First of all, the location is superb! I live on the mainland, so Ikeja Gra is just perfect for me. The proximity is second to none. The building is quite modern, it's aesthetically pleasing. But one thing I noticed is that they don't have enough parking. Parking should have been put into consideration while building. Sort of like an underground parking. Better still, they can look for a plot around and assign for parking, then maybe provide a shuttle to take guests to and fro.

My stay was satisfying, had a friend from Abuja for a conference and had to stay with her. From the security guards to concierge, mostly all the staff were welcoming. Very good location! I didn't want to leave lol

My stay at Shoregate Hotel was superb! The location near both the local and international airports was so convenient. The room was spotless, and the surrounding environment was simply beautiful. I highly recommend it!

Easily one of the better affordable hotels on lagos mainland. Location is excellent, rooms are very decent and service is quite good too. Only thing I’d hope they would work on is the quality of their Wi-Fi… it’s really poor. An hotel that nice should do better.

The staff are friendly, respectful, courteous and love their job . Clean environment, the ambience is very serene and beautiful for that weekend gateways with family or friends .For business meetings, Shoregate will give an unforgettable experience. The have pool side and a gym. I will recommend that the gym be open to outsiders ,if not is a waiste of machines because it is under utilized and a waiste of space. Except the management wants to use the space for something else? I met the gyn Instructor and learnt a new thing from him,his experienced, and I wonder if the management understands what value he can bring to the system with all the knowledge he has? Management please look into your gym and utilize the machines and space you have to give value to people who wants to live healthier and happier lifestyle. Thank you for what you do! Also utilize your gym instructor, he has a lot upstairs. This is my first time here and I will surely come back.

Lovely Rooms (I stayed in the executive suite). Meals are a bit pricey but very tasty. Bathroom is very neat with an lovely folding door. Only issues I had were the bed that is low as well as springy and the water pressure from the shower which is not strong enough. Finally they have very courteous staff.

Last weekend, I graced Shoregate Hotels with my presence, and what an experience it was! Ọmọ 😍 From the grand entrance to the flawless service, every moment felt like a scene from a royal narrative. Shoregate transcends expectations and delivered a 100% performance in hospitality that will be etched in my memories forever.

Another world class experience - their breakfast is 'a look forward to' time.. giving both local and continental dishes on the table with variety on the local menu for each day of the week. Also freshly cut fruits for a balanced meal. I enjoyed my stay and recommend to anyone new in town. A home away from home πŸ‘

We booked the deluxe rooms. They were comfortable, the mattress and pillows were soft but firm, the bathroom ok, nothing fantastic. We had a good night's rest. The rooms could do with a little upgrade though. The food we ordered in the menu were delicious, the prices were reasonably and portion was good too. The staff on duty at the front desk, the porter and the restaurant staff when we checked in were courteous, helpful and friendly. The staff on duty at the restaurant during breakfast the next morning however, were rude.

I had a great and wonderful experience that paralleled most developed countries hotels. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have all the amenities that make it cosy. I was wowed with there buffet breakfast which is comprehensive and timely. It comforted and suited my dawn feelings as at the days I stayed there. Ultimately, the location and security of the hotel is superb. It would continually be my home away from home. CHIKAODI ONYEUKWU.

If you're looking for a posh, cozy, calm and safe environment, then this is the place to visit. Very active Porters and Guest Service Attendants, their food is also nice. They however need to address the long wait for food after an order has been placed either at the restaurant or room service.

Great ambience, great for proximity. Breakfast makes sense, but food from their restaurant is a complete waste of money... it's a no-no for me.

My experience in this hotel was splendid, quite a view if you love site viewing, the rooms are cool. It has an elevator if U want to save yourself the stress of climbing the stairs. Camera footages everywhere too. Great place to relax or host business meetings.

Overall verdict: will stay here again when visiting Lagos. Pros: great location in Ikeja GRA, close to most things one would need (restaurants, shops, Banks/ATMs, bars etc), nice decor throughout the rooms and lounge areas, quiet rooms insulating one from the Lagos roads' noise, 24/7 electricity which switches over to back-up power in about 30 seconds when needed (satellite TV stays on, so one never experiences total darkness), central A/C cools effectively, with the complimentary breakfast for one, there is a good choice on the buffet (Nigerian and Western) from 6:30- to 9:30am, nice lounge areas to entertain visitors, small but nice-looking swimming pool and professional & friendly staff. Cons: patchy internet access (I augmented with mobile phone data), small parking space for the hotel size and function (I used the Bolt app to move around Lagos removing need for a car), swimming pool area lacked a social atmosphere, restaurant prices were too high (I ate at the many nice restaurants around GRA), gym had a number of equipment that were not functional.

I was at the restaurant and the ambience was not overwhelming at all. Nice, quiet and relaxing. The food is also great just take your pick from the menu. Although, your choice might not always be available.

Wasn't too impressed with their food, waiter didn't know the menu, food wasn't tasty, had to send my drink back cos a virgin Pina colada was sour(it was replaced) and presentation was wanting as well. Rooms are okay though. Review is solely on a trip to the restaurant

Spent a few nights there with my wife and the experience was okay. The room was kinda small but kudos to the design guys, they made good use of their space. The food was mostly good, but the taste wasn't consistent. The staff were courteous!

A lovely beautiful Hotel. The rooms are really cozy Standard rooms. The staff were very professional and that's something you always notice. The parking spots are also limited but I imagine that's not unique to the hotel, probably plenty other places in GRA have the same problem. But other than that, it's a really good experience

  • 5/5 Olaoluwa O. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful place to be... All the staff were very warm, receptive, courteous and very helpful. There was never a downtime in electricity and the cable TV service had variety of stations to choose from... something for every age group to watch

Shoregate hotel offers great value for the price. It's a budget hotel for middle income earner who needs a decent place to lodge. Their restaurant is affordable and offers local and continental dishes. The hotel has limited parking.

