I have made a large order like this with you several times and as you can see below the dressings were spilled everywhere and four of our seven pizzas looked like they were turned sideways. I did not notice this till the delivery person was gone or I would not have accepted it. My total order with tip was $295 and you would think spending that much money the food would be great. I am very disappointed and not sure if I will use use in the future for my staff. I really feel like a full or partial refund should have been had for this order. Hot Box has made this right by giving me a credit for my order being so crazy. For that I will give them four stars and will continue to order from them.

Well... the pizza crust is not bad, but the "Summer Pie" as described ... "This gem is our take on a classic! With Garlic, Tomato, & Fresh Basil on Olive Oil..." is absolutely NOTHING like the pizza I received. Crust? Check. Cheese? Check. That's it. No garlic. No tomato. No fresh basil. No olive oil. Substitute banana peppers and burnt sun dried tomatoes I guess? *sigh* I hate leaving poor reviews, and I thought the lower ratings might be erroneous. But sometimes we get what we deserve... as I guess I did? UPDATE: The owner (Tim) reached out and made things right. Mistakes happen, and a lesson for myself to check the accuracy of my order before I leave a restaurant. Appreciate the direct follow up and excellent customer service. We can all use a little grace, and we can all give a little as well.

A Scrumptious Journey with Hotbox Pizza: Dahlia Underwood's Culinary Delight As the world-famous food critic, Dahlia Underwood, I've had the privilege of savoring extraordinary flavors from around the globe. My recent visit to Hotbox Pizza, located at 30 E Georgia St, Indianapolis, IN 46204, was an experience that left me pleasantly surprised and craving for more. From the moment I stepped through the doors of Hotbox Pizza, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pies enveloped me, promising a culinary adventure of epic proportions. The friendly staff welcomed me warmly, fully aware of the honor bestowed upon them by my presence as a renowned critic. Hotbox Pizza's pizza creations took my taste buds on an unforgettable journey. The crust, thin and crispy, yet perfectly chewy, served as the foundation for a symphony of flavors. The tangy tomato sauce danced harmoniously with the expertly melted cheese, creating a taste sensation that captivated my palate. But let me share an amusing twist to my visit. As I ventured to their immaculate bathroom, I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of a "hot box" in a pizza joint. Rest assured, the facilities were pristine and maintained, showcasing Hotbox Pizza's dedication to cleanliness throughout. This hidden gem exudes a cozy and vibrant atmosphere that effortlessly enhances the dining experience. With its inviting ambiance and delectable pizza offerings, Hotbox Pizza is a destination not to be missed when in Indianapolis. As Dahlia Underwood, the discerning food critic, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotbox Pizza for its exceptional culinary prowess, welcoming ambiance, and, of course, the delightful surprise of their impeccably clean "hot box" bathroom.

FOUND A STAPLE IN MY PIZZA, found it when I pulled it out of my mouth after taking a few bites of pizza. This is so unsafe, unprofessional and my 2 year old got lucky and THEY got lucky it wasn’t in my child’s food. I would call and demand a refund but judging off the employees SHXT attitudes I know it’s be a waste of my time. Last time I come here. DISGUSTING!

We never had the chance to try the food. We tried to place an order for delivery over the phone from our hotel. I tried to ask a couple of questions since we didn't have a menu. The person on the phone give a couple of words for an explanation. Like, "it's a pizza with stuff on it". I just decided to simplify and I odered a cheese pizza and two salads. They hung up. Since I had given name, number, and location, I called back. I asked if she still had the order and she said yes, so I asked for the total. It was $79.98. I said, "for a small pizza and 2 salads"? She said ya, that's right. It told her to cancel it! I don't think they wanted the order. Not sure what was going on there. No worries. We won't deal with HotBox again. Center City location. 9/18/2023 around 9:00pm

Placed order at 10:04pm for delivery. Said it would be here by 11:34pm. Called at 11:45, and told it was on it's way out the door. Called again at 12:20am, again told it was on it's way out the door. Figured it wasn't coming by 1:00am and laid down. Heard a knock on my hotel room door at 1:25am, and there was the pizza. Pizza arrived 2 hours late. I shouldn't have accepted the delivery but who wants to chance a confrontation with an unknown person at 1:30 in the morning. Who wants to chance eating something that is no longer warm. Disappointing way to end a fun day in Indy, and waste of time and money.

