ENVIRON: The park was clean, and well managed. It’s also really big so there’s enough space for quite a number of people. There’s provision for a few bouncing castles and other stuff to keep kids busy. PRICING: Entry fee to the premises is N500 per head ENTERTAINMENT: You are allowed to bring in your own snacks and food, but there are also vendors available just incase you don’t. There is music in the park and it’s loud enough so you don’t have to come with your own speakers. PHOTOS: It’s a really beautiful place and you can get really nice photos here. PS: - Bottled drinks are not allowed Will I visit a second time ? 💯

Great place for picnic with friends and family. They also have amazing amenities for children to play around with. I love the atmosphere, very Cool and the natural wind blowing at the park is heavenly. I also love the fact that they follow strictly the COVID-19 safety procedure. So if you need a budget friendly for you and your friend to hang out, this is the best place to go. You're allowed to bring in your own food and drink too. Adult are just to pay a token fee of #500, while children are to pay #1000.

Entry is free on normal days except festive periods. Talk about trees and their coolness, you'll find the atmosphere really welcoming. I like that you get that natural freshness and breeze from the trees and heck yes, it's children-friendly! Saw a couple of school children with their school teachers having the time of their life. Cool for your alone moment, studying, mediation anything as well as suitable for a group hangout or picnic. The grass aren't grass-ing enough though. There's need to irrigate and maintain green grass in some places. Some renovation will do the park some good. In all, it's an escape from everything busy and tiredness.

The park is spacious and has a refreshing green scenery. I love the fact they have a kiddies place section. Trust the kids to have an amazing time. You can come in with your picnic accessories and food stuff at no extra cost. Though they have a few vendors selling food. As of this time (April 2023), if you don't have picnic mats, you can rent N1,500 for small mats and N2k for bigger mats. As a good of more than 10, ticket goes for about N1k per person. Parking fee is N200 for the day.

entry is free for groups of 6 or less (it’s 1,000 naira for groups of 7 or more). it’s the perfect spot for your picnic!! there are large tree branches for shade when it’s too hot, park benches to sit on if you don’t want to sit on your blanket and some places to eat right inside. the bathrooms are also neat and clean. the guard was a little mean but it’s fine. apparently no one above 8 (i think) is allowed on the swings or playground. it’s also a cute spot to take pictures. perfect for family gatherings, day out with friends or alone time with yourself

Cool and well managed. The location is also very serene and good for organised or group team outings. You can bring your food here but bottles are not allowed. For some gatherings you might need pre approval before the day of use. Theybhave good car parking arrangements with security to watch over the vehicles bit take note you will pay a token around 500ngn per vehicle. Gate fee is free and they have good theme park area for kids. This park is usually very busy during major holidays and weekend.

Beautiful park on Mobolaji Johnson Avenue not so far from Grandsquare supermarket. Entry is free except for days that events are going on, although parking isn’t free (200/250 naira I think). There are vendors there selling food and all, there’s a basketball court and chairs around where people can sit and relax. There’s free WiFi.

A government owned park run by LASPARK just opposite the popular JJT Park by the state government house. It is has free entry and a little bit wide. It's good for kids as they have a separate playground. Free WiFi. Car park costs 200 naira. Easy entry and exit with security monitoring.

This place is beautiful. Calm especially in the early hours of the morning. It can be busy during festive periods and they charge once you are in groups a minimum of 1,000 per head. There are different spots for relaxing, eating, playing games. It's beautiful.

Visiting the park was a serene escape into nature's embrace. The lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and well-maintained pathways created an enchanting atmosphere. Families picnicking, children playing, and the soothing sounds of birds added to the park's charm. The well-designed amenities, including benches and recreational areas, catered to various preferences. The park's cleanliness and eco-friendly initiatives were commendable. However, a broader variety of plant species could enhance its biodiversity. Overall, my visit was a delightful experience, offering a peaceful retreat from urban hustle. It's an ideal spot for relaxation, leisurely strolls, and reconnecting with nature.

This is an amazing free park located at the heart of Ikeja, near Alausa. Getting there, there was no problem finding a packing space. Entry was free, and you are allowed to come in with your food and drink items. You should also come with a mat, because there are not enough sits for everyone. The facilities is also filled with swings and many other children attractions; children love it. Lest I forget, there is a basketball court and a mini zoo with a beautiful creature that I have only seen on television; a squirrel 🐿️😀

It's a big park, it has a lot of provision for children, there are swings and other playground equipments. It's a really good place to hang out and have a picnic or if you just want to relax and stare at nature. They have food vendors within the park so not to worry about food. You are required to enter with a fask mask and you sign in and out of the park.

