It was a lovely outing and as usual it felt good to visit the park and relax. Entrance is FREE. Coming with a professional photographer attracts fees, but you can take photos with your phone or tablets The park is well maintained, though some huts need more comfy chairs and tables. There are restrooms to use. The waterfall was unfunctional when I visited. You can stay as long as you wish. Hold meetings there. If you wish to have more seats, you will pay for the seats. I enjoyed reading the various parts of lagos on the marbled status. There are food vendors at the restaurant building. Due to renovation happening there, you will need to place an order and take your food to a hut. You can order food for take-out. Photos hoot can occur taking advantage of the greeny fields and setups in the park. There is children's playground with equipment for play. I recommend it here for cooling over, thinking over important things, relaxing, meeting for a few people, family hangout, picnic, and more. My mum and I had a good time the last time we visited.

I've always driven past this location for years, but never entered until last weekend. It's a very big park suitable for picnics, social meetings, mini parties, etc. There are 3 Big tents and 3 small tents that can be used as shelter. You can carry your own foods and drinks; but if you don't have, there's a restaurant in the park where you can quench your hunger/thirst. The park has statues of past governors of Lagos. It also has flags of all African countries. Each flag has a name plate shows information about the Capital of the country, the call code, the currency, and the independence date.

This park is mostly underrated. It is very big and there were many clusters of people doing their thing without disturbing the other. I totally loved it and there's security too. You pay 1k if you want to rent a mat. Entry is free for a group of 10 people, upwards and you have to pay. They have a food court for food, snacks, ice-cream, drinks, cotton candy etc. And the restroom is neat too. It is a very chill and serene environment. They close at 6pm.

This is my third time at JJT, amazing space, relaxing as well. It is a very affordable and sensible place for family hang outs, church hang outs, picnic, children's parties too. If you have rafia mats or other things you can spread on the floor, come with them if you don't, the park has some for rent.I recommend JJT park a 100%.

A delightful spot for group and family hangouts. It’s free to go in here and there’s a playground, a mini zoo and sand pit for children amongst other things. There are covered spaces with tables and chairs which accommodates people. Depending on the number of people on the park, you can have a space all to yourself and your people for your hangout. Bring your own food, drinks and music. There are toilets available in the park as well. Watch out for tiny insects that might be flying around.

Great place to chill out, especially on a bright cool day. During the rainy season, it can be great and colorful. You pay to enter. Watch out for those guys at the gate. They can be rude and more focused on extorting money from those who desire to park close to the entrance. It's best to pack at the private pack just beside JJT. If you're coming as a group, you may need to come with a power generator.

It's a good location to relax, study and have fun. There is quite number of fun filled equipments, like the play ground for kids, Chess game and good amount of huts that you can relax in and charge or plug your laptops and phones. Closing time is 6pm daily. It is always crowded by mostly weekends

Enjoyed the atmosphere. The last time I visited was 5 years ago. Coming back today, it still still maintained and kept to its beauty. I would recommend adult games are added to the park. It will spice up the fun for adults and people would want to come and play around. Would visit again soon and hopefully have more fun than this.

The Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park is a public park located close in Ikeja, Lagos. The park which was commissioned by the Lagos State Governor in December 2017, is a recreational space located within the proximity of The Office of the Governor, the Lagos State House of Assembly and the State Secretariat. The park is usually very busy during festive periods, but on a normal work day and during the weekends, residents and mostly workers within the environment visit the park to relax and recreate with family and friends.

It was an exciting experience here. The park has a lot of space. Different people with different kinds of events. You can hold a picnic here and have a wholesome and exciting experience. If you are below 10, you don't need to pay for any kind of event, but when you're above 10, there's a certain amount you pay. They have shops in there, you can get water, and drinks plus snacks.

The park is very big and quiet. It has a very nice ambience. It is a nice place to just go out with family and friends to relax. The best part about this place is how clean it was. Everything was prim and proper, even the lawn was properly mowed. The toilet; I have never seen a public toilet as clean as this one. The white was white, the mirrors were clean, the tap and other plumbing was working! I was highly impressed. The circle of flags and the different statues are also very nice to look at.