Horrible service to start asked for delivery service I understand that the marathon was today but driver was super rude and disrespectful the manager was nice but I had to pick up my order he did comp my food but I work for a hotel and refer hot box all the time but after that experience I'm not sure if I want to anymore. If you work in customer service you got to have patience, having an attitude you will receive one back but if the customer is trying to be understanding so shall the driver. My pizza was cold as well but I appreciate the manager trying to fix the issue.

My husband and I were in the city for a weekend and decided to try a local pizza place. I always read reviews and base choices on what others have or have not said but didn't actually read a single one about HotBox Pizza after finding it on a google search. The online menu looked like something we would have our options with and the pictures, while some looked a little messy, the food all looked good. I called to place an order for delivery, asked if they would deliver to our hotel (YES!) and spoke with someone whom was very quick to help (specialty pizza order) and said to give them about 40 mins and the driver would call when they were in the lobby. 20 minutes (maybe?) later and my phone was ringing, our pizza was in the lobby. The sweetest woman greeted me and got me call set. Y'all, not only was the service great but this pizza was phenomenal! Absolutely recommend the downtown Indianapolis location on Georgia.

Hot Box was amazing and fed so many people at pride that they ran out of pizza! I wasn’t even mad. I will be ordering from you guys in the future though. Love

Ordered 2 pizzas for delivery, 2 hours later and there is still no pizza. Ended up delivering to different place. Lady was very very very rude. When I asked to talk to the manager she said she is the manager. Unprofessional people like them should not be managing. Pizza was sitting at the different spot over 1 hour. When picked it up it was cold. Felt like 3 day old pizza. No apology and acted like it’s my fault. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Paying $75 and not getting a hot/warm pizza, name should be changed to COLDBOX

The food felt homemade in the worst way possible. I’m pretty sure there were also multiple health code violations, only good thing was the cups, coolest disposable cups I’ve ever seen.

Easy to order online. Love that I could order ahead for a later time. Fast delivery! Great pizza and awesome cheese stix!

Gave me a pizza with no sauce. I ordered with regular sauce on Door dash. It's literally just cheese and bread and some Tootsie Pops. I get better service at Little Caesars LOL

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this local favorite. I had the chicken ranch with "skinny" crust and it was PHENOMENAL! It was the pizza of the week...so even half price! Fast, friendly pick up service at the Georgia St. location. Recommend!

Ordered pizza at 6:45pm tonight. They told us it would be an 103 min wait. We called around 8 to see where we would need to be and if the driver would call when he got here (because we were ordering for the Indians game at victory field). They told us yes they would and he was walking out the door and would be there no later than 8:30. My husband went and stood out front for 15 mins before calling at 8:40 and they told him oh the driver is just walking out.. like they told him 40 mins ago. We had to cancel our order because the game is now in the 9th inning and will be over before they get here. Horrible service, would not recommend.

Pizza was hot when delivered. Breadsticks where the best I have had in a while and tootsie rolls were a bonus. Definitely will order again next time when I'm in town.

The pizza was full flavored and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was enjoyable for me. There's a TV to watch while waiting so I don't have to look around awkwardly while I wait.

Build your own pizza tasted like cafeteria pizza. Bland, boring and mediocre at best. Cheese had no taste, there were about 15 slices of onion on the whole pizza and the sausage was strange! It was like weird, grated meat with a funky flavor. The breadsticks were hard and bland, to the point where we took one bite each and threw them away. Definitely a disappointment and won’t be order from them again.

A bit of a hidden gem tucked around the busyness of Indy nightlife. Only a few tables to sit at to eat in, so is best to order and take out. Best options for take out are to order via DoorDash or order ahead and pick up due to limited delivery drivers. We got “The Deal”. Friendly staff and very good pizza!

Used to be my go-to for pizza delivery downtown, but the last few times I've ordered from here have been lackluster: The pizza always arrives 15+ minutes late; not enough to be a huge deal, but it gets irritating when it's every single time (I understand sometimes things happen, but this is a pattern at this point). Not only is it late, but the pizza's stone cold with a hard overcooked crust, and also somehow lacking in flavor. Chef Mike (microwave) has to save the day, but it used to be a lot better than this. If you can find a good location they're usually good, but this downtown one is unreliable and has gone downhill recently. Maybe pick-up order is the best way to go here, not sure.
