This lokantasi serves very good and fresh food. I tried the pide and lahmacun which were freshly baked. So scrumptious. The locals eat here so I had a go as I feel this is authentic Turkish food. Don't be afraid to try. I strongly recommend it. The price is also very reasonable.

We came here for a quick meal on our way to the bus stop and were shocked, definitely a little secret spot with an amazing view up the hill, the people were attentive and the food was great with cheap prices filling up two people for about £7 altogether including many refills of their lovely compot drink on a hot day!

We followed our nose and the locals for this great little hole in the wall restaurant. It's just at the foothill of suleymaniye mosque and what a great place to eat. All the dishes was excellent, staff was attentive and helpful, price very reasonable. One of the best meals we had at Istanbul. Many locals throng this place at lunch time. The locals only ordered 1 or 2 dishes as free bread was provided. We ordered 6 dishes for 2 and we finished it all. It was that good. The chicken stew, yummy. The price came to TL 250. Very reasonable IMO.

Amazing local spot. No one speaks English but a waiter really helped me out and brought me some great food. Tipped him like 50 lira for his efforts and he was kind enough to grab me a tea next door as I was leaving

Best food I tried in Istanbul! Very local, and nice atmosphere. A cosy (and sometimes bustling) place to sit down both inside and outside, with friendly and welcoming people.

Truly authentic local food. There is a selection of already prepared food that was delicious. And also a menu to order from. At lunch time it is packed and fast paced yet the staff were kind, pleasant, and helpful. Prices are great. If you want great local food with no pretense, this is a perfect place.