Entrance is free for anyone but for groups above 10, you have to pay 10k. The place is nice and surprisingly well maintained. Some parts of the park were under maintenance when we were there. To rent one of those huts (cover place with chairs), costs 70k. Their rest room was very clean and well maintained, this was very impressive. The park (back of it) is adjacent to ndubuisi park while the front (where the entrance is) is opposite the Lagos State house of assembly. The bus stop for both parks is lands bus stop (in case you have difficulty locating the place).

Went as an individual and no gate fee was required. There is a 'Free WiFi' spot not too far from the entrance, I didn't check it out though. This park seemed well maintained, the grassed well groomed and just perfect. About 2 to 4 sheds were available, the rest of the land mass are open spaces with trees which also served as sheds . It's a great spot for relaxation, hangouts, picnics. People can come in with their food and drinks, I saw that happen and there was no charge for that. There are also playing spots for children, swings and merry-go-round were spotted.

So, I visited the JJT Park for the first time even though I've had many reasons to be there in the past but I couldn't due to one reason or another. However, I went to make an enquiry to see if we could use the place for a hangout in December and I was absolutely impressed with what I saw. From the gate I could feel some level of safety and peace. I walked into it and saw different people, individuals and groups, having fun, taking pictures, playing games and enjoying life. The place was so calm and peaceful. Everyone doing their own thing. Another time, I decided to visit there again and this time, I sat down quietly and was just observing everything that was going on. I took a walk around, took some really nice pictures, took pictures with some To-Be couples who had come around for their PRE-WEDDING shoots. I visited the canteen inside the park at some point, got some iced cream, jollof rice and water. It was all a beautiful experience put together. The atmosphere is giving and you also get to meet a lot of people and talk. I will recommend it to you. You can visit on your own or as a group. You can have a party or group hangout there. You can choose to use the mat and stay on the floor or if you guys are looking for more comfort and to avoid the sun, you can actually book their Plumbago Gazebo special spaces, they have chairs inside them already. One takes 20 people, another takes 40 people, they have one that takes 60 people and so on.... If you need more information, reach out and I can also share the manager's contact with you so you can make enquiries just in case you can't visit physically. But I recommend it.

I thought you'd pay for gate fee, surprised it's free. It was crowded, fun. I had a good time relaxed watching people cut cakes, dance, gist, children playing at the park, running around. Felt good. The place is big, I totally loved it and there's security too, the restaurant section where they sell food, popcorn, ice-cream, drinks, cotton candy etc. And the restroom is actually neat too. There are parrots and turkey for a side attraction. Kudos to them

A fun park for lovers of outdoor games and also lovers of serenity. It can be either, depending on when you go there or who go there with. We had a team bonding here and it was so fun. They don't allow bottled alcoholic drinks like vodka, so you have to navigate how to sneak that in if it's need. 😬

A very calm, serene place to hangout with friends and family. It's located just beside the state house of assembly so your security is well guaranteed. Lovely views when picnicking with loved ones. Not so much parking space in front or pay a token to park in front. Come with your goodies (drinks, foods, games and music) to perfect your hangout. A place for every age that wants to spend time with family and friends.

This is the major park in Ikeja, my opinion. Right from the entrance of the park, you will know that this is a properly-planned public place. The lawns are well-trimmed, there are wheelchair accessible parking lots, the restrooms are good enough (even though there wasn't water) and there are swings and playthings for the children too. There is also a basketball court as well as a skating rink. It is a very clean place, and I'm guessing that's because it is in the Governor's Zone. But who cares?

