Completely disgusting experience here. The receptionist/owner had a very inappropriate behaviour, approaching to me and trying to hug me and laying on me to take a photo without any permission. Completely out of the blue and uncomfortable. No one has the right to do this without any consent. 0 recommendable. About the room, there was a person living in the room so everything was occupied by this person, and really unpleasant too. Be careful when choosing here

Only thing more gross than the shower was the treatment of female guests. Room was ok, you get what you pay for, the bathroom had some mold but that's also ok. There were two members of staff, the Farsi speaking staff member was nothing but kind and helpful. The other however was incredibly inappropriate towards a female guest multiple times until she left. Women should be careful staying here.

I've had a great stay here and the staff are superb as is the owner.. at the end of the day it's a busy hostel and you can't expect the world it's a place to lay your head in safety with some added comfort, but in all it's always what you and the staff make it. We made it fantastic! I have met new friends and I've been treated like family. The location is perfect! You have many places around to eat, drink and be merry also you're in the perfect location to go anywhere on foot to explore. The hostel offers a terrace with cooking facilities and a place to store your food. It's a very social hub so make sure you use it when you visit. So thanks to all the staff and the guests who I spent time with especially Mustafa who I went on some pretty cool adventures with during my stay! 🙏

This is the worst hotel in Istanbul ever. The place is very dirty and unclean and the rooms always smell bad Toilets are very dirty and not cleaned The hotel manager always wants more money and he's so mean The hotel manager was also eating what was inside the fridge without permission $300 of my money was stolen at that place It was the worst experience in Istanbul Never go to it because it will spoil your trip!

Great place and great location! Cumhur is one of the nicest people we met ! Gave us so much advice and tips to get the best out of trip to Istanbul. Highly recommend !

Avrasya Hostel - Istanbul The location of the hotel is very close to many historic sights of Istanbul. The price was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was relatively clean. The terrace has a perfect view to the sea and some sights around and you can use it during the night too, another good thing about the terrace is that you never get bored there, like many other hostels, you can usually find other people in terrace and start a conversation with them and enjoy the talk. The breakfast was good. You can have boiling water, tea or coffee whenever you want. We stayed in a dormitory room, it was a bit dark, but it generally it was very good. Another good thing is that you can leave your bags there for some hours after you checkout to visit other places. We did it, we checked out at 11, but left our bags with them, then at 5 pm went back and got our stuff.

Place is not new, but guys who work there - Ali and Cumur make the place worth checking out! It is a very quiet hostel, if you want to just chill And sleep it is perfect! Decent kitchen, Ali cleans every day, and cumur is a kindhearted guy who will recommend and suggest non touristic cheap places around hostel. Location is perfect, 1 minute from blue mosque. I went for morning prayers there!

The location is amazing, close to the main must-see attractions, but the best part of this hostel is for sure the staff. They helped us with every part of the trip and made us feel right at home. It's definitely a must stay

The staff were extremely friendly and it was both very affordable and close to the centre. I had a single room on the first night and a dorm bed the second. The dorm rooms are clean and neat. The bathrooms in one of the female dorms had a considerable amount of mould on the ceiling. The second bathroom was fine. The hostel single room was functional but the bathroom smelled so considerable I had to keep the door closed. The single room is also directly next to the staircase, so as it was Friday evening people congregate there and noise travels considerably. At 2300 people were having an argument in the kitchen shouting loudly at each other, which went on for 10 minutes and I don’t think staff noticed or did anything about it. Would probably not visit again but recommend both location and price if you’re short for money.

I chose this hostel because it was one of the cheapest and very central. Unfortunately, it is not very clean - the bathroom seemed as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and was always flooded. You are supposed to check out until 10:30 - at 10 the owner burst into the room and started making the beds and changing the linen. It’s ok if you are on a very tight budget, but you would suggest to invest 3€ more into a nicer hostel.

Wir haben hier nur einen Transfer zum Flughafen gebucht, nicht im Hostel geschlafen. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hat einen guten Preis (30 Euro für zwei Personen) für den Transport zum Flughafen angeboten. Er hat sich um alles gekümmert und uns sogar selbst zum Taxi gebracht, als der Fahrer im Stau feststeckte.

I had made reservation but when I turned up they said reservation cancelled. Hostelsworld did not cancel. Hostelsworld refunded my deposit which prove it was cancelled by them. The guy cant show me proof there is email instruction I had cancelled. It was very disappointing. I had a very long journey and need a place to rest. They claimed free parking. Yes it is but almost all filled up . Paid Parking is expensive.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, reception at the summit, I stayed for 15 days, it is the best place in Istanbul My brother Muhammad at the reception is a good and light-hearted man

their drunk guests are staying till 03.00 outside the door shouting and screaming in the street without any respect for the neighborhood and owners don't care. i think it's not bad to remind owners about the Turkish low - from 23.00 till 09.00 is quite time and a fine for breaking it is 36096 lira.

I stayed there for 5 nights, it is good for the price overall. Advantages: 1. good location, 2. staff speaks sufficiently good English. 3. Lockers with keys 4. Hairdryer 5. Clean beds and bathrooms 6. Negotiable prices The disadvantages include: 1. Insects, i saw a spider in the shower once and a fly near my bed once. there were like 10 snails in the backyard where i used to hang my wet socks to let them dry, but if you don’t wash you’re socks you won’t need to go there i guess. 2. One guy from the staff used to sleep in the same room as the guests (the 12 bed dorm) and he used to snore sometimes which disturbed my sleep for a night. 3. Very few air exchange in the room.

