This place is OVERRATED Customer service was alright. I had to ask to be seated. The seats are terrible. I feel like they kept the same chairs when the place opened. Definitely got them from Martin when Rent Em Spoons closed down. The waffles were fire but that chicken needed to be baptized in more seasoning. Definitely try them out. I haven’t tried their other menu items. Hopefully they taste just as great as the waffles

Another must-go spot when in L.A. Fried Chicken and Waffles is such a good combo. Ordered Scoe #1, 1/4 Chicken with Waffles and honestly it's amazing. It came with wings and breast, and it was delicious, Chicken was spot-on and I seriously finished the stacks of Waffles because it was that good. Service is also excellent and very friendly as always. Until next time!

Very nice location. Most of the staff was welcoming. We had the coffee ☕️ and the #9 with eggs 🥚 and potatoes 🥔 on the side. The food was actually very good. Waffles 🧇 were perfect. Chicken 🐔 was a little too crispy for me, but it was still good. Nothing was over seasoned. Our server was wonderful. It was pretty pricey but if you want good food you pay the price. Glad we stopped by to see what all the hoopla was about. And they delivered nicely. 😋

This place has the best fried chicken that I have ever eaten! Fresh, hot and crispy on the outside. Tender, flavorful and juicy on the inside. Fantastic for breakfast. The coffee was fresh, hot and good. Fast, friendly, service. I recommend you try it.

We visited LA as part of our honeymoon and of course we had to check out the famous Roscoe's! I gave it a 3 for overall taste, but the chicken deserves a 4! The chicken was on point! I normally use condiments, but there was no need. The waffles and syrup were subpar. I have had better and fresher waffles, and the syrup very light, which was okay. The waffles were soft and limp...nothing special. They reminded me of Waffle House waffles. The lemonades were delicious and refreshing.

Roscoe's is a Los Angeles classic. One of the "food" places I think of when I think of Los Angeles is Roscoe's. Sadly, the food itself isn't that great. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it just taste like a rusty spoon "diner" Sandwich. I think the only thing setting it a part was Roscoe's own hot sauce recipe. We probably used half a bottle during this meal. You can slather the chicken in it, and frankly it kind of needs it, without it, the breast is very dry. The corn bread was really good, but I'm biased towards corn bread. The Mac and cheese was ok, it could probably use more cheese. I go back to this traditional feeling food. This place has been around for a long time. I just don't think it's really updated it's menu since it first opened. Also, these two meals cost $50, it's way over priced for what you're getting.

Walked in on a Sunday just past noon, and was seated in a couple of minutes. But the wait after felt like forever. I timed it and it took about 45 minutes for us to get the food after we were seated. Service felt very slow and not particularly friendly (though I'm assuming they are overworked Sunday mornings?). Food was pretty good though. Especially the fried chicken was on point. Waffles were good. Collard greens were okay. Eggs were good. Tables were cleaned but had a slightly funky smell, possibly from the rag they use to wipe it down. Go for the chicken and waffles. Unsure if there is a way to order ahead and have your food ready to eat there by the time you get there - if so that would be the best option.

I arrived from LAX and it is close in proximity. They opened at 8am. The seats are kinda out dated and floor under table was sticky. The staff was all nice with great service. I had chicken breast and waffle. The chicken was 8/10. The waffle was 4/10. I had o.j mix with sprite...yummy. For 4 people bill was $100

It was my first time going to the infamous Roscoe's in Inglewood on a trip to LA. It lived up to it's hype! Already craving those wings and fluffy waffles. Service was extremely fast for a Sunday morning. We were seated right away and our food came out just a few minutes after ordering. Must visit when you're in the area!

The chicken and waffles are good and you should order that and only that (don’t be silly like me and get the grits and smothered chicken because you will be disappointed by the cold lumpy unseasoned grits and bland gravy). Honestly, the dirty tables, countless dead flies on the windowsills and overprice subpar food reminds me of Waffle House. I would recommend just to say you went, especially if you want to hit all the tourist LA spots but don’t have high expectations.

this used to be a must for me whenever I'm in LA, that might end after this. their waffle is still delicious and their chicken still pairs well with it. but I've noticed the quality dip the past few years. half of the chicken we got was obviously cooked for a while before serving. price is still reasonable. we came on off hours so service was good. we will be back on our next trip there, but unlike before, only if the schedule and location permits

We were in Inglewood for a concert and had to try the famous Roscoe's chicken and waffles. The chicken is fried well but was a little light on seasoning for me. The buckwheat waffle is thin and chewy, served with a lot of butter and small individual syrup. The staff was friendly but a little disorganized. Overall the decor is dated and oddly laid out. Worth a try but I don't need to go back.

