Wakame is amazing! It is located inside the Marriot hotel and serves authentic Asian cuisine with love and attention to detail. You can choose to eat ala carte or do the buffet which happens every Sunday afternoon. Personally, I prefer the buffet because you get to try out Thai, Chinese, Indian and other Asian foods in one sitting. Be sure to come hungry :)

I give it 3 stars Because of various reasons which I will elaborate below . I will rate all services and meals separately. The Ambiance of the restaurant is a breath of fresh Air ! It feels new , it feels positive, it feels like you are in a really upscale environment which is no mean task in the middle of mainland Ikeja . Kudos to the design team , they pulled it off ! The waiter was polite , eager and extremely attentive. He made sure at all stages to be available for any service or critiques. Appetizer- 1. Tempura Octopus ( 03 out of 10) Octopus was rubbery , over cooked and it was a complete disaster . It hurts to eat . 2. Tempura Prawns (09 out of 10) Cooked to perfection. Flavored beautifully!! 3. Pork pan seared Gyoza (08 out of 10) Flavor burst ! Loved them . Main Course 1. Lamb Rogan Josh ( 07 out of 10) Soft succulent lamb but probably was not cooked in the curry in itself was prepped separately, hence lacked the flavor that you get out of a long simmering curry which Rogan Josh is , was missing. 2. Garlic Nan ( 05 out of 10) I wrote this as a separate item because it is a separate order , RIDICULOUS!!! So what am I supposed to eat with the curry ? Too thin extremely overpriced, and too little ! Desert 1. Matcha Cake with Coconut icecream(02outof10) Utter disappointment, total disregard to plating , the cake was warmed in a cup and had separated itself from the cups edges and looked ugly , tasted ugly ! Waste of calories and Money . Drinks 1. Spicy Ginger and Vodka 2. Coconut based mock tail They were okay . In total , I had a lot of expectations but I am disappointed. It’s expensive but I do not mind paying the money if the food is worth it , In this case with this experience it wasn’t .

Very lovely place. Nice ambience. You can stay inside or outside. Food is good. Rice portions are a bit small in my opinion. What I didn't like? Having to slide open the huge sliding door.

Loved the place...it's located inside Marriott Hotel, that's my only ick.. but aside from that, it's simply amazing. Though you can get into the restaurant without a reservation, it's best you book one, though. Everyone was very professional, and the food tasted great. Also very friendly to disabled people too..as they have ramps and flat surfaces to aid movement

Food was delicious, takes time to get your food but once you get it you will be dancing! Portions are small and tapas setting.

The service, the ambience, and the food were good, though a bit much of ginger in the meals. The delivery times of between meals were also very good. No long wait for food or in between dishes.

The ambiance and aesthetics of the restaurant is top notch. If that’s what you’re after then you’ll be pleased. The food isn’t the best…not bad but I’ve tasted better meals for the price they’re offering. The Tempura Prawns was so good..totally recommend..you can tell the chef really did his thing kudos but the meals are too little Staffs were amazing..the waiter took his time explaining the menu, loved that. Great parking space btw

Had a lovely time with family for the Iftar menu. It didn’t make five stars because of the temperature in there. At some point we were sweating. For a restaurant with an open kitchen, one will expect a perfect cooling system. I do not know if this is deliberate though. Overall food- for someone who is trying Asian for the first time, is very enjoyable. We just couldn’t not eat the soup. Not because it wasn’t nice but because I’ll rather used it as stock to make spaghetti at home. Lol. I very recommend.