As always I'd start with parking. It's free if you arrive on time but if you have to park inside its "N500". If you park at the park 🤭 nearby then its N200 + a long walk. Suffice to say, parking wasn't in the plans. The use of a nose mask is enforced. Entry is free however no glassware is allowed into the park. It's logical for the environment. Parks should be secure and safe. The Eyo bridge is one of the first artifacts you notice. It's interesting and follows the Lagos theme the park has. However some of the slats are broken so you'd likely not want to walk through. As a safety precaution, there should be caution tape around it. There is also an artifact featuring the faces of the 3 individuals whom the park is named after. It is surrounded by African flags however the flags weren't flying when I visited. There is a fountain as well but it wasn't on. Other areas include a mini zoo with parrots, playground for kids, cabanas with chairs, 3 toilets and a place where you can buy food. There is free WiFi but I didn't try for it since its cos of privacy concerns seeing as it's a public network. The toilets were okay, but could be cleaner. I'd also like it if there were security patrols occasionally. The security go around shortly before 6pm to alert people its closing time understandably, however, it would be nice if it were well lit and secure enough to stay open longer. All in all a very nice place to relax, talk, meet, or even have a little party.

No entrance fee, which is always nice. The park is serene, but gets crowded in the evening when people start to file in. Would recommend for anyone who needs to touch grass and read a book under the sun.

Johnson Jakande Park, situated in close proximity to Lagos Assembly House.Alausa, is a captivating green haven that seamlessly blends nature with urban life. As you step into the park, a wave of tranquility washes over you, providing a stark contrast to the surrounding urban hustle and bustle. The park's well-manicured pathways invite visitors to embark on leisurely strolls, with towering trees offering a canopy of shade. This thoughtful landscaping adds a touch of serenity, making it an ideal spot for individuals seeking solace from the demands of city life. The lush greenery not only contributes to the aesthetic appeal but also serves as a lung of fresh air in the heart of Lagos. Families frequent visit the park, transforming it into a lively hub of activity. Children's laughter resonates from the playground, where swings and slides provide endless entertainment. Picnic areas dotted around the park offer a perfect setting for families and friends to gather, share meals, and create lasting memories. Fitness enthusiasts find ample space to engage in outdoor activities, from jogging to yoga. The open expanses provide a canvas for individuals to pursue their health and wellness goals amidst a natural backdrop. However, the addition of more fitness amenities or dedicated spaces could further enhance the park's appeal to health-conscious visitors. While the park boasts a commendable ambiance, some areas may benefit from additional amenities. Clean restroom facilities and perhaps a café or kiosk could elevate the overall experience, ensuring visitors have access to essential comforts during their stay. In conclusion, Johnson Jakande Park offers a welcome retreat for residents and visitors alike. Its harmonious blend of nature and recreational spaces creates a versatile environment suitable for various activities. With a few thoughtful enhancements, this park could undoubtedly solidify its place as a premier destination for relaxation and community engagement in the heart of Lagos. Despite this, Johnson Jakande Park stands as a commendable haven for those seeking a tranquil retreat in the heart of Lagos.

The fun fact about this place is that it's free and you can bring food and drinks in. However, parking spots are very limited. I think if you'll be staying for a while you'll just have to park at ICM, which is a few minutes away from the park. I had a picnic there, and I enjoyed myself. No disturbance from the security officials or touts. It's also a secured place. PS: be sure to go when the weather is cool. Or else? 😹

Jakande Park is one of the well managed, neat and spacious parks in Lagos. It's totally free if you are visiting alone. Visiting in groups with food and stuff will require payment. Also, you'd need to pay about 2k for a mat in case you want to sit down for a picnic. We were there for paint and sip and we had a good time.

The park has a really fascinating view with large span area of land having very green grass. I love love the greens, it's so 'naturful'! ( haha, if there's a word as such- anyways, I coined this.) Has lots of kids-friendly activities and well maintained toilets and space as well. It is free-entry for every one (except otherwise). It has sheds located at random places for indoor settings or group events. Mats are available for rent and bringing snacks, food or drinks is allowed. There's a tuck shop where different edible items are sold as well in case you couldn't bring any. As much as it's children-friendly, it's adults-friendly as well. You'll be amazed at how much information on African nations are there. In all, the park has a very beautiful scenery for relaxing. (Extra: was so relaxed that I started dozing amidst the children's chatter and noise).

