We stopped at one of the lookout points at the Lebanese border, where modern colourful food wagons were well-positioned to serve the many tour groups that were soaking up the history. A short walk led us to a magnificent public garden with exquisitely manicured bushes. We then went to nearby Kibbutz Amir for a quick lunch at the very busy Ha'Eglon Foodtruck, where we enjoyed the most delicious fresh felafel and salad in a relaxed atmosphere in the small eating area under the trees. We ended our day with a visit to the Agamon Hula visitors centre in the Hula Valley, where we joined the guided ride at dusk on the safari wagon through the fields to observe the thousands of cranes flying in for their end-of-day feed and rest. We had the most wonderful two night stay here over the weekend. The apartment is beautifully decorated and fully equipped. There are air conditioners and fans provided in both rooms, a must in the heat of summer. A fridge, microwave and portable stove top if you want to cook anything. The property is huge and great to go exploring with kids,there is a jungle gym, and a hammock outside, perfect to relax at the end of the day.
