their reputation is well earned I must say

Wide array of sumptuous ethnic food. Always hectic especially during lunch hour. Food moderately priced on the high side and parking is so limited. A good wait of 3-5minutes just to park should be expected.

My Amala plug anytime I am in I.B. Delicious and tasty meal.... But why is Ogunfe 1,500 for one, why?? And it is not that big sef!!! And their waitress/waiters handling food payment need to be trained on how to politely manage customers especailly wen there's a high influx!

  • 5/5 Ademola O. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best restaurants in Ibadan for Amala. Food is good but not spacious enough. Good location, accessible and easy to locate. Ambience of the place has improved over the years.

  • 5/5 Salami O. 1 year ago on Google
The meal is good. Service can be improved upon. Although the outer environment (Bodija market) is noisy, there can be improvement on the quality of delivery within the canteen

  • 4/5 rita r. 1 year ago on Google
Well the food was not bad...amala portions were small and the meat was pricey . But it's a good place to visit whenever you go to Ibadan

  • 5/5 Iyanuoluwa G. 1 year ago on Google
This is a lovely food canteen that sells every swallow and also rice dish, but they are best known for their Amala. The Buka is popularly known as Amala Sky because it’s beside the Skye (Polaris) bank at Bodija

  • 5/5 AKIN-TIJANI B. 1 year ago on Google
The ancient taste of true gbegiri is well present here.... Kudos.... But typical of wherever the Amala is sweet, the attendants usually have an attitude.... 8/10

  • 4/5 Akinwande I. 1 year ago on Google
Eating at Amala Sky was another experience entirely. The place is famous for its Amala dish for a very good reason, the food is amazing and gives you the proper Ibadan vibe when eating. The service could be worked on to cater for the many people who come around to eat and the atmosphere is lively. Overall, if you ever crave Amala or even any other swallow and you're nearby, it's worth checking out.

  • 5/5 Daniel A. 11 months ago on Google
Ose Olorun has maintained its high standards from time immemorial. They are one of the best sellers of swallow foods, especially Amala and while the food isn’t cheap, it also isn’t expensive. There’s always something for your budget. It’s also easy to locate, the staff are quite friendly and the restaurant is kept clean always. You can’t visit Ibadan without paying a visit to the legendary “Amala Skye”, highly recommended.