Looking for a low budget place to hang out with friends and family? Search no more! Each time I come here, I don’t want to leave You can go there with your food or junks to munch on. You can also get something to eat there if you don’t want to go through the stress of carrying load . Children would love this park because they have a whole ground to themselves- there are lots of attractions for them. One of the reasons I love this place is because it is big enough to accommodate a lot of people without being stuffy. Most importantly, pictures taken here should be framed😅

Very good place to be. Cool and calm environnement where you could relax, read, work on a project alone and also walk around with your "dulcinée" . Playing ground available for your kids. It's free entry gate fee and you can come along with your food or buy at a restaurant over there. Nice and neat rest restroom too. There is Bird cage with parrots and others...flags of different African countries and statues of Sirs JOHNSON, JAKANDE and TINUBU

This place has an amazing natural scenery. Facts to know:- When you are 10 and more people that intends going there, you have to pay a sum of ₦10,000. This money is to be paid with your Tax Payer ID. The payment will be made at the entrance of the park. (I do not know if payment can be made at the Bank) This payment of ₦10,000 is just for access to the park, and not for the huts/tents. Meaning, you would have to come with a sort of mat or something to spread on the ground. The least amount for tent usage, as at now, and as I know, is ₦40,000. (i.e. occupying the tent). It cost ₦1,000 to rent a mat at the park. The mat is quite large. Digital Camera(s) is not allowed. I think you have to pay to get it in. Food is not sold in the park. You are jot paying to get your food in the park. Glass bottle of drink is not allowed. Fun facts. There are sculptures that makes for a whole new picture experience. There are trees that provide large shade area across the park. There are enough space to park your cars. There is a large cage with quite a lot of beautiful parrots. The toilets are clean. Okay. That will be all. Enjoy and have fun!!😌🌻

The park is the worst place I have ever been. First of all, We paid 70k for ordinary hut without enough tables and chairs, we had to use our money to rent extra chairs and tables. light was not available and no generator. The park needs to plant enough trees to provide shade for people. The water fountain was not working, they don't have enough children games there. I just wonder what they really do with the funds they collected. It's just so bad. No place to buy drinks, pepper soup or suya spot at the location. The only reason am giving them one star is because of their ice- cream, that's the only thing good in the park. It's actually a huge disappointment.

Usually passing through the Park and most times I see it filled with people but never had any reason to be inside the Park. But today I decided to purposely go there and see for myself and Mehn!!! it was absolutely an amazing experience 💯 The PARK is Highly Recommended by all means for any hangout or relaxation of any kind. The environment is very clean, highly secured & safe, children’s playground & friendly, big chessboard game ,a parrot 🦜 to talk to, sitting areas under shelter Incase of rain or too much sun, absolutely picture perfect views, easy to locate either by private or public transport because it’s just by the House Of Assembly entrance behind Alausa Secretariat. POV: I totally had a great time and for people like me that enjoy not too much crowd should visit on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and the { PARK CLOSE by 6pm } The JJT PARK is a place that all Local Government in Lagos should have because with such place around you, you will spend less and have a place to just sit down, relax with friends & family or just alone and just enjoy life as it is… PS: BIG UP’s TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT FOR THE INCREDIBLE PARK & HOPE TO SEE MORE AROUND LAGOS 🌳🖤💯🙏🏽👍🏽

If you need an open space for hangout with friends, a space to spend private time with your partner and family or a place where you just want to be outdoor to relax and catch your breath, then JJT park is the perfect place for you. The scenery is gorgeous, the space is big enough for everyone to do their thing without anyone disturbing the other and the best part is you don't pay a dime if your group is less than 10.

So I was here with my family. And the experience was really worth it. The environment is nice, and guess what guys the toilet is very clean. They do not allow wine or glass inside the park. And entrance is totally free. You can bring your own food. And you can also get from the vendors around. You can come with your mat for picnic and speaker. And if at all you don't want to carry load there have rental services for mat. There are a lot of nice picture spots. Just come prepared cause you will take a lot of pictures and get tired. And also it is kids friendly Totally a 10 over 10

When we got there, we were not allowed inside. The securities we met at gate of park said it is not open for the public because of the pandemic meanwhile there was a party going on in the park🙄🙄🙄. Their Social media handler should have put up a notice prior to this day to notify people not to come to the park that day🤨. It was really a lot of stress coming all the way with children and not to be able to enter the park while they were actually having a party inside.

