To celebrate National Onion Ring Day I headed to The Pawn Shop Pub in Broad Ripple. I asked for suggestions and this was the closest to where I needed to go today. I had a friend meet me for lunch. This is her go to place. She brought me beer cheese soup from there for lunch this week and it was good. Today I ordered the breaded tenderloin and the coleslaw. We ordered a plate of onion rings to share. When the food arrived the onion rings were huge and they are served with a side of COCKTAIL SAUCE. The tenderloin and the onion rings had the same breading. As you can see I opted out of a bun which I normally do when I eat a tenderloin and get pickle and onion on the side. The tenderloin was the perfect thickness. Juicy and delicious. I was excited to jump into the onion rings and I wasn’t disappointed. They were cooked all the way through with the onion not being slimy or stringy. The breading had a great crunch and that cocktail sauce. However did that is a genius. I couldn’t stop eating them. I just drank water but my friend had a Bloody Mary. She said it was spicy. They have a full bar. This isn’t a fancy place, just a little neighborhood bar in what looks to be like an old Long John Silvers building. Last note the coleslaw was just a basic one. Nothing exciting. My friend also got the BLT which she enjoyed. What a great place to celebrate National Onion Ring Day. I’d say it was a success! To see more reviews join me on Instagram and Facebook at Jennifeasts.

Best tenderloin in town period. A great little pub off Keystone that is easy to miss but worth the trip. Staff were great, prices were fair and the food was delicious.

Great Pub serving delicious food😋. We had the tenderloin, and it was all that! Our Friday night visit was busy, but the service was great. Fun time had for all. Enjoy! 🍺

I had a house special which was a very good tasting steak with fries. The owner has kept their prices low and should consider raising them a few dollars per plate to get caught up with inflation and their competitors. The hostess and staff were very accommodating and busy the entire time with happy customers while we were there. I will come back again in a "snap" whenever I get a chance!

It's an absolute crime what the current owner has done to this place. The AC was broken with zero air movement. It felt like it was 100 plus degrees. Draft beer was warm and flat Tenderloin tasted like month old fryer oil. Bartenders acted over worked and non appreciated. Shame. This place used to rock.

This place is the best kept secret! I say that because we were invited there for a quick lunch. The people are all so friendly, the staff are nice and the food is really, really good. They definitely cater to their customers with large appetites because the portion of food is generous. So far, I have had the water Buffalo, pub salad, Philly tenderloin, veggie melt, and nachos. I have been there pretty much every day for lunch. It doesn't take long to get food and the prices are great. Sarah is our favorite staff so far. June 4, we had wings and cucumber wrap. I liked the wrap. I just added mayo n ranch and took the green peppers out. Very filling. June 8th, 2023 I had a taste for steak, but I wanted a sandwich, so I asked if the new York strip could be made with the sub bread, and they said YESSS! OMGG, this sandwich was soooo good and juicy. I like my steak rare, and they cooked it perfectly. The cook added cheese, onions, peppers, and mayo. They need to put this on the menu. I could only eat half of it. 😋 Delicioussss! Thank you Pawn shop pub 6/12 chicken strips and roast beef and Swiss sandwich was 🔥!! We tried the fish sliders and they were fire!! Fish was cooked in clean grease, flaky outside, juicy on inside. We tried the club too, it was sooo much food.

I so wish my experience at this local establishment has been better! Ordered boneless wings, garlic parm and bbq. No garlic present, Kraft parm cheese sprinkled on top and bottled bbq sauce scantily poured over breaded, dry wings. Both Looked like tenders cut up honestly. Also ordered a "special" quesadilla, very disappointed, thinnest quesadilla I've ever had. The ingredients were basically non existent. My suggestion, stick with the tried and true tenderloin or a entree salad. Unfortunately, I personally won't be back for a long , long time.