Lovely park for children and family. It’s free upon entry but you need to pay N200 for parking. The narrow parking area can get really full quickly on a busy day. There aren’t so many rides for children as such but you can bring in your mats and food and soak it out in the sun. There are also mini food shops in the park. Would love for more swings for children and benches for Adult.

If you want to enjoy party vibe without invitation, visit the park weekends ,you will thank me later and if you want to have sober reflection, I would recommend you visit the park week days especially Mondays or Thursdays. Also ,it's a good place to meet for all kinds of meetings, it will only cost you #200 for parking space.

Really liked being here. It's serene.... Until the noise from an event starts and then you want to be out of there in a flash. The staff are super nice and helpful. Was there with the kids for a shoot and they Were really helpful. There's not along of bells and whistles but it's a pretty space with just enough aesthetics (playground and a working fountain)

Great relaxation spot for children and adults. During festive periods, entry fee for children is 1000 naira (they have amenities for children)and 500naira for adults. Few minutes before 6pm, someone begins to blow a whistle for people to leave (whether it's raining or not😮‍💨). It rained seriously the day I went.

It was a nice place to visit. It's free to enter but if you go as a group of more than 10, you have to pay a fee of #10,000. It's a nice place for a picnic on a day that it isn't raining. They don't have enough shades so a picnic wouldn't work on a rainy day. There are a few animals for sightseeing as well. They also have a children's playground so I'd recommend here for little kids. Overall it's an okay park.

This place is a park located around Ikeja secretariat, named Ndubusi Kanu Park. It's kids friendly and it's a great place for families to visit. The entrance is free of charge, it's opened to everyone both old and young, adults and children, male and female. Everything inside the park is free to access, from the swing and everything on the children play ground, to the Gazzibos, to seeing the animals at the mini zoo, to the sitting arena, to using the bathroom, etc. To park your car you'd have to pay N200 and its fully secured. Ndubusi Kanu park, Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria has alot of thrilling activities and things in it, which are : the mini zoo, children playground (which has swings, bouncing castle, and so much more fun games), Gazzibos where one can have a get together, beautiful lawn for picnic, rotunda, Multipurpose court and of course the rest room to ease your self when you're pressed. This place is wheelchair accessible and their car parks are wheelchair accessible too. This park is opposite Lagos State governor's office and behind Lagos State park. A few minutes drive from Ikeja city mall.

As a lover of museum and galleries, this spot was just okay. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable about the history and songs of Fela Kuti. A musical political activist. However, it would have been nice to have some of his music playing in the background for those who knew little about this Nigerian legend. Also he was the only one working so he was up and down between the tour. It's definitely a good stoo if you're keen to know about Fela without reading it up on a Wikipedia page. There's a rooftop bar where one can have drinks and souvenir shop at the bottom if you need a cool tee. They do have a better opportunity of living up the spaces as they feel dead and decaying. Maybe better lighting and a paintwork. But that's just my opinion. For a die hard fan, I hear you could come at night and experience music and dance with other Fela fans. (to be confirmed, I'd call to ask when they host these festivals)

The New Afrika Shrine is an open air entertainment centre located in Ikeja, Lagos State. It serves as the host location of the annual Felabration music festival. Currently managed by Femi Kuti (eldest son of Fela Kuti) and Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti, it is the replacement of the old Afrika Shrine created in 1970 by Fela Kuti until it was burnt down in 1977The New Afrika Shrine showcases photo galleries of Fela and music performances by Femi Kuti and Seun Kuti thus making it a tourist attraction.

Second best Park at Ikeja definitely… Free entry for all, children’s play ground, clean calm coordinated environment and atmosphere for picnics… Basketball court, sitting areas under shades in case of rain, walk path, clean grass and very accessible coming from any part of Lagos with parking space… Sincerely the PARK is absolutely cool for a good calm & cool family/friends timeout or even alone timeout just to breathe, relax & unwind🧘 But they close by 5:30pm!!!

It's a nice park for relaxing in Lagos. Just tucked away behind ShopRite Alausa, depending on which direction you are coming from. You could find nice materials from various vendors. Fountains, bouncing castles and a spacious relaxing atmosphere are some of the things you'd enjoy. There's something for adults and kids. You'd just want there to be more protection for the kids. Security is somewhat relaxed. You might need to be vigilant not to lose stuff.