The Johnson Jakande Tinubu park, otherwise known as JJT park is a beauty to behold. Located smack dab in front of the government house, it is a refreshing sight to behold. The well manicured lawns, the beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs. The children playground, the bird cage comprising of beautiful birds of different feathers. The chess board, the cute little gazebos and the big ones, the food shed and the most scenic fountain... The best part, its free!!! Except when you are in a group of more than 15 people.

This place gave me chills when I walked in. Its clean and fresh. Its even better cos the entrance is free! They're very strict with the closing time though, they started chasing us out at 61:0pm but go early so you can have all the fun. I love the water fall, it was fun to watch. Good place for picnics, pre-wedding photo shoots, family day out..... you'd love it. Oh my God, the flags!!! The idea of setting up flags of different countries in a circle surrounding the big statue of great men is just awesome. I love the scenery. You could get a clear view of the "political zone " I mean the governor's area. It didn't look like Lagos at all... I liked the parrots as well, they were cute.

Still a bubbling park on weekends... Spacious with about ten huts. Now the park is free for individuals to use, meet and hangout. But you will be billed if you are around 20 upwards. As well as pay for anything you will be using, like public address system. The park open by 10am and closes 6pm. The rest rooms are okay... And they have ample parking lot for your cars. The only thing that I dislike about here is maintenance... The edifice are getting rotten now... No sign of constant maintenance... The bulbs, the fountain ⛲ etc

It was a public holiday I visited. The security men told us that if we were more than 10, we are to pay 10,000 naira even if we were just 11. So, from 10persons above, we get to pay. It's a great place for shoots, for a nice family time, couples time and friends hangout. Taking Uber or a Ride down will be easier. Also, if you can't afford that, if you take a bus down to secretariat from either berger or coming from the Island you can trek down to the park.

It's really a nice park! Free entry, you get to take your food and drinks inside but you can't take in anything that comes in glass bottle like wines. It's always crowd on weekends and holidays so if you need some privacy, don't go there during those days. They close by 5pm. So set your timing right. But overall the environment is clean lovely and you can chikl here with your friends, family. Anybody... Very nice park.. I repeat, it's free entry, don't be scammed by anybody.

This is an amazing place for a Hangout. Accessibility, I took my time to go round the place and it is as accessible as they come, Ramps next to steps so wheelchair can easily be moved around there, the Restrooms also have wheel chair entrance and toilets for physically challenged persons(You can go through pictures I uploaded), I must say I am impressed ♿♿ About the timing it is opened between 0800 to 1800, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks and have a picnic with friends and family..... My main issue is that it is managed by government and not private companies, well let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best (Even though most Nigerians like myself are usually persimists when it comes to Government managing something ☹️) The Ambience is beautiful there are sections for the kids (Bouncing Castles and the likes) and Tents with anyone can use freely. All in All it's a beautiful place for a nice Hangout

Very serene environment where you can organise a get together with family and friends. The name is a combination of the last names of of 3 past leaders of Lagos State where it is located - Mobolaji Johnson, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. You have to come with your refreshments too..

Its quite a large place and can be fun too. It is really children friendly thus having a fun playground. It also has a child friendly toilet. It has though few a kiosk-like eatery/shops having a variety of edibles suitable for a park. Its really accommodating and fair with the pricing. The only down for me is the overboard restrictions that could restrict party planning to some extent. Otherwise, its a beautiful place to have a partial hangout.

Well situate in the central business district of Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The environment is serene and easily accessible. Any gathering involving more than three person would need to be booked ahead with the admin. There is a strict adherence to covid-19 protocols at the gate; though, upon entry it's a case of "vibes and inshallah". Overall, it is a good place for the family at no entry cost; it is advisable not to visit in the afternoons or on sunny days.