Excelent location. Rooms confortable and always clean. But the best its the stuff. Cosmos help us with everything excelent attention. He speak english, arabic, spanish and french

You are probably checking reviews weather this hostel is gonna fit you or not just like when i was checking them too , and yes it worth it i visited and when i met LEVENT he warmly welcomed me and I thought he was my friend for long time I could book private room for the price i wanted but because there is a dormitory and different people gonna be your roommates he made them feel free to have fun without making noise if someone want to sleep early they also have kitchen upstairs cook whatever you want so if you want to have fun tonight go ahead and visit avrasya hostel asap

A bit of a late review. I booked this hostel in March and stayed there for a week in a shared dormitory. It was the cheapest option available with the best location. Hostel is located in a historical centre of Istanbul SultanAhmet district in 2 mins from Haya Sofia. Staff and an owner were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and toilets were cleaned daily. Even tho the kitchen was a bit messy my overall impression is very positive😉👍

The hostel is very good whether you go with family or friends. It is 1 minute from the center and the receptionists are very nice, they help you in everything they can and offer you offers.

If you are searching for affordable price for the hotel near tourism spots , I recommend this hotel. Plus, the hotel is located in safe place. I asked the reception a lot of things but he friendly helped me every time. I really appreciate them and I am sure I stay in the hotel again.

First, you get what you pay for. this is for sure. but for one of the cheapest options in Istanbul I enjoyed staying there during my solo travel in Dec 2022. first it has a nice and helpful owner mr. Muhammad. it also has hot water with good pressure to take a good shower. the access to blue mosque, grand Bazaar and public transport is good, 5-10min walk. the cleanliness of bed sheets and blankets could be better. overally I advise you to stay there.

the romms are nice it's equipped with tables beds, air conditioner. the toilet and the shower are dirty. The carpet is dirty, but in general it's nice. they don't change covers towels each day like other hotels and there is not enough covers for four persons. the kitchen is dirty. the service is bad not like other hotels, they are more friendly. the price is more expensive than the offer.

The low price is amazing considering the extremely central location (on the way there you always walk along both the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet mosque). The service was okay, but it was really unsettling that anyone could just walk in. Though the female 6-bed room has two bathrooms, both the showers leak a lot and have black mold in them. The rooms also smelled and aren't in great shape. Would recommend for a cheap 1 or 2-night stay if you want to be close to some great attractions, but not if you want a longer, more comfortable stay. Would feel a lot more uncomfortable if I was travelling solo.

I like this hostel very much! People who work inside is very friendly and helpful. This hostel even have terrace. Good kitchen and warm temperature inside. Quality is very good and location is perfect! Also it’s very good price! I rate this hostel 10/10! ❤️

It was really a good experience, the staff is so welcoming specially the owner Mürat and the receptionist Levent.The rooms are good too they clean it everyday and also this hostel is so close from sultan ahmet and haghia sofia.

The location and staff are superb, the hostel in general is very clean with one exception. The kitchen was filthy and people were smoking in there which made it even worse. When a complaint was made they did only the basics cleaning the surfaces but nothing else. I booked this hostel because I wanted a kitchen but ended up eating out because I didnt feel safe cooking here.

+nice and clean rooms +very good location near the tramway (remember it works until 12Am ), +everynight our way back to room passed through of historical mosque's +calm neighbourhood in night so you can sleep well (considering you are in heart of Sultan Ahmed district) +there is a nice balcony and lobby the meet new guys -there us a useful kitchen but dishes and other staff was dirty,I khow it's on passengers to do that but some time(weekly at least ) should be clean and organized by the owner i think.

The most beautiful hostel in Istanbul near (less than 5 min) to Topkapi Palace, Sultan Ahmed Mosk and Ayasofya. Very safe and comfortable place. Friendly and helpful staff. You will really feel here like at home.

Great place just walking into that magical hostel looks very nice and clean and Adam was a good guy he is gonna help you anything you struggle with and help you save a lot of your money from overpriced food shopping and everyone please visit there highly recommended

We didn’t even stay here but this hostel was right next door to our hotel. I peaked through my window and saw they do laundry service and I was in dire need of clean laundry after traveling for 2.5 weeks. I walked over and the people at the front desk were SUPER helpful not only with our laundry, but they also gave us tips for things to do in Istanbul. We also saw they had an affordable private transfer to the airport and it was an affordable price, which we booked and were VERY pleased with. They also have a communal but still small shuttle that has a few stops of the way to the airport for 12€. They also offered to book some tours for us but we didn’t have more time otherwise we would have done one with them! Very friendly and helpful people here! Not sure about the accommodations but worth looking at.

tl;dr: creepy staff member, consider avoiding if you are a woman This is a fine hostel, you get what you pay for in terms of rooms and facilities, and the location is good for tourist spots. HOWEVER be very careful staying here if you are a woman. A friend we were travelling with had a very bad experience with one of the staff, including a bag of underwear left on her bed as a gift with a hand written note attached. He was sleeping in the same dorm room. We explained the situation to a Farsi speaking staff member, who was very accommodating, and one of the men in our group swapped beds with her.