Dodo is on fleek here... A Lil bit pricey but its good. I don't understand what all the plants are doing in the stew but it was okay. Pricing is a Lil pricey too but the view seems worth it. Stations are limited so don't go hoping for a viewing...

Had a reservation and got there by 10 under my name only to be told after I was kept waiting at the front desk for 20 minutes that my room was given out by a non chalant front desk officer. It is the WORST service I have every experienced nothing even comes close. How do you stand up a guest by that late hour with a confirmed reservation. It was shameful. The best part is - no apologies were offered. Instead the consolatory words were offered to my colleague who was made the reservation for me. I was unimportant. Shame shame shame. I just read your response which doubled down on the shabby treatment I received. I made the reservation along with three of my colleagues. Two checked in. Both of them confirmed to you that I was on my way. You called me by 9pm when I was on the flight and I clearly stated that I got in by 10pm. Please when are reservations void? Even when my colleagues told you I was coming? Not good enough

I spent a few days of my honeymoon here. We had a pleasant time save for a few issues with the availability of the pressing iron and tight parking space (πŸ˜’) Lol! But the food was AMAZING!! We found ourselves always looking forward to the breakfast buffet and we miss the food till this day. The Customer Service was also top notch. We had a wonderful stay and we would definitely be back. I highly recommend, Cheers!

Visited a friend (bride) in her hotel room in the morning of her engagement ceremony. Loved the room setting and beautiful bathroom fixture.

  • 5/5 Ofuma A. 2 years ago on Google
From the outside, you would not want to give it a five-star rating; but once inside, there are visible justifications to attempt to do so. Clean, attractive, cost, and comfortable, you will begin to feel at home right from the reception. Nice wooden and other artworks will appeal to the art lover and arty visitor. Then rooms ain't bad too. Although you will see other hotels around it, giving off a competitive signal around that area, they are pretty busy and seem to have loyal patronage.

Reception-Amazing Staff-Professional Ambience and Photo studio potential 100% Used the conference hall 2 for an event for Multibank Fx and I loved the fact clients felt like royalty Mr Power is amazing too. Smith the best attendant I've ever come across. Add extra 5stars. If you want to hold business events and seminars I totally recommend. I didn't try the rooms tho.sorry

Fairly decent room size but there is room for improvement (no pun intended). The room I stayed was an upgrade from another hotel close by but leaves a lot to be desired - wall paper was badly done or was coming off. Maybe this is just β€œLagos standard”.

  • 4/5 Kingsley 'Kessy' A. 2 years ago on Google
Okay rooms and nice staff. A bit pricey probably because of the location. Parking space is an issue sometimes - too many cars choking the entrance with a lot of hassles to drive in and out. Breakfast is nice but for a single person and 6k extra if you got company. Good experience though.

  • 4/5 Kelechi A. 2 years ago on Google
I have stayed in the hotel three times between 2017 and 2021 and it is same feedback. Very cool ambience, warm staff and neat rooms. I would gladly refer someone.

  • 1/5 Dele O. 2 years ago on Google
The outside of the hotel looked nice, but it desperately needs an upgrade on the inside. The second room we booked came in partially cleaned and we had to wait a long time for it to become available. We were told "they are sold out" when we escalated to the front desk. Several things went wrong, and another concern is only having one key card per room despite having two people. The shower in our room took forever to drain. In summary, not a good experience.

  • 4/5 Esther M. 2 years ago on Google
Great ambience, excellent atmosphere, neat rooms however the bed feels more like a water bed and some of their breakfast buffet menu were bland. Danger of getting bored of the food on day 2 exists.

  • 5/5 Elumah L. 2 years ago on Google

  • 4/5 Ciprian N. 1 year ago on Google
Clean rooms but a bit noisy because of the central AC. Water pressure is also in need of improvement. I know we all move with different speeds but to wait for two hours for your dinner to arrive in the restaurant and afterwards to be given an explanation that they are serving the room service first... But location is perfect and the place looks generally good.

  • 3/5 Fortune E. 2 years ago on Google
Hotel was nice, was there with my wife last year November. While I had somewhat good experience, my only complaint has to do with bed. The beds need to be changed. They all sank and we felt like the bed wanted swallow us like in those horror movie flicks. Also we had position in ourselves in some type of way to enjoy the bed-gymnastics (if you know what I mean). Also there is no ventilation in the bathroom, I think an extractor needs to be fixed in there.

  • 5/5 Funke A. 1 year ago on Google
The interior and ambience is way better than what you expect coming in to the building. The rooms are neat and well lit The only down side is it takes a while for the generating set to kick on once their is a power switch. Location is barely 10mina drive to the international Airport without traffic. Lots of restaurants around too

  • 5/5 MegaPrincy S. 1 year ago on Google
Courteous staff from the front desk to the bar man and the waiters. Parking space was spacious and easy to access. The artworks used to design the whole space gives it so much wealth and beauty. The cleanliness of the whole area including the restrooms. The food was good. It was so much that it was difficult to finish it. But for people who eat a lot, it might not be anything to be concerned about. Every meal was made in less than an hour and served fresh. The ambience of the hotel was quiet and serene which was my highlight.

  • 4/5 Onalo D. 1 year ago on Google
Loved my stay here. Their staff are very warm and were ready to help out to make my stay comfortable and convenient. The only challenge I had was that the shower in my bathroom was leaking and water wasn't flowing properly, the way it should have. But overall, it's a great place for a getaway.