Great place to chill, relax and "re-energize". A family themed park in the centre of Ikeja for family and individuals around Magodo, Ikeja, Berger, Ketu, Maryland and environs. You are not allowed to come in with drinks in "glass bottles", but you can come in with drinks in plastic, pep bottle etc.

The place is nice for picnic, outdoor social activities and for lovers looking for open space talk. But most of the beautiful features that makes the place distinctive is not functioning, e.g The fountain. It needs proper maintenance and restructuring. I will give the place 5/10 overall

The early hours are good for meditation and yoga just remember to bring your own mat or rent at a high token. There's a playground for kids as well. However they should provide more seatings and parking rather than asking for fees for everything. It's supposed to be a public PARK!

A great outdoor spot to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature with your family, friends, and loved ones. Entry is free, if you're more than 10 people you have to pay. You are allowed to go with your edibles and all your things except for harmful items such as glass, bottles, etc.

This place is a great place to flex. It's a lovely relaxation centre where one can come to relax during the holidays. It has sights like the Johnson, Jakande and Tinubu's head statues, a sight where one can see parrots and songbirds, a relaxation point where family and friends can have a gist. Sights where flags of a lot of countries can be seen is available too. To use all these, a group of people required to pay a little amount of money while for individuals or families of about five members can use the facilities for free.

It’s a really lovely environment. The best part is that it’s free and very well maintained. Suitable for picnics and hangout with friends. You can also book for tents and pay if you desire something more private. A plus would be Ikeja city mall that’s a stones throw away. You can get food for picnics from there! Overall, it’s a wonderful experience. A bit of a downside, only a select few tents have sockets for charging your devices.

It's a nice spot for group relaxation, family hangouts or team bonding. It has cool spots for kids with play zone, mini zoo, face painting, nice tents or hut like canopy with table and chairs for you to sit in and unwind. Entry is free, you can come in with your foods, drinks, music etc or you can also buy from the on prem restaurant (I can assua you it's a one spot for all you can eat and drink 😁) . The COVID-19 safety precautions were strictly adhered to at point of entry. The Eyo walk path and fountain has been bad for a while and needs to be urgently fixed.

It's a great park. However, I'll advise advise you go there with your own mats, if you don't have, you can rent 1 for #1000 at the park. Check the weather forecast for the day, you don't want to be here when it's raining. You can access the park for free, however if you're coming as a group, you'll pay #10,000. This 10k is just for access, nothing extra. If you need a canopy, you can rent, I heard one of their huts is like 120k.

It is a government owned park just by the Lagos State House of assembly. It has a children play area, chalets and lawns and a perfect place for picnics, hangouts and social meeting. You can go into the park with your food, snacks & drinks but breakable items, bottled beverages and knives are not allowed. Also there are marts where you can purchase refreshments and drinks in the park. Entry fee is free for groups less than 10 persons. If more than, you'll have to inform the park management before use and pay some service charges.

First park I’ve been to that is at least 50% of what parks should look like. It is directly beside the Lagos State house of Assembly and opposite the Ndubisi Kanu park as well. Cars are not let in but you can bring your food, drinks and ice for free although you may have to pay a token if your group is more than 20 people. We paid 10k to some guy inside. I don’t know if that is an official rate too. We also met groups of people scattered in different corners of the park with their mats and refreshments. You can also rent mats and there are light refreshments around. It is usually full during weekends, public holidays and school breaks. This could be a place to read a book, spend time alone with God or with a partner at zero to no cost. If your body reacts to insects, please wear protective clothing like popsocks.

Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park is a nice place for hangout with friends. I've been here about five times, and each experience has been nice. Mats can be rented (they're actually necessary because ants are heavily present, I guess that comes with it being a flora outdoor place; I'm not sure but if they can use pesticides to eradicate or reduce their presence, that'll be nice.) The park isn't too loud, even though there's mostly music playing. The scenery is also good, but it'll be beneficial if they can incorporate more free to access games for guests. An ideal spot for picnics!