The park is okay. I love that it has a lot of trees. The trees act as a shed for the benches so you don't need to worry too much about the sun on a hot day. Entering the park was free but I went for an outdoor shoot and I had to pay #2500. But 2500 gets you 1 hour worth of photo session. I found that pricey esp because I wanted to do a longer shoot. The staff were not the most polite as well. But they can be ignored. Coke was sold for 150 instead of the usual 100 naira. That was the only thing my friend purchased so I can't tell you about the price of things there. You can have a picnic there heard you need permits. Again I can't tell how you go about getting this permit. Maybe due to COVID but kids were not allowed to play in the swing(cant remember for the game is called so I will go with swing). If I were to compare the ambiance of to that of JJT, I would choose that over Ndubisi Kanu Park however overall it okay to relax, have a picnic or have a photo shoot.

I think it's one of the best, if not the best park we have in Lagos. The trees give the best shades from the hot afternoon sun.

  • 4/5 Ackin . 3 years ago on Google
Heard about this place before this visit but I didn't know it would amaze me like it did. The space was cozy enough with leg space and roaming grounds. The playground was locked and barred from entry due to the COVID-19 restrictions. There were signs of low maintenance visible but it could be saved with due and fast attention. The bird cage or mini zoo was a good side attraction, especially for the kids, but it could do with a bit of stocking and upgrading. A guide or bird handler won't be a bad idea to educate the kids and adults about the birds. The restrooms were bad. Apparently there wasn't water available. Not sure if it is a recurrent thing but if you are visiting this place, make sure you have it at the back of your mind that the restrooms might not be something you want to use. There was parking space but a huge surge in visitors might overwhelm abail ale parking space. All in all, this is a great place to hangout with family and friends.

  • 5/5 Olori h. 3 years ago on Google
It's a good fun place for kids, atleast the kids enjoyed the 1hour spent there. I hope they would consider adult gaming equipments too, I wanted to go on the train. The toilets (adult-female) are a mess, there was water all over the floors. There was nobody managing the toilets (kids and adults alike). I visited on Sunday 27/12/2020

The N.K Park is a cool location to hang out with Family and Friends. Great place for a picnic, get together and reunion. It could also pose as a spot for two love birds during the off peak season. Based on my enquiries from the staff of the park, you don't get to pay if you're 6-7 or less. However, you'd have access to no special spot, just the lawn. I had loads of fun today at the park with some friends! 💃🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽💃🏽🤸🏽‍♂️

Just a park. Not a bad place but nothing extraordinary either. There’s supposed to be a mimi eat out on the left end from the enterance but it’s currently not working. They’re adequately taking COVID cautions which is the right things to do. The park is free by the way and I think parks are one of the safest things to do this period.

It was very very lovely. There wasn't enough shade but the trees were a good makeshift. Love that the utilities were clean and well maintained. Entry is also free which is just amazing tbh. There's enough space for family, friends, parties and major events. Top-notch!

  • 3/5 Oluwatobi A. 3 years ago on Google
Serene and beautiful environment. However, the maintainance practice is rather poor as many of the facilities are in desperate need of repair. The animal cage is missing more animals than it has. The fountain was dry.

Entry fee is free and you can bring in your food and drinks as well (food and drinks are also available here). It's a nice place with many side attractions for kids. Went during the festive period. We paid entrance fee of 500 naira per head and between 500 to 1k for some activities inside the park. They allow you to bring your own item 7 and food is also sold there.

  • 4/5 Samuel A. 2 years ago on Google
As much as the ambience of the park is inviting and a nice place to chill off, there's need for intentional green grass boosting and the irrigation system to keep the grass green should remain active. However, it's a nice place to hang out with friends and family. Unfortunately, the only annoying thing is the car park space, though the fee is #200 but a park like that should have a parking space to enable car owners good time knowing they can park without problem

  • 4/5 Kunle S. 2 years ago on Google

It's neat, the day I went. I did not pay for gate fee, so I don't know if it's always like that. My little one enjoyed himself because he was running around. It has a basketball court, great for photoshoots, small gathering of any type of party. And also a serene environment for reading, meditation, but you will have to go when there are no festivities.

Great place for picnics, just don’t be more than ten people or else the security will disturb you for a permit (says it costs 10k)

  • 5/5 Omolola B. 1 year ago on Google
There was no payment made at the entrance since it has been booked ahead for the get together. Children have different activities to choose from. Playing with swings, castles, sight seeing the mini zoo(it has mainly birds though). There's lot of open space to host a party or just a picnic. Oh by the way, there's a wide parking area and you only have to pay N200 to park. I enjoyed my time there

The place is very nice but I believe a review is necessary on the pricing some of the vendors put on commodities. Irrespective of the situation of the country ,during festive periods some of the vendors overrate their goods.