A nasty mess. That could not have been mac and cheese. And I don't like feathers on my bird. I live in the south. We know good food. That place needs a revamp. Popeyes got them beat hands down.

Waffle was great. Chicken fingers were good. The chicken livers were good but just a little over cooked for my taste. I would get them again. The liver order was so large that I asked for a to-go tray before I had the first bite.

My first time visiting here on the last day of my first trip to LA from the East Coast and can say that the food was tasty. Chicken was seasoned well & fried hard. Mac was decent but the waffles were soggy.

This was easily without question the very best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Bar none. Hands down. Zero competition. I’m coming here every time I’m in LA henceforth and forever more. Awesome. Outstanding.

Don't come here UNLESS you want to feel misrible with a sore tummy, from stuffing yourself on great food. You might also get diabetes eating here, because of the sweet super friendly staff. The place feels like home and the staff treats you like family. I would DEFANATLY go again.

Closest one to LAX! The food is consistent with the other locations. The service was good. Randy's donuts is also within the same block. Knock out two birds with one stone! I recommend the Obama Special, it's my favorite! Three wings and two waffles!!

  • 5/5 Cris S. 9 months ago on Google
For those who don't know, their food is great. The Obama special is a great breakfast choice, the Sunrise drink is great and their new hot sauce line up is amazing - smokey Reaper, chunky salsa or the classic Louisiana style to go on top of great chicken. If you know, you know.

This was my first time ever trying chicken and waffles, and I'm glad to say, that I thoroughly enjoyed my first time! I don't know what batter they use for those waffles, but it's MAGICAL!! And I had to admit that no one has ever made better fried chicken than my mother, until now. I'm only upset that I couldn't take their AMAZING hot sauce back home with me because it is more than 3 oz and I have to adhere to TSA rules. 🥺😢 BUT i WILL be back once I visit LA again!!

Wanted to love it, but it was just OK at best. I was not wowed by taste of the food. The chicken is much better than the waffles though in my opinion. But I feel you could have gotten the same quality of food at any diner (for less $$). Next time I visit, I'll probably try a different location to compare.

We visited this location with a large group and the server did her best to accommodate everyone. She was helpful and served as quickly as possible. The food was served fresh and hot. The chicken was perfectly crispy. The restaurant had a chill and clean atmosphere.

Stopped thru for lunch and went with the leg and thigh chicken and waffle. The waffle is certainly the winner here for me. The batter had this hint of cinnamon or something that set this apart from any waffles I've had before. Now you add the syrup and butter on top to take it over the top. 9.5. The chicken was cool it wasn't bad plus it was seasoned well too...added a few dabs to their house-branded hot sauce to make it legit. 8.2. Washed everything down with their lemonade which was top-tier as well...very refreshing. Overall if this is your first time in LA stop here and give them a try. 8.5

This place is ok. Some people absolutely love it. Maybe because I didn't grow up with it? It's good. A bit overpriced. I had the chili. I like it more than their chicken.

Came to Roscoe’s on our way back to the airport. It didn’t look too busy but it picked up. Service is a bit slow. We were left standing waiting for a table for a few minutes before server Sheneva (please forgive me if that’s not her name) asked if we had been helped. She sat us and we waited again for at least 10 minutes before she again asked if we had been helped. She took our order and even suggested I get the sunrise lemonade over the orange juice. I had Carols Special and my friend had the chicken tenders combo. Both were very yummy. The coleslaw tasted like it had been left out but the chicken and waffles were delicious. I’d recommend just sticking to the staples so your expectations are not betrayed. The chicken tenders were way better than the chicken thigh. The thigh was crispy and flavorful but a little dry. Sheneva was so sweet and she definitely deserved a good tip which she got. I’d come back again!

After the high reviews I thought my experience would be a slam dunk but it was disappointing. Ordered the combo with red beans and rice, two thighs and a wing. Chicken was fried so long it was almost like jerky. Plus it took longer than 30 mins for my take out order and no one acknowledged me while I was standing there for about 15 mins. A few staff members were just sitting around, tables still dirty, and not helping people waiting in the lobby. The hot sauce was fire though, I'd give them that. Wouldn't come here again.
