You can get fresh stuff here. It's not a bad place. Around where vehicles are loading to Calabar, you can also get some things there too. So if you're there and wished to head to calabar, you can ask for the bus stop at Urua Ekpa and you'll get vehicles a bit cheaper than the main transport parks.

If you're visiting Urua Ekpa for the first time, expect to see a lot of hustle and bustle going on especially at the bus stop. The busiest hours are around evening and night, where roadside beer parlours are most active, alongside suya spots, fruits sales, tricycle and motorcycle shuttles and of course the main street that leads to the small market is usually crowded with people. From Urua Ekpa bus stop, you can get to plaza or walk across the road to get a tricycle heading to Itam market.

Honestly, I don't get why it's called a Market. A mini market would suffice. The only thing mostly sold here are ingredients for making soup and mostly vegetable soup alongside electronics (weird combination). It's just a cluster of shades but I suppose it serves the people who live close to that area but other than that, nah! Maybe when they expand and sell other stuff then it can be conferred a proper market.

The roads leading to Urua Ekpa from Plaza is very bad. The market is just a local market with petty wares on sale. It will be better to patronize Itam market.

It's better to access the market through its highway road. The road was OK.

The Urua Ekpa market is not dealing on groceries rather they are selling foodstuffs and other perishable foods. Try it out and see for your self.

It's a very small market servicing the locals. Goods are a bit on the high side compared to the larger itam market.

😐 Well, it does seem to have everything one is looking for except turkeys. I wish they'd sell turkeys here the way the sell chickens. Any way I like how it has more businesses on the said market days. The market is ok, small by a general standard but nevertheless ok. You can get most of what you want...