Spent 93.00 on food today based on recommendations from previous customers. Pricing wise they don't sound bad and when comparing to others around they do have good prices. However, don't think you will get Pub style portions on your food. The Double Cheeseburger is not any larger than the Single Quarter Pounder but the burgers are thicker. You only get 4 onion rings per order. If you order fries, you don't get any more fries than you get in a double cheese bundle from McDonalds basically a small it is the fries are bigger around. Tenderloins are an okay size not big though. They are maybe 1" bigger than the bun so to do a half Tenderloin sandwich you definitely are eating way more bread. DONT GET FOOD TO GO. It doesn't travel well at all. If you can't eat it there then I would not recommend this establishment. The fish and chips, you literally get 2 little pieces of fish which is no more than 1 ounce total but it too doesn't travel well. Just one big soggy ball by the time you get home and let me say I only had a 9 min drive to home and immediately started handing out boxes b4 turning off the car and the onion rings were pure soggy floppy no batter left on ring, just mushed up breading mixed in with moisture wetness inside container. Not recommended if you order anything that has a batter. They poked holes in the Styrofoam containers but definitely don't think ahead for traveling customers. Deep fry things a little longer or on a higher temp to really give it a crispy texture so it can be heated up or eaten after 10 mins. The pictures I included are a total of 5 orders of onion rings and 1 order fried mushrooms, the onion ring after 9 mins no batter and the order of fish and chips. I don't know maybe it is just me, but for 93.00 which maybe actual cost of food max 15.00 you would think you would get more for your money or at a minimum, better quality.

Stopped 6/27 for dinner. First time there. Hubby had a burger & I had the fish & chips, both very good! (Forgot to take a pic) Fun atmosphere, large outdoor deck. Super busy when we were there which is always a good sign Fair prices

Dependable Gr8 value for the $. Pub atmosphere friendly staff and clientele. Usually have two or three plate specials for lunch👍... Make a few new friends at the bar or get a table. Diverse customers base which can make for some great conversations jokes and levity. Big fan of lunch specials and get service staff.

Stopped by for lunch on Sunday. Seated right away. The waitress was lovely and attentive. She was working the whole bar without much help (that we could see). I ordered the special 3 sliders (cheeseburgers) with fries. The sliders had grilled onions and pickles. My husband got the french dip, and my mother in law ordered a cheeseburger and fries. All the food was served hot and was really, really good! Service was really good as well. My only real complaint would be that with the bar in the middle and tables all around, we did have someone's butt crack in our face the whole time 😆 We will definitely go back when we are on that side of town ❤️

An Indianapolis hidden gem! Try the fried pickles. Visited on St. Patrick's Day and had a Reuben Sandwich off their special menu and a Guinness, my friend had the Reuben Waffle Fries, and we shared an appetizer of fried pickles and mushrooms (half order each) that came with a side of ranch and cocktail sauce. Great experience even though the place was BUSY!

I was surprised by the variety of pork tenderloins, and especially their low price. The club tenderloin was huge, and we had to take half home. Our friend tried the pub tenderloin, which came out looking like a double decker and he also had to take half home. I tried the black and blue burger, and while it was cooked past what I asked for, it tasted fantastic. Great food, especially for the low price.

Complete dive but knew this was going to be good when we saw local cops walking in to eat the exact second they opened, and they filled up fast for lunch. The big pawn breaded tenderloin sandwich was incredible in both taste and value. The portion was huge and the tenderloin was fried perfectly. It was extremely crispy, not greasy or soggy, and the sauce to boot was excellent. Good came out quick, service was pretty attentive and everything tasted great. Would highly recommend their breaded tenderloin sandwiches, especially at their low prices.

Did someone say pub food? I found this place on Google Maps and had to see what they're about. One person left a review and said "best tenderloin in Indianapolis". That's a bold statement... Challenge Accepted! Soooo... Is the best I've ever had... Naw, but it was really good! I would defiantly order it again and defiantly will. It's not a pounded out thin piece of tough meat nor a frozen fritter. Yes, that's bacon and cheese on my tenderloin! Boom! The wings are really good and they cost half as much as other places. Amber enjoyed the burger and did I mention the cold beer? #supportlocalbusiness #pubfood

Been here a few times, great local spot. Food is always good and at a good price, nice beer specials as well. Waitress was not stellar but thats about the only negative thing. Will continue to go back for sure.

Although it looks a little run down on the outside, looks can be deceiving. Our service was spot on for a busy Sunday lunch. Their food is amazing! The breaded mushrooms were huge and the batter is fresh tasting. Breaded tenderloin was huge and very, very good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. I will return.

Service was slow ( we ate outside, since there were no tables inside.) The food would have been great, had it actually been hot, but it was barely lukewarm. Won't recommend.

If you are looking for a neighborhood hangout where the staff is friendly and the food is great, then you have found the place. Nothing fancy here and nice wouldn't want it any other way. The tenderloin is the best I have had in the state!
